Body stiffened with fear, he quickened his breaths so that they were shallow and hasty, his emotions confusing him and unambiguous. He wanted to be in another place, wanted to get away from this large, fear-thriving panther beside him. Why did he buy it? Not connected, oh, no; that most certainly could not have been the answer. Yet again Gavin second-guessed himself, and with a furrow of his brows, clenched his jaw. Second-guessing is weak, he told himself angrily.
The young man opened his eyes with a start, hearing another feminine voice from a few yards. Beside the girl he had just been staring at, and who's kitten was fluttering around him, came another girl with yet another hoofed-equine. His bright sapphire eyes opened wide, stretching themselves as it he had were an industrious man waking up from a coma after a large metal beam had broken his skull. His chest skipped a thump, causing Gavin to catch his breath and give his body more oxygen that he had been losing from his hyperventilating.
Gavin watched as they spoke briefly, and then one turned to him with a bright smile. He glanced to her and swiftly locked his illuminating sapphire eyes upon her own azure-hued ones. Swallowing uneasily, he tried to smile, yet all that came was a hard stare and an awkward grimace. Cursing to himself softly, he side-glanced the obsidian panther.

Turing as his new owner shifted his gaze to him, he held an acumen, knowing glint to his bright violet eyes, glowing with irritation. This was odd, even to him; usually it did not take this quickly for a human to filter through his emotions. The opaque feline turned back to the sight of the two equines and female humans silently, body motionless even with his scalding breath coming through the air like a dagger.
As Raiden studied the two humans, he felt the male human tense beside him, an odd emotion of thick confusion emitting from him. He drank it in and analyzed it, seeing that the human was immensely paranoid--not an unexpected reaction--and very confused.
"What is your name?" Raiden asked cooly, his dark voice licking against the human's cleanly-shaved face.

Katalina was cunfused at the young man's odd greeting, but asked him a question anyway. "Is he yours, or were you hoping to sell the poor fellow?" She asked softly, feeling sorry for the angry beast that stood in the cage.
Wintersong went over to the man and sniffed the kitten that was fluttering around him, blowing warm sweet breath onto both the man and the kitten, ruffling the mans hair and the kitten's fur.

"Uh, Gavin," he replied, his lips barely mouthing the words as horror and shock still cloaked over his tall body. A lock of raven-hued hair fell down into his forehead, splitting the view of his bright-sapphire eyes from those who were glancing upon his sharply-defined facial features. Swallowing, he stole a glance to the girl that had appeared before him; were the two sisters? They both had equines and a feline of some sort.
Not a time for flirting, he thought with tempted remorse.
"Raiden? Oh, yes, he's mine." The words sounded awfully awkward on his pierced tongue.
---x
The massive obsidian panther turned his giant-jawed skull to the female human, a glare thick in his marking and violet eyes. Tail, near twice the length of his body, brushing against his heels, the dark beast stared at her for a long while before resuming to his relaxed, easeful stance. Raiden took no pride in this situation; here he was, a powerful leader of a strong--yet breaking apart--clan, standing next to a human whom was just a broken as he was, and chatting with a female, and a kitten.
Oh, how life despised him.

After a moment Elincia landed in front of the huge beast known as Raiden, she was like miniature copy of him but with wings. Her black pelt was glossy like his, she then quietly murmured to him with a flick of her tail, though, before she spoke her other personality came in. Resentment fueled it this time and a cold tint entered her violet eyes, since this was a demon side of her, Enlicia's vocabulary changed. "Are we but mere objects to be bought and sold? As though our thoughts are not accountable to those that are of 'higher species'? We are not free from the cage that had kept us locked in for so long, but now we are in a smaller one, listening to human's gibberish and being said that we are their own now. What is the difference between human slaves and us? Nothing." She finished only to leave a devilish gleam to twinkle in her eye for several heartbeats until the demon was forced out of her mind.
With a sharp breath her pupils narrowed and the personality left leaving Elincia to blink in confusion.

