The young man raised a brow, soon realizing that it was futile to bribe the stubborn seller into any sort of price below what seemed to be five-hundred coins. Tearing his bright gaze from the malicious violet eyes of the massive feline to the hasty, small ebony beady eyes of the stout man breathing foul alcoholic breath into his nostrils. Puckering his lower lip in an attempt to remain as polite as he could while still managing to hold in the disgust of the man. "Five hundred?" he asked.
Large belly rose up and down in a throaty, drunken laughter as the man chortled his amused delight. "Oh-ho! This nasty b@st@rd ain't worth near tha' much. But, 'cause yeh look like such a reasonabl'--" the buyer hiccuped--"young'n, I reckon yeh'd like t' pay 'round the area of... two thousand?"
Eyes widening, he blinked. Gavin had truly not expected such a price, however since the man was at such a state, soon found an easy loop-hole in the situation. He turned around from the man's wriggling eyebrows and jumped back with abrupt surprise as the glinting fangs of the feline protruded from the metallic bars of his box. Swallowing, he closed his eyes and released a sigh, gritting his teeth as the hot breath of the creature caressed the fine features of his handsomely-defined face. "You've got to stop scaring me," he growled to the obsidian-coated creature seething with rage.
"Fine, two thousand coins."
Gavin slapped the man's rough hands with a small bag, not caring if it only held one thousand--he'd be leaving the area within two nights, and it mattered to him none. Watching briefly as the man gurgled with a jubilant and toothy grin, he rolled his eyes, unlocking the cage and grabbing the harness from the seller's plump fingers.
The brute's sharp, knife-like ridge along his back began to wave again, moving as individual plates of steel along his thick spine. Muscles contracted, brows knitting together as a slow hiss emitted from his un-parted jaws. Lower mandible heavily out of proportion against his upper jaw, the panther-like beast flexed his claws readily as the lock's gears unhinged and clicked apart.
He felt the eyes of his clan upon him, his scarred face turning to each one as unhealthy pride regained inside of him. If he was to be free, so should his family. But alas, as the beast snarled defensively to the human hands that harnessed the steel around his jaws and skull, knew that he could do nothing.

Katalins nodded to Serendipity - Sere and introduced herself. "I'd be Katalina", she replied. She looked around the market, searching for the right creature. "I've been searching for the creature that's just right - ", Katalina cut off, and almost gasped. In a fine silver cage she was a dazzling white Pegasus, her soft feathery wings a pale silver color. As her eyes caught the magical equine's exotic silver ones, she saw an adventurous, kind mare, and her face was bright with intelligence.

"Well, I'll leave you to it then," Sere responded in a crisp and businesslike manner. "I believe that my equine here and this cat will be wanting to go back to a new roof soon," she added in order to explain why she might depart to Katalina in case the girl took any offense in her leaving.

A few crystalline tears fell from Sasha's eyes as she gave a small chirp in a soft manner. Phoenix tears were known to heal , but from the amount of tears that Sasha had shed, she had given enough to fill enough flasks so that her seller grew rich from simply just selling her tears.
Why did she have to be here? Why couldn't she be alone in the wilderness, perhaps chittering and chatting with other birds... Why had she ben put here? It wasn't as if she led a bad life, although it certainly wasn't a life that other creatures would envy.

"Oh, okay then", Katalina was hoping that she could spend more time with Sere, for she was an only child, and when her parents died, she didn't have many friends. She walked on, coming to the equine and her owner.
"How much for this beauty?" She asked, her gaze fixed on the Pegasus, her hand in her purse, which held 200 coins. She glanced at the buyer, tossing her hair as Sere had done to lure the men to lower the prices of their creatures.
The man, short and fat, gave Katalina a good look. To most buyers, he would make the price 200 coins, but the way the sun hit the young girl's hair, the way it fell lightly onto her back, he just had to lower it. "One hundred-fifty coins, m'lady", he said, getting out the soft silk bridle, studded with silver and tassels.
Katalina pulled out her purse, gave the man her coins, and took the bridle from him. She put the fine bridle on the equine's delicate head, and lead it out of the cage. As she walked out of the market, she saw Sere walking outside the market also. She walked over. "So, where do you live?" She asked, not seeing nay houses in sight.

