[Anyway, I'd prefer it if we kept an equal amount of buyers && creatures. And lemme say something... NO PERFECTS, NO TOTALLY CRUEL OWNERS, NO DESPIES, and yes... you're all probably going to hate me for this, but I don't really see how romance can be incorporated into this roleplay, so yeah...
For starters, I'mma going to play three characters; a buyer, a phoenix, and a pegasus/unicorn crossbreed. I'd much prefer it if everyone played a different type of species {only if you're going to be a creature, however. buyers can obviously be the same species x3}]

Ominous clouds filled the sky, shrouding everything in a gray and dull appearance. Suddenly, though, the clouds drifted apart and golden sunlight streamed through the opening. As the day began, the clouds almost ceased to exist and remained as just a few puffy bits of white floating about overhead. The sun, just rising, caused different colors to scatter and hit the sky, causing multi-colored hues to enter the azureness.
Sunshine, not timid at all, streamed through into a cage made out of pure silver with intricate designs carved into the shining metal. The cage was nearly as fine as the extremely exotic creature that it contained inside. Perched upon a branch within the cage was a fiery bird with plummage made out of beautiful and bright red, gold, and orange feathers. Lining the whole entire bird was the glow of actual fire. Her current form was not her actual one, however. It was just one that for anyone who wished to purchase her wouldn't be burned by her true all-fire form.
Amber eyes that seemed to dance with fire darted around, examining her surroundings. After a few moments, the hustle and bustle of the market of the market began to come alive once again. Voices cried out over the crowd, yelling about what fine creatures they had. The air soon became heavy with the scent of many spices that had been used to seasoned delicious foods. If you weren't one of the creatures in the cage, you would be having quite a jolly time here -- the market wasn't only for mythical creatures. There were different preformers and dancers here, putting on a show for the crowd and holding out their cap or the hem of their skirt to let the coins from watchers fall into them.
Underneath the fine silver cage that the fiery bird was caged within was held a sign. It could easily be read as stating the breed and the price of her. She was a phoenix, an extremely rare type of bird. There was no specific price stated, just asking for any buyers to come and please the seller of the phoenix. However, what her sellers didn't know was her name. They hadn't really shown affection for her, although they had certainly never treated her badly. The phoenix went by the name of Sasha.
Yeah, well, it was just another day at the market, wasn't it? Just a good ol' day.
[Bleghhh. Bad intro. Sorry, I just typed it up from scratch and on the top of my head.]

A slim-figured young, thirteen year old girl walked into the market, brushing dark brown curls that came to the bottom of her back away from her pure blue eyes, the source of her innocence. She looked around, and saw many strange and beautiful creatures. She picked up her pace, her head buzzing with excitement at finally getting a creature of her own. She reached her hand into her violet silk purse, just to make sure all her coins were still there
She picked up the skirts to her elegant dress, a beautiful pale blue color and of the finest silk, her thin silver bangals jingling on her wrists. She had to brush her hair away from her relatively high-cheekboned, cream colored face once again, and this time tucking it behind her ears, so she could see better. The name of this beautiful young girl? Katalina.

A glowing white pegasus looked around at all the buyers with luminous silver eyes, with flecks of pale violet. She stamped her shining hoof on the floor of her fine silver cage, the bars engraved with many images of fairies and other beautiful things. She looked over at a phoenix, then back to the buyers, hoping that someone kind would come and buy the two year old pegasus.
Her wings were a pale silver color, and when the sun hit her white pelt, it made it sparkle like fresh-fallen snow. She was a spirited mare, and loved to go on adventures. Her ankles glittered with the silver sapphire and diamond studded rings around them. She tossed her head lightly, her long flowing mane coming up, and then kissing her neck as it came back down. The name that the market owners had given her was Wintersong.

