((-nodnod- In my intro, it said towards the end, 'his coat shone a burnished dark bay color'. So yeah. x3 And Revolution was talking to Adrianna.))

Adrianna thought for a second or two. "You know what," she nickered, "I have no idea." She tossed her head and pranced in a circle around the stallion, saying, "I guess I never really bothered to remember anything like that." She paused in front of him and said, "What about you? Where does your grass grow?"

"My birth took place 'round the wildernesses of the good ol' town of Oka-la-homa," he responded after a bit of thought. He didn't quite know what the name meant or what was the point of it, but he rather liked sounding out the syllables. "To tell the truth, I ain't really rememberin' much 'bout my young suns and moons at bein' a colt, but I am recallin' most things about me dam..." he added, affection filling his eyes as he thought about his mother.
It was only after he had said these words when he acknowledged the mare who had come second with a flick of his tail and ears. "'Cello to you as well," he whinnied nonchalantly. He oftentimes got mares surrounding him -- he easily knew ways to divert them and to get out of their way. Most mares he had met often wanted him as a mate for them -- like he would ever fall for any one of them. It just wasn't in his nature to love, but he didn't know. Perhaps he just hadn't found the correct choice of mare yet.
Out of the corner of his eye, Revolution saw a stallion whose pelt was so white, it nearly hurt his eyes to look at the sun glinting off. Most other stallions would've felt a threat at having another stallion so near, but Revolution didn't see any point in scaring off another stallion. Besides, Revolution himself wasn't that interested in starting those groups of horses known as "herds". He, like his sire and dam lived the good, solid life of a loner.

"Dartanian..." Kayani murmured softly, rolling the foreign name around in her mouth. It sounded a bit akward, but she knew that she would get it one day. The stallion seemed quite charming and she could almost say she liked him, but a menacing voice in her head said Don't forget that he was like this when you were a foolish little filly. She tossed her elegant head high in the air, attempting to finally rid herself of these thoughts.
Dartanian watched the pure white mare's actions with confusion and puzzlement, but he didn't pursue any questions. "Lady Kayani, will you honor me with a walk?" he asked her, his voice still polite like always. He wanted to get into the shade, for beads of sweat had formed on his blood bay coat and were beginning to drip down -- a rather undignified position in his opinion.
Kayani didn't know what to reply. Yes? No? Emotions flitted through her freely -- terror, happiness, melancholy, frustration, delight, and many more. What was she supposed to say? She was afraid of the stallion because of her past and her belief -- you could even call it a stereotype -- that all stallions were like that. Happiness? Why, the reason for that was the simple question of when was the last time she had ever had equine company so polite and considerate? The rest of the emotions branched off of her current ones, making it nearly impossible for her to think clearly.
Finally, with a large amount of effort, Kayani managed to utter a single word in her melodic voice: "Yes."

"Well dams are the ones who raise you," Adrianna whinnied sensibly. "Of course you remember most about them. They're the ones who birthed you." She trotted around the stallion in a circle again until she saw the other mare. "Hello!" she said enthusiastically. She halted suddenly, threw one front leg forward, ducked her head down low, then swung her head back up. "How're you today?"
((Adrianna's reminding me painfully of Battooth XD))

Revolution contemplated the sense that the mare made. He gave a nod and watched with amusement as Adrianna trotted a circle around him -- again -- and then a circle around the new mare. Again, he brushed his relatively long tail across his hindquarters to again rid himself of the bugs that tortured him. He winced as they still managed to bit him; he would have either pain or itchiness after this. He longed for shade, although even more bugs usually waited him if he ever attempted to go into a shady glade that was just off the open meadow.

Dartanian's brown eyes gleamed with happiness as the pretty mare accepted his offer. "Shall we go, then, my lady?" he asked, dipping his head in a bow and gesturing with his tail for her to go first before him.
Kayani blinked, fear clouding her soft blue eyes slightly. Was she sure that she could trust this stallion? What could he do to her? Was all that politeness a mask, or was it truly how the stallion was? Was he a light stallion, a neutral, or a pure dark?
Kayani made a few quick, light steps forward to show that Dartanian could follow. He soon ambled side by side with her. She gave a mental sigh of relief when they reached the shade. Although she hadn't suffered so much from the heat of the sun thanks to her lustrous white coat, it looked as if the sunlight had taken its toll on Dartanian's dark blood bay coat.
Glancing to the side through pale azure eyes, Kayani saw splashes of different colors dotting the lush green meadows that were placed upon rolling hills. Golden sunshine streamed from overhead, causing everything to seem like it was thriving and well. Even the forest glades were looking beautiful, with glossy green leaves rustling slightly as a breeze pulled through, lifting her silky locks of mane up a bit.