Stepping down, the massive feline beast's strong chest rumbled with a growl, muscles rippling thickly beneath his opaque-hued coat. Beads of crimson-tinted sweat collected upon the hairs around his spine, and when he stepped into the light, gave an eerie glint to him. Claws flexing against the ramp, he moved lithefully, his stride tinted with weakness that he wished he could not have obtained--it gave him a weak stature.
Violet-hued eyes flickered towards his new owner, and indeed he did not like him; loathing was easy for this feline-like brute. Two lower canines shone in the dull light that slithered in from the entrance, drawing in attention to his powerful lower jaw. Indeed it was large, and as he recognized odd glances from passing-by humans and their pets he narrowed his eyes, accepting with defiance their fearful glances and discriminating looks.
Leading the creature was not hard, for he followed with ease; slow, peaceful, but tinted. Gavin side-glanced him with his bright sapphire eyes, arching a brow as the massive feline walked beside him. "Aren't you going to tell me your name?"
The panther's browthers knitted together. "Raiden," he replied, his lower jaw moving slightly as he spoke.
Spoke.
Gavin's tongue caught in itself, throat clenching as his eyes widened in eminent fear and surprise. He can talk? he thought, brow trembling with disbelief. Surly that the mere appearance of the opaque feline would disembody some--it did to him--but to speak a language? A human language? It was insanity.
"Oh." Gavin could not find any other words to say. Breathing in the air that seemed to suddenly suffocate him, the man attempted wildly to draw his attention away from his new comrade in crime. I need to distract myself--anything. This is just... not cool.
Finally his burning eyes found the profile of a female, whom was not much younger than himself, and in this wild anxiousness to draw attention away from himself, locked his eyes upon her. He noticed that she held the cage of a small kitten, and held the bridle of a pegasus--or, unicorn, he could not see straight.

As Sere turned away her leg bumped on the handle of Elincia's cage. It popped open and the adorable black, demon kitten slid out. Most would fall to the ground but instead she fluttered her wings and ended up twirling near her owner's head. "Mrrow!" she meowed with delight and gave Sere a gentle nuzzle on the cheek then twirled around Katilina's head. Her glittering eyes danced with happiness, she was free. Suddenly she caught sight of Kerah, she cocked her head to the side and flew over.
"Hi!" she chirped as she gazed into the horse creature's eyes. A purr escaped her chest and in that instant some sparkling glitter floated off of her wings. Enlicia purred louder and the glitter began to change to silver. In that moment she soared around Kerah, the substance falling onto her friend until Kerah was a glowing silver color.
"What yer name?" she asked, being a kitten and not being close to her mother very long her vocabulary was small. She landed on Sere's head and waited for the answer to her question. Enlicia pondered, now that she was free what was she to do? Thoughts flickered across her mind like black minnows.

Kerah snorted as the kitten leaped up into the air, allowing silver sparkles to follow her and leave a trail. She twitched her ears slightly as she heard the kitten speak, not knowing that she could understand another completely different creature's language. "Kerah," she responded easily. Looking up at the kitten seated on top of Sere's head, she asked, "And what might you be named?"

Sere was rather surprised at the light weight of the kitten she had just been given by Katalina. "Didn't they feed you?" she murmured softly before her gaze was met by someone in the large crowd. For a brief moment, Sere's gaze drifted to what creature the person was leading along. Most would have been horrified, but Sere was resigned to being easy-going and not taking things too seriously all the time. After all, wasn't it good for someone to free even the most akward of creatures by buying them? She sent a smile in the male's direction, her smile blithe and good-natured.

Elincia leapt off Sere's head and flew back to Kerah, "Elincia" she replied with a graceful twirl and a little mew of delight. Suddenly she spotted a young male human staring at Sere, her eyes narrowed as she tried to distinguish his emotions. He felt rather flustered, she stretched out her small wings and soared over to him. Forgetting to stay with Sere and Kerah, the wind whipped at her face mercilessly as she came closer.
"Mew?" she meowed and swirled around his head several times until she landed on his shoulder. "Mrrow!" she chirped, her voilet colored eyes glittering with amusement.

