The gray male walked over to an ivory-pelted female. "'Lo, miss. My name would be Rade, and yours?" He talked smoothly, but wasn't trying to impress this female. She was just someone to talk to. He looked around through blue-green eyes and saw other females, and another one with passionate affection gleaming in her eyes as she looked at a black-pelted wolf.
Love. What was it, and how would you know if you were truly in love, and was there really love at first sight? Well, there must be, if that female is looking at the male that way. She had to have just met him, or he would probably have the same expression, He thought, looking to the pack of wolves now. His sea-colored gaze now drifting back to the female wolves. The ivry pelted one seemed to have an angry or...jealuos expression on her face every time she looked at the lovesick one. But why? The white wolf didn't seem to have any sort of feelings toward the male...They must be kin, and she must be jealous of her brother. Rade wan't the fastest one in thinking, and because of this, he sometimes took a while to answer questions if they were complicated.

Amiya looked up from her thoughts as a gray wolf approached her and informed her of his name. Her blue gaze observed the male wolf for a few moments before she opened her mouth ao answer. "Amiya," she responded shortly, not knowing what else to say. She sent a glance in her brother's direction. She met his gaze for a fleeting instant, seeing protectiveness burning in his dark brown eyes.
A mental sigh crossed Amiya's mind as she saw the flare of protectiveness in Caelan's eyes. Trust her brother to be like that, thinking that she couldn't take care of herself. It was fine, however, as long as Caelan didn't try to jump in and try to interrupt the conversation when he tried to see and hear what was going on.
Like now. A blur of black fur streaked up to Amiya. Caelan. "Caelan! I can take care of myself, thank you very much!" As she spoke, her voice was toned slightly with indignation and annoyance against her brother. She didn't need his help; those pup days of when he had protected her from specks of dust were long gone now.

Huritt's upper lip lifted slightly at Carmelita's words. 'She'd better be joking,' the alpha thought. "I guess I'm more average than most alphas are," he replied in a steady voice, before turning his attention to Diablo. "I am sorry for the loss of your pack and your rank." His voice held the tiniest hint of a threat, although his face had returned to emotionless. He didn't really like the challenge he felt radiating from Diablo. And Carmelita's remark left Huritt more on his toes than he had been.

Awentia trotted after Amiya, prancing happily. She stopped short just behind her and peered around the other female's body. Grinning, she moved to the ivory wolf's side and nodded to the new male. "'Ello," she said, "I'm Awentia. That grump over there's Huritt, and those guys are... Well, I don't know to tell you the truth, but I guess we'll learn eventually."
She nodded to the wolves and slipped back to sit with her brother. "What's got your tail in a knot, Huri?" she asked, using her pet name for the alpha. The wolf glanced at her, exasperation showing in his amber eyes. "Oh right," Awentia said, looking as if she had just realized something, "You don't like that name. Sorry. Big old alpha won't have a nickname." She winked at the other wolves then settled down. "The name's Awentia. And yours?" She grinned, looking slightly foolish, but well-meaning.

Heavy paws hit the earth as she sprang into a light lope, small, rounded gray ears pricked to the soft winds that caressed her metallic coat with an air of unease. It felt odd, truly odd, to see this many wolves all gathered in one place, all begging to get into the pack.
Martha was quite phased by this; unsure and mostly spiteful. She herself had been hoping to find a suitable place--beta female was her ultimate goal, a goal specified to keep her going for something she'd never reach. Oh, how the world went round.
The large she-wolf stopped short of her lope, tawny eyes narrowing skeptically at the scene not two yards in front of her. Of course, males and females swooning over each other. Just look at her, an age that isn't exactly her 'prime', too large a size to be formidable for most males, and a coat that was not unique in many ways. Yet she still found pride to keep searching for a pack.
Blinking, Martha turned slowly, and picking up a steady trot, began the other way.

Brilliant golden eyes watched, staring in focus ahead of him the scene that applauded his fears. He made no sound, no motion, and stood in the dull shadow of a dead bush, the cool earth stinging his torn and bloodied pads. The wind brought him scents of both male and female, many strong with the urn for making families and finding a mate. Lean, pointed dark ears twitched, making him flinch as the pounding of paws reverberated in a large echo that suggested the being was turning around.
Trystan took in a sharp breath, the nape of his dark chestnut-coat bristling and becoming stiff, his body tensing immensely to reveal tuned muscles that were merely good for short bursts of power. This young male did not have enough power to challenge one such as the alpha atop the group, yet found that his demonic nature fueled him to come by the thought in a flash of adrenaline.
Paranoia, that is what ruled his bloodied life.
The male turned his head swiftly, silently, as a larger, gray she-wolf trotted not far from him, coming his direction. He inhaled her scent, drinking in the power and wiseness she held; drinking in her weaknesses, powers, and willpower.
It was greater than his, Trystan was sure of that.
Running his tongue against the roof of his salivating mouth, he sprang fowards with a massive snarl, shoulders rolled back as his strong haunches propelled him several feet forwards, the utter sense of perpetual torture and fear glinting from his slitted golden eyes.

