[Why don't we have a good ol' Tri-Wizard Tournament for the Next Generation? :3 A little {well, actually BIG} competition between the four houses -- one representative for each house? I CALL RAVENCLAW'S REPRESENTATIVE. <3 The rest are open for the claiming. Only one champion per person, though, if you have one. I will be playing the Ravenclaw champion {as stated before} and her brother who's in Gryffindor and I might have a few other charries. Why don't we make the setting... hmmmm... in Hogsmeade before a ball that's coming up? <3 The ball can be when they announce the champions of each house.]

Ravenclaw's Champion-- The slender figure of a female sat on a simple wooden bench. It was a rather odd position to place a bench -- on a very lonely, quiet place -- completely different from the large, bustling town which was just a few footsteps away. The female, however, rather enjoyed the simplicity and calmness that surrounded her. On her lap, the female held a simple brown bag. While the bag itself was quite ordinary and boring, it contained a dress that the female felt was absolutely perfect. She longed to take it out right now and give it another look over to make sure that it wasn't just some fantasy that her mind had thought up, but the snow was falling heavier and heavier, making everything around her moist and damp.
However much the snow fell, though, couldn't dampen the female's good spirits about her dress. It was a pale color, pale blue -- like the color of the summer sky through a thin layer of cloud. At the edges, a beautiful golden color peeked through as if it were the sun gently looking through the small puffs of white cloud. Sparkling diamonds adorned it the hem and the bodice, adding a final pretty yet not too frilly touch to it. With her store of Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts, the female had also managed to acquire a necklace that was a thin chain of silver with delicate leaves studded with gleaming sapphires. It had been pricy, but she felt as if it was all worth it.
Silky locks of raven black hair fell down to her waist. Currently, she had tied it up in a ponytail to keep it from whipping her face entirely when a harsh gust of wind pulled through these abandoned streets near Hogsmeade. The snowflakes continued falling from the sky, although sometimes they veered off course because of the numerous amounts of zephyrs that floated by.
Although it was quite cold outside, the female didn't appear to feel it at all. From the outside, she wore a thick midnight blue cloak -- after all, it was Hogsmeade trip so no need for school robes, right? -- but inside, she wore a pair of shorts and a blouse that seemed to fit her small, dainty frame perfectly.
Pale violet colored eyes ringed with eyeliner gazed around at the serene surroundings that encased her. With all the snow falling, it had given everything a rather shiny look and she admired it. She was one of those females that appreciated art -- she enjoyed photography herself. She usually could spend hours with a pencil, eraser, and a piece of paper. While some of the pictures she drew she made gifts to her friends, the majority of them went to decorate the wall next to the bottom bunk she slept in.
As she shifted to a more comfortable position, she raised an arm to move the bag off of her lap. As she did so, the many golden colored bracelets she had around her thin wrists jingled. She didn't wear too much jewelry -- just a few bits of something hear and there ever once in a while. Currently, she did have her bracelets as well as gold hoop earrings, but that was it.
Her wand was made up of ebony with the magical core of a single, sparkling strand of unicorn hair. It was ten inches long and it was her first and only wand -- she had always been cautious not to do anything that would cause it to snap.
The female was one that was slow to anger, for she was extremely patient, but she was also slow to forgive when finally tried to the limit of her patience and good-naturedness. While the female was vain, she made up for it in many ways. She was always calm, unless the situation called for her to act otherwise. She was level-headed and kind as well as gentle and spoke in a soft yet lilting voice. These many personality traits as well as more had helped her on the way to becoming a member of the Ravenclaw house.
Her name? Serena.