[Introducin' New Charrie ♥]
The sun glinted off of the glass, sending millions of rainbows scattering about everywhere after the light bounced off and reflected. Inside a fine gold cage that had details of flowers scratched firmly into the solid bars contained a creature that was of great rarity. In fact, no other existed of her. From a distance, you wouldn't have noticed much, but when you came closer, the sight inside the cage was a definitely a magnicifent sight to behold.
Within the cage was a glass figurine, transparent, yet it was indeed living. With well-worked and wise hands, the old and boring usual glass had been put through extremely hot temperatures, causing it to be shiftable with a set of steel tongs. Her crafter had created a swan out of her, giving her pretty touch-ups as well. Her whole body was made out of glass with each feather etched in for design, but her beak was made from the stone known as ebony. Her eyes were also not of glass -- they were of the ammolite, a stone that seemed to glitter with all the colors of the rainbow [look it up on google, ammolite actually is rainbow + it's my favorite stone <3].
The sounds that the miniature glass swan made were those of melodic songs. Those songs were the ones that you could swear were familiar, but you couldn't quite name it. The songs varied with her moods; sometimes they were upbeat and absolutely happy, while other times they were sad -- depressing sometimes, almost. There were rare times when you would hear a song of anger or longing, but they did happen every once in a while. There were many times, as well, when the emotions were mixed together into a single peace. Of course, the glass swan couldn't truly sing the words, but the melody of the song was all that mattered.
Currently, no name had been adressed to her, and it was a given fact that whomever purchased her would be able to dub her with whatever name they wished her. Of course, she was free to be defiant and disagree in one way or another, but in the end, she would obey to her purchaser's ideas.

With a sudden impulse, Kerah raised her head and whinnied in the direction of the two humans with numerous creatures. She pulled on the ivy bridle so hard that Sere was nearly afraid that it would break. With care for the delicate lead rope, she quickly began walking in the direction that the creature of the equine family wanted her to go in, trying to cover up for her dignity so that those who saw didn't think that it was the creature she had purchased who was leading her isntead of the other way around.
Arriving rather flustered from Kerah's brisk attempt at departure, Sere found herself with Katalina and the young male whom she had sent a smile in the direction of earlier. She gave him a nod, and said with a rather embarrassed smile, "I'm sorry. She just wanted for some reason to come over here; don't ask me." With that, Sere sent a venemous glance in her equine's direction, but just received in response a rather haughty look. Shaking her head at her creature's proudness, she turned her gaze to look for a few moments at the creature standing beside the male. She regarded it -- he? she? -- with an odd look, almost giving a yelp of surprise as her snow-white equine's nose came in contact with her back and nudged her forward to the odd looking creature. Not wanting to appear as if yet again her purchase was controlling her, Sere raised her hand shakily, holding it out for the creature to sniff if needed, praying that it didn't attempt to just bite her hand off or something else gory. He stared at her with his cold, purple tourmaline eyes, the obsidian markings surrounding his pupils glinting with cool irritation. "That is true," he replied, his deep voice pricking with the burning heat that escaped his overly-sized jaws. "We cannot help it; what is done is done, there's no more to it. To the merchandisers we are tools to be bough and sold for money. With these humans? We are more."
His spinel-hued gaze shifted towards the new female human, whom had stretched out her hand to sniff at. Brows pulling together, the onyx feline stretched out his vocal chords in a low growl, his piercing eyes no more than a heavy glare upon the young human. Yet another equine had come, apparently having dragged her owner to this place. There was nothing Raiden could see that was peculiar about this spot. In fact, behind him, stood the still gurgling merchandiser whom Gavin had purchased him from.
---x
He was about to say something in protection of the new girl, but prayed that Raiden would not snap her entire arm off. Swallowing, throat tight, brows pulled together, he stiffened as the panther released a strong wave of growls, the sound itself very calm and quiet, yet the vibrations making him flinch.
Gavin locked his eyes upon a sparkling cage, glinting with golden hues and hues of the sky. He was immediately thankful for the distraction, and swiftly the panther beside him caught on, for soon his charcoal-hued coat brushed against his rough hand. Muscles stiffened at once as the sharp blades of his coat rubbing harshly against his rough skin. Glancing down, he saw that indeed the ends of the dark panther's hairs had left tiny slits on the back of his hands, soon crimson beading out and trickling down.
Damn.
He followed the panther to the glittering golden cage, casting his bright sapphire eyes upon the beauty within it; a glass swan.