Carmelita put her tail tip on Huritt’s flank and brought it up until it was on his chin, “silly alpha” she murmured a glint of amusement passing through her glittering azure eyes but in the corner of her eye she could see Diablo glaring at Huritt angrily. His lip curled reveling sharp ivory teeth. She turned around in a swift, elegant movement and strutted forward so that she was facing a young female wolf, “Carmelita, dear” she replied to her, waving her head slightly to get her black curl out of her way for a brief moment. Her eyes flickered over to the handsome Diablo; a glimmer of confusion showed in her eyes as she watched him stiffen yet again then a relaxed look crossed the features of his face ever so slightly. Every time she said her name he did this. Strange…
The black female wolf straightened her posture and swept her penetrating blue eyes over every face, catching every detail when her ears pricked and whipped her head to the side to see a male wolf confronting the grey female wolf that was just beside Diablo until she began to leave. She glanced around, wondering if any of them were going to do something. Diablo shifted until he was standing full height, his eyes darkened and he made his way forward until he was towering over Trystan. He left out a growl, raking one large grey paw over the snow in a challenge. Carmelita would have been more pleased if he was doing this for her but whatever, there was always another.
She trotted forward until she was standing at Martha’s other side, “a brute he is, si?” she blinked not meaning to bring some Spanish into her short words, she had already learned that not many wolves here did know Spanish. But Diablo did have a Spanish name, peculiar...? Did he know her native tongue? She quickly pushed the thoughts aside for later “yes?” she translated, cocking her head toward Trystan. Diablo turned his amber eyes toward her and motioned it back toward the others, so he did want to protect her. Satisfaction brought a burst of energy into her lithe body and she turned and padded delicately back toward the others.

Rade dipped his head to the other female. "Nice names," he responded to both of them. He walked a bit closer to Amiya, so he could whisper something. "Why are you so angry at your brother? I see anger in your eyes every time you look at him and the other back female near him. And maybe...jealousy?" He had no problem speaking what he felt, and what he was thinking. He watched with a surprised look on his face as Amiya's brother came, with a protective look in his eyes.

He had not hit his mark, but instead clipped the large she-wolf's thick, furry neck. In coolness, the light brown male snapped his jaws together, saliva flying from his yellowed fangs. Claws dug into the snow as he spun around, gripping the ice with adeptly-sharpened claws, his golden eyes wild with fear.
Insanity ruled him; Paranoia holding the keys to his agonized mind.
The male glanced to the larger male who had growled before stamping his foot in a challenge against the snow. Trystan pulled his lips back in a wicked sneer, tail lashing out with malice. "Don't intrigue me, wolf," he snarled between clenched fangs, muzzle folded in his devilish grin, tinged with wickedness.

The flash of teeth triggered a barrier, causing her to swiftly dodge it, managing to only loose a few strands of her dark fur. Martha whipped around swiftly, her mind focused on the rogue male that had attempted to grab her neck. With a fierceness that had not even been suspected within the she-wolf, she curled the front of her lips back, exposing the small but heavily damage-inflicting front fangs, she raised her silvery nape up to an aggressive bristle.
"What's your deal, you bast--" she snarled, side-glancing the fuming chestnut male wolf. Suddenly, Martha froze, her gaze locked onto his own. Her breathing caught, and horror flashed across her face. His eyes, this wolf's eyes, they were not encased in anger, but instead drowned in... fear.
It was the most confusing and horrifying sight she had seen in a long while.

Amiya opened her mouth to respond to Rade's question, to confess her frustration and anger sometimes towards her brother, yet she couldn't say it all in front of Caelan. "Caelan, I can take care of myself!" she told her brother, indignation lining her eyes and her snowy-white features as she glared at her brother. Deep down, however, she was truly touched by his protective demeanor over her. Well, that was normal, wasn't it? He was kin and truly did care about her no matter what.
An icy wind brushed by, but Amiya was kept fairly warm by Caelan standing at her side. Sure, he could be cheeky and annoying and a dozen other things that got her frustrated, but he was still her brother through it all. She couldn't stay mad at him for long, yet she was still irritated at him; that was Amiya for you -- always holding a grudge if necessary in her eyes.

"What do you want with my sister?" Caelan snarled at the male wolf who had adressed his sister. Protectiveness over Amiya flashed through his eyes as he narrowed his dark brown eyes, glaring at the wolf. His fur bristled out of anger.

Rade wasn't the type of wolf to get extremely worked up over small things, so he replied calmly. "Look, I just saw her and the other wof and decided to talk. I'm not one f those wolves who would hurt your sister, I swear. I know you care about her," he replied, meeting Cealan's dark gaze with his own icy blue one.
Raya looked over at Caelen, and sighed. He probably thought she was annoying, but se couldn' give up on him that easily, now could she? She wasn't one of those wolves to just think that they loved a male, then when he wasn't falling all over her, just moved on. No, she would make friends with him, and then maybe they would become more than friends. She walked over to The new wol, and looked over at Amiya. There wasn't a need to apologize to her, for she would just get angrier, but decided to anyway. She walked over to her, and whispered in her ear. "I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to just hang over your brother like that, and I hope we can stil become friends."