Hot headed. Daring. Yeah, those two words described her perfectly. She wasn't your average little timid and shy creature; she would go out there and do whatever she wanted to do. Many times before she had attempted to escape from her small metal cage, but she had never truly succeeded. It was true that she had managed to embed a couple of dents within the metal, but that had just caused her owner to trade in the cage for a thicker and stronger steel one. Now the creature inside was eyeing the bars for a weak spot that she could penetrate.
Indeed, she didn't appear to be the type that would look for main routes of escape by force instead of having someone pay for their freedom. No, she was determined to find a way out even if it nearly killed her. Delicate silver colored hooves stood on the cold metal floor of the cage. The enclosure she was stuck in had allowed her just enough space to move three paces forward and five paces to the side. Her slender legs ached from having to stand for so long; there was barely room to lay down for a few minutes to rest her aching legs. It was true that those of the equine family hardly ever layed down, but she didn't exactly appreciate having to stand on her legs for hours on end.
A vine of ivy snaked around her neck, slipping underneath her pure and glossy ivory white mane. Woven into her mane was yet another vine of ivy. A third ivy vine had been slid around her right hind leg, adding the final touch to the earthy look that surrounded her. From underneath her forelock, stunning pale amethyst colored eyes could be seen. If you looked closely, you could see a mischevous gleam dancing through her unusually colored eyes.
Snowy white feathers almost covered the floor of the cage. The feathers had originated from the creature's large and silky wings. From her forehead, a single golden horn protruded. From a distance, the horn seemed to dance and waver with many different colors, but once you got up close, you could easily see that it was a sparkling and solid gold.
Even though she was plotting on how to escape, a look of placidness was written across her features, able to deceive any onlooker. Looking up at the sky, she gave a mental sigh of longing. There had been many times, before she had been captured, when she would've been soaring in the midst of those skies. How she had used to love doing so -- the wind whipping her flaxen colored mane with the stars glittering about her like faraway jewels.
She had a lithe and slender frame, making her eligible to easily fight or kick or do whatever she needed to escape this place. Looking around, she surveyed her surroundings and the other creatures with interest. Although she being a crossbred between a unicorn and a pegasus was quite rare and exotic, there were still other unique types of animals.
The white creature of the equine family went by the name of Kerah. It was quite the original name as well as reasonably pretty sounding.

The faint pitter-patter of paws sounded in an old cage, the steel bars rusting. The she-cat used to be in a beautiful silver cage, the thin bars shaped in swirls, tangled together, but once she tried to escape a few times, they put her in this cage, saving the other cage for a bird.
She looked around, mischief glinting in her pale sapphire-colored eyes, looing for any buyers that fit her personality - mischevious and fun. She loved exploring new things, and usually got into trouble.
She wasn't an ordinary cat, mixed with an ordinary cat and a lion. Her tail was long, and had a fluffy tuft of fur at the end. She also had special talents, she could controll fire. She stared through the cage, wishing she could just melt the hideous metal bars that enclosed her, but there was no fire in sight.
Her fur was sparkling white, her muzzle, toes, and ear tips lined with silver. Her eyes were a pale sapphire color, and always sparkled with mischief or some kind of scheme. Around her neck, a thin silver chain hung, and hanging from that was a small sun made out of diamond. Her body was slender and lithe, with graceful long legs.
The beautiful she-cat's name? Serena.

The buyers pointed at the steal, silver cage eyes filled with laughter and a look of malicious delight. The small creature inside swung her beautifully black shaped head around to look at them all from the shadows of her cage. “S-stop it!” the voice cried, filled with misery and helplessness. “Mrrow!” she screamed as one of the buyer’s eyes burned from her outburst causing him to kick her cage. Life. A delicate state that is just wonderful. So-so peaceful.
A small black kitten crouched in her silver tinted cage; her icy-blue eyes were wide from a look of fright and the one white star on her chest glowing faintly. She had to stay calm for if she didn’t… a shudder passed through her body from the thought. Her blood pounded in her ears until a spark of violet slipped into her eyes, her pelt tingled with fury, anger, and misery. Two little wings flashed out from her body, sparkling with a beautiful purple color. “No!” she yowled but it was too late, she had transformed and they would auction her off. She had held herself in a kitten state but she couldn’t hold her innocent figure anymore. She is a kitten but is partly demon too.
The buyers gasped, “she’s a transfiguration cat!” yelled one and quickly began to count his coins. Her muscles stiffened with horror, “help please!” she cried out to any creature in view. Suddenly the demon part of her personality took control and she spat venom toward the buyers, her eyes narrowed with hostility. “Lay one hand on me and I’ll flay you! Flay you!” she yowled, her voice choking the market around her with her anger. Her regular emotions returned and with a weak gasp she cowered in the corner.
Her name was known to most from her rarity, Elincia.