Sere blinked in surprise as growls emitted from the feline-like creature she had held out her hand to, but simply turned her eyes upward to thank the gods that the creature hadn't decided to take a limb or two out of her. "Thanks," she hissed in her equine's direction, rolling her eyes as she went back to face the white pegasus and unicorn crosbred.
As if to say "you're welcome," Kerah resonded to Sere's sarcastic thanks with a snort and a friendly nicker. However, having a short attention span, Kerah quickly forgot about what she was going to answer Sere with and simply followed the male and his creature with her gaze, wondering where they were going all of a sudden.
--x
The transparent swan looked up, startled as a shadow crossed the sunlight's path into her gold cage. Seeing a human, she let out a few shrill notes of joy, but those notes soon turned to fear as she saw what kind of creature stood behind the male. Pacing backwards in her cage, the swan cowered away from the male and the feline creature.

Katalina looked at Gavin's scratched hand, her azure colored eyes locking with the crimson drop that cascaded down the young man's hand. She got out her gold pouch, with a sapphire stone shaped like a water drop embedded within it. "Here, let me help you, I can heal it", Katalina said as she took Gavin's hand, his rough skin feeling odd against her rather soft skin, and poured only a drop of water onto the scratch, and the blood stopped. The skin that had been red and scratched had returned to it's normal hue.
Wintersong looked over at the other equine, then to the dark, hard-furred creature inside a cage. "Why so angry?" She asked, a bit of annoyance in her voice at the fact that he had just growled at her buyer's friend, who had done nothing to him. Katalina tossed her hair back again, her nicely cut and grown out bangs falling delicately on her forehead, going slightly to the side, and her soft brown curls shifting position from her shoulder, into the air, and onto the bottom of her back.
Serena let out a melodic mew of sadness. Was she ever going to be free? What would happen if she didn't ever get sold? Thoughts flitted through the white she-cat's mind, and she shook her head, trying to get rid of them. As her eyes swept around, she saw a nice young man, and two young girls. she hoped to go home with the girl that had the kitten, for that would mean that there would be another feline--or at least part feline with her. She swept her long, lion like tail, and mewed out to the girl, trying to get her attention. If only there were fire around...

His hand flinched slightly as he felt the cooling sensation of the medicine the girl held. Swallowing, he was humbled by the fact that she obtained such a power. Was the human race at such a state that they hid these things? Hid them from the world just as the world hid its own secrets from humanity. Slowly he recoiled, taking his hand away from her with a grimace.
The young male closed his eyes briefly, the obsidian brute beside him shifting his brilliant violet eyes from the golden cage and resting them upon his troubled human. Gavin released a silent breath and opened his bright sapphire eyes to stare into the onyx eyes of the beautiful glass creature before him.
With haste, he pulled his brows together and side-glanced Raiden. Instantly the human saw amusement in this and arched one brow skeptically, a cool wind picking up a strand of dark hair in front of his forehead and licking it gently. He sighed and turned back to the swan, watching with curiosity as she shifted around uneasily in discomfort at the back of her small cage.
--x
Long tail curled upwards in cool annoyance as the second equine questioned him with irritation. Locking his glowing purple eyes upon the equine's long face, he narrowed his eyes placidly. "Why so kind?" Raiden asked back wisely.
--x
Gavin leaned forwards and slowly lifted his free arm up, rubbing his rough hand against the bars of the tawny jail. He gazed at the swan with uttermost curiosity, for her elegance was not one to be matched, and even he, one to have seen much beauty in the world, was awed by it.

Katalina let go of Gavin's hand, feeling a bit annoyed that he didn't even say thank you, but just put her gold pouch back into her pocket.
Wintersong glared at Raiden, her silver eyes narrowed. "I can be mean, if you like", She hissed back at him, her hoof raised, ready to kick the ignorant creature. She looked at Kerah, her eyes now narrowed in curiosity. "What's you name?" She asked, looking at the equine, who had an earthy tone about her, while Wintersong had a more delicate tone about her, with the silk and silver halter and silver and sapphire bracelet.