A Slytherin-- Mallory Jade Skay. Not your average girl, nor your average teenager. She was pretty, she was cunning and sly, and she was a Slytherin above all these things. Sure, most of her family had been in a many different houses -- either Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw of course -- but she was the only one of the descendants who had become part of the Slytherin house. She wasn't weird or vain or any of this silly little flaws that happy-go-lucky females had. She was just quiet and never spoke unless it was for something that it was absolutely necessary for her to talk -- such as having to answer a few questions in class. The female excelled well in Potions -- it was rather interesting in her mind. She could spend hours pouring over potion lore, memorizing the special herbs and liquids and all the rest needed to create potions that would do whatever she wanted it to do.
An extremely pale skin complexion covered her frame as she trudged through the snow falling onto Hogsmeade. She looked up at the sky, pushing her hood off of her head to expose platinum blond hair -- so blond that it was nearly white. Her bangs were slightly swept to the side, but they covered her left eye usually. Her hair currently cascaded past her shoulders and down her back, straight and untangled.
She had high cheekbones, making her have an exotic looking face. Her eyes were a piercing emerald green, giving you the impression as if they could penetrate deep into your thoughts. A single metal ring was the product of having a lip piercing. Black eyeliner as well as lipstick had been applied onto her face -- her normal, everyday make-up that she usually wore.
Blinking her eyes rapidly a few times to clear the snowflakes that had rested on her long lashes, she looked around at the stores surrounding the streets. All around her were groups of people, laughing and joking together. In her small hands, Mallory clutched a small dark blue bag. Inside it was a deep emerald green dress -- the perfect color to match her eyes. It was a bit too frilly in her opinion, with a big satin bow in the front, but she could easily make adjustments to that.
Although Mallory wasn't exactly social, she couldn't help but gaze with a longing feeling at the couples that walked throughout Hogsmeade -- people who had already worked up the guts to ask each other out to the dance coming up. Mallory wasn't one to feel that much pity for herself or for others, but she /did/ want to for once experience the thrill of having someone ask you to a dance coming up.

Gryffindor-- Avery Chang. Yeah, he was a prankster all right, always pulling pranks upon his friends as well as others that weren't in his house -- mostly Slytherins, of course, since the two were pretty much mortal enemies. Although his jokes could oftentimes land him in trouble, that was just the ordinary life of most Gryffindors who felt they had to hate Slytherin with such a burning passion.
Indeed, by his last name, you could possibly tell the fact that he was the son of the rather infamous Cho Chang. Although he was her son, Avery only shared one characteristic that his mother had -- the dark brown eyes. His hair, his build, and pretty much everything else was completely different from his mother. It seemed as if he took more after his father while his sister, Serena, took more after their mother.
Avery, you could consider, was a not a bad-looking male. Creamy brown locks of slighly wavy hair fell into his eyes. His mother had often told him to get his hair cut, but his father could pretty much care less. Over the summer, Avery had acquired a rather tan skin complexion from spending hours out in the way of the sunlight.
He had a muscular build that was currently hidden beneath a red sweater and a black pants. All of that was underneath a cloak that he wore -- identical to the one that Serena was currently wearing.
Even though Avery, being Avery, truly didn't care about the dance coming up, his mother had still insisted that he find something nic to wear in case -- in her word -- "a certain female caught his eye." Psssh, like that would ever happen. Still, he had bought navy blue dress robes -- hopefully they would suffice. After all, he did want to go to the dance to at least see who had gotten chosen to become the champions for each house. Perhaps the Gryffindor one would be him? Possibly.
Being in his seventh year, this was Avery's last year attending Hogwarts as a pupil. He would probably go on to doing something in the Charms business -- perhaps he would be something like an Auror one day. Who knew?
But Avery, being as carefree as he always was, didn't bother to think about getting a job at the current moment. He just wanted to be who he was now and worry about all that at another time when it was absolutely necessary for him to begin thinking of it.
Avery was currently standing in Honeydukes. On his face was an expression as if he was attempting to make a life or death decision. It turned out that this choice was which type of sweet to get. Licorice wands were one of his favorites, yes, but he wanted to try something different. If he didn't like it, he'd just trick someone into taking it.
The personality traits of Avery went as -- sometimes conceited, sometimes annoying and frustrating, sometimes able to be a gentleman, loyal most of the times, brave at times, and lastly, sometimes actually a good brother to Serena -- although that trait didn't show too often. Even though Serena wondered why Avery had gotten into Gryffindor, it was true that at times he could show flashes of being a true and noble Gryffindor.

A slim figure of a young teenager sat perched on a wooden bench, watching as couples cooed to one another, and some boys blushing as they asked girls to the dance. She sighed wistfully, wondering if anyone would ask her to the dance.
She was a relatively pretty girl, with long, wavy, blonde hair that had a golden tint on the sunlight. Currently, she was wearing a silk, pale blue blouse that framed her petite frame ever so tightly. On her long-ish legs she wore a skirt that came down a couple inches above her knees. On the outside she wore a pale blue cloak lined with wool on the inside that rather stood out from the rest of Hogsmead, while lots of people were wearing cloaks of a dark color. She liked to stand out though. Her skin complexion was of a rather pale cream color, and her pale ocean colored eyes were ringed with a thin line of black eyeliner, making her eyes seem somewhat lighter in color. A gentle breeze ruffled her hair, making tendrils of stylishly uneven bangs cover her eyes. She pushed then to the side a bit, and looked around at the rest of Hogsmeade, and all the couples walking around. She gave out another sigh and walked over to a shop that was selling girls clothing.
She was also relatively nice, but could have a short temper at times. She did have a soft spot for animals, though, and currently owned a cat, an owl, and a mouse.
The young, 15 year old girl's name was Loria Love Raden.