Outgoing. Social. Flirtatious. Yeah, the words described her quite well. Quite well indeed. She had an interesting personality, a mixture of being kind, gentle, passionate, friendly, impatient, and many other personality traits that made her who she was. She wasn't one to believe in being 'pefect', since she believed that no one could be perfect -- indeed that was a true statement in her eyes. Being outgoing and social just came naturally to her -- it was quite easy to form friendships with other people. Being flirtatious came from having her good looks. Also, in a market such as this, having a tinge of beauty made it ever so slightly easier to bribe the men into lowering the price for her. It wasn't a nice thing to do, no, but she felt that the creatures here shouldn't be tortured and sold off for a few coins that weren't worthy of them. Long and silky strands of hair cascaded past her shoulders and well down her back in very faint ringlets. When the sun struck her hair, it gleamed quite nicely. A diamond hair pin set off her hair rather nicely, adding an additional ornamental touch to her lustrous locks of hair. She had a pale skin complexion, her skin smooth from the care that she had given it. Her face had high cheekbones, giving her a rather exotic look. Large pale violet eyes ringed with a light touch of make-up sported long lashes around them. Currently, she was wearing a pale orange dress that seemed to have a fiery glow surrounding it when the sun's rays hit it. A thin silver chain was hung around her neck, a single sapphire pendant embedded within a silver leaf on it. The female was advancing close to her sixteenth birthday and she was quite eager to get to it. It was during the long and humid summer that usually hung around the land in a heavy drape. Her name was a rather odd one, but it was rather interesting. She had been named Serendipity, but she preferred to shorten her name into the name "Sere" so that those didn't have to waste their time trying to get their tongue to sound out her full name.

[There is none. Where do you see any? Sere just uses her looks to get the owners to lower their prices so that she doesn't have to pay as much to free them.]