Dance's eyes clouded with discouragement, for the stallion hadn't taken much interest in her. "Do you want to go for a walk?" She asked, shaking her Arab head slightly, to get the cloudyness out of her azure eyes. She thought the rolling green sunlight kissed feilds would be nice, sort of...romantic. She had been waiting for the right stallion, and she had the feeling Revoloution was it. She danced a bit, her silver hooves shining .

Revolution blinked, startled at the mare's quick question. He shook his head, not wanting to really go for a walk with a mare he hadn't even spoke to that much yet. "You don't even know my name," he stated. It wasn't a retort, just a simple comment that he believed to be true. How was he expected to go with a mare on a walk when he didn't even know who she was and what she was like? That was a thing that he disliked in mares -- always trying to jump to the romantic part of the situation. Why did the female gender of any species of animal always expect the male to chase after them and try to woo and win their heart?
Adrianna, perhaps, he would go for a walk with, but nothing for this thing called love. The only reason why he would accompany her on a walk, though, was for the fact that she had introduced herself to him and had spoken to him for a bit -- he didn't really care for a mare that simply greeted him and then immediately asked him to go for a walk with her. Other stallions might have thought differently, but Revolution was his own independent mind, easily capable of thinking for himself and not liking others to make decisions for him.

"The sun glints off of your coat beautifully, m'lady Kayani," Dartanian complimented, gazing at Kayani with an enraptured look. Normally he wouldn't have felt such closeness to a mare he had just met, but the fact that she looked so much like Alizay brought him closer to her. Alizay... His long lost love was never coming back. Surely wherever in the stars she was right now, she wouldn't deny him the right of another love, right?
If equines could blush, a bright crimson red color would've spread throughout Kayani's whole entire face, standing out bluntly against her pure white coat. "Thank you," she responded. She wondered if she should attempt to adress him by his name. It was a bit odd sounding, but it had a rather... nice ring to it.
The herd... It can't be... Don't let it die... My foal, my foal... Where is he? I can't see... The whispers. Kayani tossed her fine head in the air, trying to rid herself of the memories that still continued and continued to haunt her. Why couldn't they just leave her alone? Flashes of memory passed through her eyes, blocking out the view of the beautiful scenery surrounding. Suddenly, Kayani halted. Her knees began to buckle and she sank to the ground.
Dartanian turned, a worried look passing through his warm gaze. "Ali- I mean, Lady Kayani," he whinnied worriedly, stopping and facing her. "What is wrong, miss?" he asked, looking down at her.
Kayani looked up at him with his blood bay coat and his brown eyes. He seemed so inviting and welcoming, but her past wouldn't let her be something of at least friends with him. "I'm sorry," she told him. "Dartanian," she neighed, adding his dubbance at the end of her phrase quickly. "My past is getting to me."

"I-I-I'm sorry, I...didn't...mean itlike that..." Dance knew she was making a fool out of herself. "My name is Dance. Whats yours?" she asked politely, bowing her head slightly.
Icefire walked over to the two horses that here walking together. "Hello." He said, bowing his head once again, letting long tresses of wavy white mane spill down. He looked at both Kayani and Dartanian, thinking she was rather pretty. But something else caught his eyes. A beautiful chestnut mare near his sister, Dance, and a black stallion. "My dubbance is Iceifre, may I ask what dubbance your mother blessed you with?" He asked to Dartanian and Kayani.

((Argh. Revolution isn't black. He's a dark /brown/ currently since he has mud on him, but without the mud, he's a lighter bay. ^^)
"I'mma called Revolution," Revolution responded, glad that they were finally getting somewhere besides the frank and abrupt question. "But some folk like shortenin' my name to Rev which is fine," he added, lowering his head for the third time to clip the grass neatly with his flat, white teeth.
The sweat beads that had formed on him were now streaking down his coat with the sun's rays beating hard into his dark bay coat. Because of the sweat, the mud he had rolled in began to slid off, exposing a lighter bay coat instead of the dark one that the mud had caused him to have.