Loria's eyes sparkled at the sight of all the new dresses the shop now held. Since the dance was coming up, many girls were now buying dresses. She walked over to a rack of dresses; most of them looked like they would fit her petite figure nicely. She ran her slender fingers along the material, some silky, some covered in sequins.
Finally one caught her eye. It was all the way in the back of the shop, with no other dresses around it. Although there were many girls crowding the shop, no one seemed to notice it. She walked over and felt it. It was a silk material, tight at the waist, the skirt flowing freely. The straps were tied in neat, long bows, and the neck was just low enough for her. There were several small pearls and emeralds lining the neck, and it fit her frame perfectly. The color was a pale green color, and it complimented her eyes well. She took the dress to the lady who worked at the shop and held the dress out. The shop owner told her how much it was and she paid her coins, smiling as she held the dress in a bag.
She walked out of the shop, some stands catching her eye. She had a thing for random market stands in Hogsmeade, loving to see all the things people liked to sell. She saw a jewelry stand and decided to check it out. She looked among the necklaces and bracelets, and saw a beautiful necklace. It was silver, studded with leaves of pale green jade stone, and one large leaf in the center made of silver. She handed the stand owner her coins and found herself with just a small amount of money left, so she decided to go over to Honeydukes and buy some lemon drops.
Once there, she bumped into Avery, a fellow Gryffindor, and also Serena--her best friend's brother. "Hello," she said nonchalantly as she pointed to a paper bag of lemon drops for the the worker, who quickly picked up the bad and handed it over to her. She took the small bag carefully and dropped her last few coins on the counter. She walked out of the shop, her pale blue cloak streaming out behind her.

A light wind dusted Serena's neck, causing an icy chill to crawl down her spine. Despite it being cold outside, she really didn't succumb to the cold and begin shivering -- she just sat there as if she were perfectly fine in a pair of shorts and a blouse with just a cloak over it all to keep her mine. Actually, she was perfectly fine -- she didn't feel the cold at all. In fact, winter was probably her favorite season out of the rest of them.
It was chilly, obviously, and there seemed to be a hint of snow threatening to come from the white blanket of clouds overhead, but the female didn't mind. Snow was nice; it was a frozen form of water that fell delicately through the air, descending upon the ground and laying like a sheet on top of the earth.
Leaning back, the female teenager looked around her and at the scenery of Hogsmeade, all slightly brushed with a faint bit of frost. A bit of a smile came to her lips as she removed her drawing pad and her pencil and eraser from inside of her cloak. Flipping the pad open to a new sheet of paper, white and crisp, she brought her pencil tip down on the parchment. Within a few strokes with a hand that had drawn many times before and was thus relatively talented, she had captured the landscape of Hogsmeade. The numerous buildings were off to the side of the picture, smoke pouring out of the chutes at the top of them. Bare trees lined the area around the buildings in groups, their branches empty and without life. Despite the ominous look of the drawing, it still seemed to somehow dance with some unknown delight for some reason. Maybe it was the design of the rooftops, so intricately drawn in detail, or maybe it was the drawn shadow of flames flickering from inside one of the buildings, visable because of the window lined with icicles near the top.
With a steady hand, she added in to the picture until she was satisfied that every single detail neccessary was completed. Holding the picture out and leaning back, she examined it with a critical eye. Each time she found something that she wasn't all too fond of, she brought the pad back down and fixed whatever she saw unfitting.
Since this method was long and tedious, Serena usually spent many days editing her drawings until she felt that they were absolutely perfect to allow others to lay eyes on it. She would always feel rather self-conscious when someone was peering at her drawing; she could never be sure if they would like it or if they would want to rip it apart in to a million pieces.
With the tip of her tongue sticking out of her mouth from the amount of concentration she had on her drawing, Serena continued to scan the drawing with her pale violet colored eyes, making sure that each pencil line she had made was in its proper place and blended in with all the others.