Cold, shivering, weak, and vulnerable, laid the obsidian feline. Massive skull laid upon his enormous, powerful paws, the deeply-breathing creature doing nothing but laying there, motionless. Opaqueness surrounded him, nothing but a cloak of agony and grief as the pressure of outcasting enveloped him as well as his comrades, all in the two cages beside him; snarling and roaring their own rage. He faced back, he had no strength left, nothing to go for.
"'Ere! 'Ere!" shouted the well-rounded, scruffy merchandiser to the bustling ocean of careless people. His cold brown eyes muddled around, his attempts so far greatly futile in finding owners for the creatures he sold. "A 'ole Clan of beaut's for yeh!"
A handsome man turned, his dark hair falling into place above his forehead as his sapphire eyes skirted over the creatures. There he sought quite a lot of the creatures, all individual and unique in their own beautiful designs. None, however caught his eye in peculiarity. Turning, the young male walked easily up to the cage of a winged-unicorn who's glowing ivory coat was doused in lithe vines of an earthy-texture. He glanced her over with pitied and affectionate eyes.
As his illuminating gaze scanned her over, he let his sight fall upon her own eyes, of which held an uttermost beauty that he could find to no other. Within this, a crooked smirk crossed his sharply-defined face, brows raising in amusement. "You're a peculiar, sassy beauty, aren't you?" he said to her. Smiling, Gavin turned and slipped his hands into the pockets of his faded-gray jeans, leather coat rubbing against the smooth skin of his neck.
With a light step he walked away from her, his keen eye catching the stout man waving his hands frantically before a trio of cages, each beholding snarling, raging beasts. Coming nearer to them, he marveled at each of their coats, all dappled with the furs of feline species unknown to him. However as he did this, one in particular caught his momentary attention.
She was female from her sleek, lean legs; ivory coat glinting with a sapphire tint to it. The brown-haired man took a step nearer to the cage, and at once the two males surrounding her folded back their lips to reveal an impressive and frightful set of fangs. Eyes widened at this, Gavin craned his neck back in surprise. He took yet another step closer, and saw with mighty surprise that she indeed had three stunning emerald eyes. The other two, upon his miraculous discovery of the strange creatures, saw that each had an odd mutation to it. One had an extra claw hanging from the side of its shoulder blade, another a small talon-like claw replacing the left foreleg. Brow arched in a quizzical manner, the young man moved to the center cage, and with astonishment, saw nothing there. But as he moved towards the cage to next to the center one, watched as four of the strange felines gathered at the bars, eyes worried and enraged as their massive jaws were wide with horrible screams and moans.
With this Gavin pursed his lips, blinking in surprise. Shifting his bright eyes towards the cage he had just visited, he saw that the enormous felines had also turned their attentions to the center. Leaning his head closer, he licked his lips, unsure of what creature would be in this jail.
Tired, weak, cold, the obsidian beast turned his head, massive lower fangs protruding from his lower mandible. He blinked, his burning violet gaze flickering to the human at the front of his steel cube. Abruptly his sleek nape began to bristle, long, thick segments of opaque fur rising and moving in a wave-like motion, creating an eerie sound that rattled the bars of the cage ever so gently. The immensely large feline-like creature stood, heaving himself up with his head low and defensive.
The force of this gave the others alike him come to their own bars, pressing their flared nostrils against the cool metal. Eyes bright and curious, they edged their leader on to intimidate the buyer. With growls and snarls their whiskers twitched, different-hued eyes swirling in anxious anticipation.
Gavin stared the obsidian feline in the eyes, taking in the pain that the single felt with welcoming eyes. He was more than curious, for unlike most of the other creatures here, he was not beautiful nor attractive in anyway--more than other possible explanations extremely frightening, like a nightmare-ish brute that would slip into a tent and slaughter the beholder. Yet still Gavin did not turn away.
"Nasty little b@st@rd, ain't yeh?"
Gavin flinched, jumping at the hoarse voice of the merchandiser. Closing his eyes in agitation, he gritted his teeth, jaw muscles flinching. "Yes."
"Interested? I'll warn yeh, he's quite th' handful. Might' a man 'e takes t' 'old. Not fer the weak-hearted." The round man patted Gavin on the shoulder as he laughed, suddenly turning his attention to the feline and scowling. "Name yer price."

Kerah's ears perked up as a flabby faced creature, like all the ones surrounding her, approached her. She was about to send out a soft nicker to the buyer, but kept it in when he walked away. Although she felt despair that freedom had come so close to her grasp and now it was gone, she didn't let it go to her head and lower down her moral. For a brief moment, she had caught his gaze and had felt as if the cage were disappearing around her and she was finally free. But alas, that had all been an illusion, a dream if you will, that would not come true for a while.
One single onyx colored hoof pawed at the ground of her cage, tossing about the feathers that had dropped onto the ground. Turning her elegant head for a moment, she relieved herself of an itch that had issued itself on the edge of her ivory colored wing. Returning to her position of surveying her surroundings, Kerah impatiently stomped another dainty hoof on the ground.
Her stupid seller stood in front of the stupid cage which had been placed in this stupid market which took place in the stupid world. Yeah, that sounded about right. The creature of the equine family tossed her head, letting a shrill whinny escape her velvety muzzle as she looked around still. She hadn't let a desperate look cover her features just yet for she still clung to hope, but she was beginning to doubt the fact that today she would be free.