Kayani looked up at Dartanian, for she was still down on her knees. She saw that a questioning look passed through his eyes, but thankfully saved her from answering by turning to answer the newcoming stallion's inquiry. "Dartanian," he whinnied in response, saying his name for what seemed to be the millionth time.
With effort, Kayani stood up. Instantly, she shied away and sidestepped out of fear for the stallion. It was true that his coat was white like hers, while the stallion from the past had had a coat that was as dark as his heart, Kayani still didn't trust the stallion. You could call it somewhat of a biased belief -- stereotype, even -- but she didn't care. Her past was enough proof to her that all stallions were malevolent and tried to toy with her.
So what was Dartanian trying to do? Trying to charm her into liking him with all his pretty speech and flattery? "W-w-w-what do you want with my name?" she asked the new stallion, her voice starting out shaky but soon gaining confidence.
In her mind, Kayani had made a new resolution -- she wouldn't be pushed around by stallions anymore. No, she would stand up and ask them full out without fear what they wanted to do with her. A voice inside her said menacingly, You're forgetting what being like that before the incident did to you. She tossed her head high in the air yet again, trying to shake the whispers and the voice from her head.

"I just wanted to meet you. I'ts okay if you don't want to give me your name," He said politely to the mare, still glancing at the chestnut mare. "I guess you want me to go?" He asked, still wondering what the blood bay stallion's name was. Maybe they could be friends, and then they could be friends. --xx-- "Nice name" Dance complimented, for she had never met a horse with that name. "Where were you born? I was born under that cherry tree, and I've lived here all my 3 years. She gestured with her fine head to a beautiful cherry tree nearby.

"Under the good 'ol shady glades of the wildernesses of Oka-la-homa," he relayed again, having just told all this information to Adrianna. He glanced at her, wondering if she was going to come into the conversation. He found the conversation currently to be quite boring -- just simple introductions. Well, he didn't like them. Too boring and too fancy shmancy. He didn't really care to use the flattery and polite language that some other equines used. It was just stupid.
No, Revolution wasn't a stallion that hated things, he just didn't bother to try to fit in with other equines. Why bother doing it? He wanted to be known as himself, one of a million, not one in a million. He liked to stand out -- with his attitude though, not his looks. A little ways off, he saw two stallions and a mare speaking to each other. The white mare seemed rather frightened; almost terriffied. Why? Was there something to be afraid of around here? She seemed rather pretty, but seemed flighty and unstable.

"It's Kayani," the white mare managed to sputter out in a melodic voice, even though she attempted to force her voice not to quiver like it did now. Dartanian, sensing her unease, moved quickly up to her and touched his muzzle lightly to her flank. Kayani, unaccustomed to the touch of another equine, especially a stallion, nearly kicked him but stopped herself just in time. His muzzle was cool against her flank and it had a strange... comforting sense.
"Lady Kayani has experienced some horrendous events in her past," Dartanian snorted matter-of-factly, bringing back his muzzle and looking at the mare all over. If she hadn't been shaking and was a bit more confident, she would've been the exact picture of Alizay. Oh, his beloved Alizay. It seemed as if when she had died, her spirit had been carried on by this mare, Kayani.

Adrianna snorted as Revolution repeated himself. "Can't think of anything better huh?" she teased. She looked at Dance. "Dance is an interesting name," she stated. "Why'd your mum name you that?" She had only just noticed a few other horses nearby, and noticed with a touch of wariness that one horse kept looking in their direction. She looked back at Dance, hoping if she looked away, the other horse would either stop looking or just come over and say hello.

Dance's azure eyes clouded as she thought o he rmother naming her. "She named me dance because..." She tried to remember the exact words her mother had said. "She said she wanted me to dance forever, to never give up." her voice sounded like a cool breeze as she faintly remembered her mother, and how much she looked like her- the same flowing silver mane, the same dappled gray pelt, but different eyes. Her mothers eyes were a greenish teal, and Dances eyes were a dark azure color.
Iceire looked at Kayani's shivering body, and Dartanian trying to protect her. He obviosly fely affection for her. "Well, okay. I guess I will leave you two in peace." He said, politely dipping his head befor trotting up to Adrianna. "Hello, miss", he said, his long white tresses falling over his dark brown eyes as he bowed. "May I ask the dubbance your mother blessed you with?" He was usually the one to use fancy words. He didn't know why, but he just did. His sister fund it impressive how he could find such different words, and she struggled to find the right words to say to many horses. She also was pretty shy, but she was extremely foolish and dumb around Rev, for he was different, and she fet affetion for him, athough he obviously didn't feel the same for her.