"Hi," Avery muttered rather absent-mindedly. Geez. How was he ever supposed to pick? This truly was life or death -- which one? Avery continued to stand in the spot he was glued to, staring at the different assortment of candy that they had on display on the numerous shelves that lined the wall and filled the whole entire store. He cocked his head to the side, drumming his fingers rather impatiently on an oak wood table as he contemplated which treat would suit his tastes best.
"I love Honeydukes, but why does their have to be so many choices here?" he muttered to himself underneath his breath. Still, it was audible and he received a glare from the cashier standing behind the table he was currently drumming his fingers on lightly.
Giving a sigh of exassperation, Avery took a few steps to the right and was immediately greeted by another group of different sweet and pleasing candies. Tapping his foot as he read all of the names quickly, he stuck his hand in to his pocket and jingled the coins he had -- one Galleon, two Sickles, and ten Knuts. That would obviously suffice for a decent amount of candy, but only one type.
Sure, Avery had nothing to lose -- he could easily give away the candy to someone else if he didn't like it, but still. He was a perfectionist and wanted everything he bought to be suited to him exactly. This was a little odd of a thought and wish, but he just wanted to be able to enjoy a certain type of candy so that he could knock out one from his goal of being able to have tried all the different types of candy in Honeydukes. Loria looked around, and spotted Serena perched on a bench, carefully checking her drawing. She quickly walked over and sat next to her friend, careful not to disturb her with her creation. She took out her own drawing pad from a large pocket she had sewn into her cloak just for that use. She dug deeper into her pocket and picked up a pencil.
She tapped her head with her pencil as she thought of what to draw. She looked around at the scenery, the many people walking around, in and out of shops. She decided to sketch Honeydukes, and her talented drawing hand got to work.
Once it was done, she looked at it, her pale ocean colored eyes searching for any careless mistakes. Once she corrected the lopsided "H" and the couple of missing tiles on the roof, she found it was finished. She smiled as she compared it to the real Honeydukes, and saw an almost perfect resemblance. You like it?" she asked Serena, also eying her drawing of the whole town. Loria planned to stop by the Hippogryffs and sketch them, for those were her favorite of all creatures besides Unicorns, but she could never see them for long enough.

When Loria sat down next to her, Serena sensed her friend's prescense and was almost immediately able to detect the fact that it was her friend without taking a side glance to look and make sure. Serena usually wasn't wrong in her detections, but there had been times when she had -- and it usually got her stuck in to the most akward positions in which a few stammered out words were traded before one or the other made an excuse to leave.
Still, Serena knew that it was Loria from the way her friend produced her own pencil and drawing pad for her own use. Serena still wasn't sure that she was finished with capturing the scenery of the numerous buildings of Hogsmeade contrasted with the barren land surrounding it, but she put her drawing down for a few moments to give her friend a few pointers if necessary.
Although Serena had a critical eye for her own work, she didn't examine the pictures of others as harshly as she did her own. Peering at Loria's picture, she paused often to glance up at Honeydukes to see the resemblance. She gave a few nods here and there to show her approval for certain things that her friend did in her drawing.
"It's a good drawing," Serena said easily, for she was one to give praise easily to others. It was a fairly good personality trait since it made others feel warm and fuzzy inside because of her compliments, but it also meant that she didn't give herself any praise and that she oftentimes found it hard to find a way to accept other people's good comments about her drawing. It was so much easier when they gave her constructive criticsm; in that situation, she could either give an arguement back or she could contemplate over that certain attempted correction and add or take away from her artwork, depending on whatever the person said.
"You just might want to add a little shading here--" Serena paused in her words to point towards the edge of the picture, "--to show that there's some light coming through the window; I think that would make it look just a little more realistic." Serena gave a nod as she finished her words. While she didn't give pointers and tips to others often and Loria was oftentimes the only person to receive it, being her friend and all, her advice was usually helpful.
Since Serena herself was a rather sensitive person, she normally added even more kind words after she said something to change with the drawing. "But it's nice," she murmured quietly, taking a full-shot glance of Loria's picture before adding a few more lines to her own artwork.
Even though millions of thoughts were currently flitting about through Serena's mind, she still wasn't exactly quite sure what else to say to bring the conversation along. When she was with friends, she was usually quite social and could bring a conversation along, but there really wasn't a lot to say. Most of the words on people's tongues currently were about the dance coming up -- something that Serena didn't exactly like to discuss because of the fact that she felt hopeless and believed that no one would ask her. Still, it didn't matter; she could just hang out with friends. Unless they were all off with some boy, something that she feared.
