Kayani's glance drifted for a brief moment in the new mare's -- Adrianna, as she introduced herself -- direction. She sent out a small nicker. Even though it had been a stallion who had caused her the grief and pain that she had experienced, her trust for all other equines had also been shattered during that time period. Yes, Dartanian had won her trust, but he had done so in a manner that Kayani trusted. She wasn't sure if she should trust Adrianna or Revolution, or another other equines here -- should she even be trusting Dartanian? As all these thoughts crossed her mind, Kayani was unaware of the fact that she wasn't replying to Adrianna's inquiries. Dartanian, however, being a polite horse, responded for her.
"Lady Kayani has experienced some troubles in her past," he informed the mare, touching his muzzle briefly to Kayani's. "You may adress me as Dartanian, Miss Adrianna," he added, being careful to not forget to tell his name to the chestnut mare.
"Yeah, Dart here 'tis one of 'em polite ones," Revolution cut into the conversation, sending a friendly glance in Adrianna's direction, "and I'm one for believin' that you 'ready are knowin' my name." He, again, was oblivious and ignored the fact that Dartanian gave a slight wince and a stomp of the hoof on the ground at the mention of this new nickname that Revolution seemed to acquire for him. Mirage's chocolate gaze met with a few equines standing around-- three of which were stalllions. But two of them seemed to already be falling for another mare. The bay one looked handsome, but he didn't seem to be interested in mares. She looked around foe any other equines, then saw a white mare. "Hello", she whinnied, her voice melodic and friendly as she spoke.

Delilah gave a small whinny as another mare came into her view. "Good day to you," she responded shortly. Even though Delilah was outgoing and social, she disliked having to waste words on such small things known as greetings. "I promise I'll make this fast," she began, "you may call me Delilah." With that, she flicked her ears to tell the chestnut mare to respond with saying what her name was.

Adrianna nodded and grinned in Rev's direction, before turning back to Dartanian. She looked back just in time to see the wince and gazed at him curiously for a moment, before turning her attention to Kayani. "I won't ask any more of it," she said in what she hoped was a comforting tone.

Kayani blinked, staring at the ground, at loss for words to say to the mare. Dartanian, however, sent a grateful glance in Adrianna's direction for not pressing further questions. Many equines would probably, sooner or later, end up questioning Kayani, but that wouldn't start now, thankfully.
"Right, 'bout tha' hist'ry... Wha' happened?" Revolution asked, obviously not catching the fact that he was supposed to be sensitive and not ask Kayani anything else. He didn't even mean it in a hurtful way -- it was just a question he had and he wanted it answer. His gaze turned to Kayani, fixing it on her intently.
"Lady Kayani does not wish to admit us into her memories to learn of her past," Dartanian told Revolution. Dartanian blinked in surprise at the curt and harsh edge that his tone had. Even though he truly did like Revolution -- he was a pretty nice stallion -- Dartanian felt more protective over Kayani. He couldn't let another mare like her die like Alizay had, now could he?
"Okay, 'kay," Revolution snorted in a nonchalant tone, "don' be gettin' yourself in a rut, Dart." Most equines at this point would've made a grand exit from the scene, but Revolution simply remained there, his gaze fixed on Kayani as he looked at the white mare. Truly, what had her past been like? What had happened? Was it really and truly so terrible that she couldn't tell anyone else? Was that the reason why she kept on sending nervous glances to him and to Adrianna and even to Dart -- Dartanian -- the stallion that she currently almost trusted?

Mirage walked over to the group of horses, and being a social one, she looked from one horse to the other, a friendly smile playng upon her lips. "'Lo," she whinnied, wondering what these horses names were. "And what might'n all of your names be?" she asked, a bit of her southern accent dusting her voice and words. She looked at the bay stallion, then the blood-bay one, then the white one, then the chestnut one, and another stallion, a brilliant snow color.

Uneasiness crept through Kayani's soft blue eyes, clouding them again slightly with fear as yet an other equine moved up towards the group of horses and inquired about her name. The white mare took a few sidesteps, tossing her head up in the air with an air of elegance, despite the fact that she was scared about so many equines asking her dubbance in a single day, not to mention a single hour.
A gentle breeze passed by, caressing the brilliant splashes of color in the meadow known as flowers. Although it was a gentle gust of wind, it had a sense of a morbid feeling to Kayani. For a brief moment, clouds drifted by and a single one covered the rays of the sun. Frightened, Kayani took more anxious sidesteps. When she had finally calmed down, she wondered why she had been frightened. After all, it was normal for clouds to drift by and cover the golden rays of the sun for a few moments, correct? It was just Mother Nature; nothing to get worried about.

Dartanian looked at Kayani, watching her shy away, concern gleaming in his dark brown eyes as he watched her sidestep aweay quickly out of fear. "I'm sorry. Lady Kayani has not been able to easily rest or speak with others without remembering her past and being skittish," the blood-bay stallion informed the newcoming mare, a gleam of affection intertwined with worry in his eyes as he watched Kayani.
"I'll be back," Dartanian told the other equines shortly, trotting away to go comfort and soothe Kayani's nerves. Remembering the fact that he hadn't told the mare his name, he quickly called over his shoulder, "And miss, I'm known as Dartanian." With that, he came up beside Kayani, making a soft and what he hoped to be soothing noise.
The blood-bay stallion pressed his muzzle lightly to Kayani's, trying to soothe her. "It's all right, Lady Kayani, you're going to be all right. Nothing will hurt you," he told her. Hesitantly, he added, "I vow that nothing will hurt you as long as I live." He couldn't believe he had said those words; those had been the same words he had spoken to Alizay so long ago.

"They're off again," Revolution snorted as he watched Dartanian go off to comfort Kayani in her state of anxiousness and fear. "And you may be callin' me Revolution, but just call me Rev t'please ya," he added, informing the mare about his name.