Realizing that he wasn't really part of the conversation anymore, Revolution trotted over to the white mare who was speaking to the blood bay stallion. Wanting to know what they were talking about, he quickly made his introduction by dipping his head quickly; informally you could say. "G'day," he greeted them quickly, tilting his head this way and that to observe them.
The blood bay stallion was a handsome one, yes, but Revolution truly didn't care about that. Although he didn't feel threatened about having another stallion in the same land as him, he didn't really like too many around him. To tell the truth, Revolution didn't really like too many mares around him either, but out of being good-natured, he had to greet everyone.
At the sight of the new bay stallion, Kayani instantly shied away -- like she had done for all the past stallions who had come to speak to her and Dartanian. Where did they all keep coming from? Where they all in a league together, plotting to do something to her? Fear and terror caused Kayani's pale cerulean eyes to fill with coldness towards all stallions again.
"Who are you and what do you want?" she snapped at the stallion, surprised at the harshness entwined within her usually soft and melodic voice. Immediately, she knew that she had been too rash. "I-I-I'm sorry," she stammered out, regaining her softspoken way of speaking again as she watched the stallion, hoping that he wasn't angry at her for speaking like she had done.
It turned out that Revolution didn't quite care about it. "'Tis all right, miss," he snorted breezily, "you're safe and I won't hurt a pretty lass like you." His friendly brown gaze remained fixed on the white mare, but it shifted for a few moments to the blood bay stallion. Adressing both of them, he stated, "I'mma known to most as Revolution, but y'all can just call me Rev."
Startled by the bay stallion's casual temprament, Dartanian couldn't help but stare at Revolution. Usually, around this time, Dartanian would've thought that he would be chased out of this territory. He opened his mouth to ask why Revolution didn't immediately take action and fight for the terrain with him, but soon closed it for he didn't want to give the bay stallion any ideas.
"Hello, Revolution," Dartanian began, ignoring the fact that he could use the stallion's nickname. "You may adress me as Dartanian," he told the stallion, again saying his name. How many introductions did he have to do today? Mentally, he sighed with boredom, but Dartanian was polite enough to not voice his opinions out loud or with body language like most other equines did.
"M'kay, Dart," Revolution responded easily, oblivious to the fact that Dartanian had winced when Revolution had used a nickname that was uncalled for. "And what about you, lassie?" Revolution asked, turning his penetrating brown gaze on to the white mare. He noted the fact that she seemed rather uneasy. "Relax, I ain't gonna hurt you or do anythin' to you besides learnin' what to call ya," he assured her.
Kayani was now currently shaking with fear. Why were all these stallions here at once, all of them wanting to know her dubbance? "Why do you n-n-need to kn-n-now?" she whinnied, her voice at first starting confident but soon losing to timidness.
Revolution blinked, wondering why the mare was so shy. He caught her gaze and gave her a friendly nicker once his brown eyes met with her pale sapphire colored ones. "My goal ain't going to be to hurt ya, miss," he told her, attempting to assure her yet again. "Surely I can't do anythin' with knowin' your name, can I?" he asked, looking at her intently.
Although Kayani longed to gallop away, she saw no harm in telling her name to the stallion. "Kayani," she blurted out, then gazed at the ground. She felt as if all her limbs were about to break, even though she hadn't even been doing anything except speaking. It truly did take her effort to overcome her fear and to tell something as simple as her name to another equine.

Dance looked at Rev walking away and taking interest in the white mare. She sighed. By tommorrow, he could have just forgotton about her No, he was to nice to just forget about other equines.. She shook her head, and amusement danced in her light saphire colored eyes as she saw her brother, Icefire talking to Adrianna, obviously faling for her.
Adrianna was so beautiful and graceful, and Icefire loved everything about her, although he had only just met her. Love at first sight, maybe? He looked at her intently with dark brown eyes. Her firey chestnut pelt, her flowing mane and tail,, like flames dancing in the faint breeze, were all beautiful to Iefire, as some might just think if her as a pretty chestnut.
Dance trotted over to the two stallions and the mare. "Hello", Dance dipped her elegant head to Dartanian and Kayani, her long white- silver mane tumbling onto her neck lightly, almost covering her light azure eyes. She felt a pang of sympathy for the white mare, obviously unccomfortable around the new stalion, Rev. "I'm Dance. May I ask your names?" She asked.