The massive opaque brute took another lithe step forwards before halting, a fluttering object catching his immensely adept sight. Casting his illuminating violet gaze towards the small kitten that placed its light body weight upon the shoulders of his new owner. Instinctively he tightened his jaws, large canines sticking out from either side of his lower jaw beginning to appear smoothed, though still with a lethal point to them. As the feline watched the kitten with spiteful eyes, he knitted his brows together, powerful muscles shifting as they created a large ripple from beneath his obsidian skin. Shards of what seemed to be stiffened fur rose up and moved in waves, creating an ocean of undulating onyx fur that stood out in sharp shards, bristling with irritation and anger. Raiden was not sure how much longer he could take their world; so strange and unprotected.
Immediately he broke his gaze from the beautiful girl as she smiled, disheveled that he had appeared so coquettish. Swallowing, the tall individual skirted his liquid-like sapphire eyes to the flying kitten, awed by her elegant and beautiful movements as she dolphined herself through the air, twirling and mewling cutely.
He could not help but smile a crooked smirk, pulling back his thin lips and loosening his posture as the focus upon his newly-found creature withdrew from him. Gavin raised his free hand up to the kitten's nose in a friendly manner, a gesture in which she could sniff at.
Although abruptly his focus barreled through back to him, and his jaw flexed uneasily as his creature, Raiden, emitted strong forces of annoyance through to him. He was utterly amazed at how well this giant feline communicated, and how cold it seemed. "You are broken," he whispered to himself as he thought about the creature walking beside him.
"And you are not?" he replied placidly, his deep voice chilling the human with a nip of fear.
Gavin had almost forgotten about the other creature upon his shoulder, and when he tore his gaze from Raiden's entrancing violet-hued ones, shifted them helplessly to the kitten's. "Do you belong to that girl?" he asked the small creature, his voice attempting to become warm and curious, however was brought down by the panther's fueling, pushing unwanted adrenaline-fear through his tight veins.

Sere watched as her kitten -- whom she still did not quite comprehend the name of yet -- fluttered around until she neared the young male who had looked around akwardly. Her usually placid looking eyes now gave way to a flicker of amusement dancing through them as she watched the kitten move around the male.
Kerah watched with interest the same scene that Sere was watching, although she was still trying to devise a way in which she could tell Sere her name. What was she supposed to say? Draw it in the air with her horn? Scratch it out of the ground? Ideas flitted through her head, but she wasn't sure which one would capture Sere's attention the most.

Frustration laced through Sasha's mind. While many other creatures around and near her were becoming free, was she doomed and sentenced to spending the rest of her life in this gloomy old cage? Sure, it was a pretty cage with bars made out of silver carved with intricate designs, but that did nothing to improve her situation at all. Why didn't any human take interest in her and purchase her?
A rather loud chirp issued from her beak as she looked sadly from one human to another. Her long and fiery colored tail -- tinged with a slight bit of fire around the edges -- was neatly curled and swirled [oops, it rhymes xD] around the twig she was currently perched on. Sasha kept on trying different positions in order to attempt to capture a human's attention.

Elincia fixed her large, innocent voilet colored eyes on Gavin and gave a meow in reply with a small dip of her head in a posture that showed that Sere was her owner. She purred and rubbed her head against the male's hand until she bounced off his shoulder in a graceful, swift movement then fluttered in front of him. She meowed happily then saw Raiden, her eyes grew round with fright but soon turned to bravery and amusement. "What are you s'pose to be?" she hissed with a flick of her black tail. The human species couldn't understand her own language and only heard "meows" but other creatures could from the short conversation she had with Kerah.
With a dainty sniff she soared higher into the sky, just out of the the creatures reach. Suddenly the glitter came off her wings in her play, shedding the people below with multi-colored sparkles. She purred softly, and closed her eyes blissfully as the sun hit her pelt

Giving a small chuckle, Gavin pulled back his lips to expose off-white teeth, a gleaming ivory without being 'supermodel'-like. The kitten's velvety wings brushed blissfully against his face, and he closed his eyes briefly as she did so. But upon re-opening them, saw that she hovered just above Raiden's strong face. At once his eyes grew cold and nervous, neck muscles tightening oddly.
"A beast," he growled back, copying her language and using to his own extent of highly-advanced vocabulary. The massive obsidian panther then calmed himself down, not allowing himself to become phased by the scenery and emotions that were being filtered through to him. All in a flicker of dark light, his eyes changed, their hue brightening as they revealed small, tear-drop-like markings within the iris of his eyes. "What about you?" he asked coldly.

Katalina walked in the direction of Sere, a male, and a-- panther? Her light azure colored eyes softened as she loooked at creature, and the male. She pulled gently on her equine's silken reins, and the mare trotted after her. "Hello", she said to Sere, her creatures, and the charming male. "I'm Katalina. And who would you be?" She smiled at the male, her ivory teeth showing, her full lips curved up. Her equine friend--whom she didn't know the name of whinnied atKerah and the kitten. "Hello", she whinnied.

Sere gave a sigh as she watched Katalina approach the male she had just given a smile to. Of course. Although Sere fairly liked Katalina, she couldn't help but listen to the common sense voice inside of her that told her that you didn't just walk around a market and walk up to someone and talk to them immediately like they're your best friend in the whole wide world. Sure, you could've called Sere paranoid, but she was just simply quite the cautious female, not liking to pry her way into matters that didn't involve her -- unless she was needed, of course.