With the amount of wolves coming now, Amiya shook her head. "Just forget it," she murmured softly, shaking her head. She turned her soft blue gaze at Caelan. "Listen, Caelan. You have a good time here; I'll be somewhere else since I just don't belong in places you do," she told her brother in a quiet tone, highly unlike her. "You'll be able to find me; use the calls," she added, her voice still soft as she spoke to Caelan.
With that, she turned and took a few leaps away from the amount of wolves. She knew that she was being rather unreasonable, yet she felt as if she would never fit in if she was with Caelan. Frustration tinted her emotions, yet only a placid look remained in her eyes -- something highly unusual for Amiya to encounter.
She couldn't help it; tears threatened and burned in her azure colored eyes as she ran away from the group of wolves. She knew that she wasn't leaving Caelan forever, yet she hadn't been seperated from her brother for the longest time [eeep, "For The Longest Time" is a song by Billy Joel x3]. Still, Amiya didn't want to live with her brother doing so well in the area of loev and not even knowing it. She was more of a sensitive and passionate type of wolf; why did he, out of all wolves, do so much better than her?
Amiya's ivory colored features were moving smoothly and easily, languidly even, but she was still moving her lithe frame quickly across the land, not bothering to see where she was looking. Splashing through puddles that had been formed from melted ice to make her scent impossible to track, the female wolf continued to run off, barely aware of Caelan's voice calling her name.
--x
With anger burning in his eyes as Caelan glared at the male wolf, he hardly noticed that Amiya was gone until another icy wind brushed by and he felt that the warmth of his sister was gone from his side. Turning away from Rade, he looked just in time to glimpse Amiya's ivory colored pelt disappearing into the forest glades. Confusion lit his dark brown colored gaze. What was wrong with her that made her just run away? Indeed, he had heard her soft, whispering words in his ear, yet he just couldn't process them.
"Amiya!" the obsidian pelted wolf called out, a desperate sense of finding his sister filling in his eyes. With that, he took off straight after his sister, quickly disappearing into the woods. His scent was untrackable as hers was, for he had dashed through the same icy puddles of water as she had. With his black pelt amongst the dark, leafy forest colors, he blended in quite well, making it nearly impossible for anyone to follow him.
Caelan didn't want anyone to follow him; he wanted to get to Amiya and get the answers out of her. Why was she acting like so? Was something wrong with him? "Amiya!" he cried out as he got sight of Amiya's pearl colored tail poised in the air lightly. Even when she's frustrated and angry, she manages to keep some sense of vanity. Typical Amiya. he thought to himself with some sense of grim amusement as he dashed after his sister.

This animal, it had taken control over him, but a long time ago. Warped by fear and paranoia, phobias of all kinds ruling over him, he lusted to bring pain and blood to others. It was this sort of sadistic persona that defined the chestnut-coated wolf, his life twisted by this second half of him, a persona never seen by any other before this time. And here, a perfect time, for him to make an entrance. What had started him off in the first place, anyway? Was it the way she walked? Was it the colour of her coat? Or was it the fear that she would beat him--kill him, if given the chance.
The male curled his lips back to expose a fearsomely large set of fangs, his coat bristling angrily as his tail expanded. His figure became larger, and as his muscles twitched from the adrenaline rocketing through his veins, Trystan held himself back for a brief moment.
No, no... Stop this.
But he wouldn't let himself back down, it was too late for that. Suddenly, he lunged, jaws agape, aiming for her shoulder blade, a truly tough part, though thick with nerves to increase pain. Trystan's tawny eyes flashed with immense fear as his fangs sank in, a stream of warm liquid staining his chin and trickling down his scarred throat.
--x
She couldn't find the proper stance, her body was frozen. The dark gray she-wolf staggered as his powerful jaws sank into her shoulder, making her breath catch as a yelp escaped her, soon after a snarl tearing out of her throat as she pivoted around. In this movement, Martha caught sight of an ebony and ivory pair running off, one calling the other's name as they both disappeared into the thick of the landscape.
What the Hell was going on?
The female canine blinked, however soon instincts kicked in and she focused on the insane male that was attacking her. Martha whipped back around, catching the tender flesh of his neck. Rapidly, she tore away her skull, taking a formidable chunk of fir and bloodied flesh with her.
Martha continued to wonder about the siblings that had darted away. Why had they done that? Why had the female gone first? Was she angry? Why the Hell couldn't she stop being so... aggressive. The large female let her hackles rise defensively as the male lunged at her again, aiming for her forepaws. She lifted them up, leaping vertically into the air as he slid underneath her.
This was just... insane.