The crystalline figure of the swan shuffled further into the depths of her cage, pure confusion and fear lining her stone and glass features as she paced anxiously back and forth near the back of her cage. She let out a few more notes of complete apprehension as she stole a glance in the young man's direction. Indeed, the male looked amiable enough, but the creature behind him... well, she didn't exactly want to have to live with the feline-like animal.
Meeting the male human's gaze, the swan was rather startled when she gazed into the depths of his bright sapphire-hued eyes. Despite the fact that she had unusual eyes as well, rainbow colored since the stone of ammolite was of that color, she couldn't help but feel rather amazed at this human's gaze. It was almost electrifying; how shockingly blue it was.
A gentle wind picked up, carelessly tossing a few bits of leaves and dust about in the market. Currently, more and more people had entered the market, looking for a creature that they could purchase. Everywhere around her, the swan heard ceaseless amounts of arguing and bargaining as many different assortments of creatures were being acquired by humans. She desperately wanted to become one of the number of creatures being set free today by a human, but did she really want to be owned by this human with the bright blue eyes who had a daunting looking feline-like creature with him?
Letting out a few more melodic notes, the swan cowered in her golden cage, peeking with her bright and sparkling eyes at the male who stood at her cage, gazing at her with such an intense gaze that she almost thought that one of her glass feathers etched into her frame had broken, although she had been obviously made to last, even under the worse circumstances. It was true, for in all her days here at the market, rain or shine or hail or whatever type of difficult weather faced, her glassy figure had never dulled once.
--x
The snow-white equine turned as an inquiry from the other equine came in her direction. "I go by Kerah," she answered shortly, meeting the other equine's gaze evenly with her own vivid and luminous heliotrope colored one. With that, she looked at Sere, wondering how she could tell her human her name.
Kerah could've easily referred to Sere as her human owner, but Kerah was a spirited one. Although she had a dainty appearance on the outside and looked as if a single push could knock her slender ivory colored frame over, she was truly strong and could endure dire circumstances for long periods of times; after all, hadn't she survived the market until Sere had come along and purchased her?
Kerah pawed a single, elegant silver colored hoof on the ground as she tossed her fine head in the air with an aura of dignity surrounding her as her lustrous silvery colored mane gently fell back down, kissing her neck ever so lightly.
--x
"Are you considering about buying her?" Sere murmured softly, standing on tip-toe to peek over the male's shoulder to see what he was gaping at. Indeed, the creature inside was quite the exotic one; a swan, finely made out of glass with details etched so finely, you could nearly envision the creature as an actual swan. Chips of ammolite were there for eyes, and indeed, they looked exactly like eyes. An ebony beak was made as well, with audible notes of song coming from it.

Unappeased by the equine's actions, the massive panther turned slowly back, his broken pride taking place only in his indignant-ness. Enormously long tail brushed against his powerful heels, smug and sturdy from his position in his race. Running his deep violet gaze across towards the stuttering swan, Raiden stared at her with little amusement, the disgust of having a human beside him making him seethe with irritation and annoyance. Claws flexed against the dirty floor achingly, his giant lower mandible relaxed and closed.
The opaque male feline channeled his lengthy-ranged attention towards the human girl whom was peering over his human's shoulder in interest. As she spoke her words, he lifted his large skull up to stare at Gavin's brilliant sapphire eyes, nearly as bright and illuminating as his, if not more.
--x
His eyes did not break from the entrancing beauty of the glassy bird, and suddenly a close presence came over his right shoulder. He did not glance over to see, but merely used his excellent peripheral vision to see that it was the girl he had first laid eyes on, with the spontaneous flying kitten and fiery Pegasus-unicorn-breed. Gavin felt a comfort with her, and relaxed, eyelids dropping down to a more friendly appearance to his sharply-defined face.
Going to buy her? Well, if Raiden permits, he thought with little amusement. As he glanced down, he met the poisoned and enraged glowing violet eyes of his companion. Gavin was no longer relaxed. His body tensed, jaw clenching together as a chill wracked his spine. I can't deal with those eyes, he snarled to himself.
Swallowing, he gathered himself up more so that his vocal chords were not frozen. "Raiden, what do you think?" he asked nervously.
--x
The panther-creature did not blink. "Being with you tears me apart enough," he replied matter-of-factly.

A creature sat in a beautiful golden cage, with vines and roses twined around the thin bars. She was perched on a swinging wooden cylinder, hung by two vines tied to the top of the cage. She swung the perch, and sang through her bright golden beak, her song's notes intertwining with the glass bird's notes beside her, and making a most beautiful song.
As she swung, the sunlight moved around on her shining green feathers, making them shift colors like the northerns lights. Her long tail swished down over the bar, and in the sunlight, she looked absolutely beautiful. Her dark obsidian eyes were glittering with excitement. Today allot of people were in the market, and maybe one would buy her. Her song suddenly got livelier and happy, but still sounded beautiful with the glass swan's song. The thing that was magical about her was that she was a shapeshifter, but her real shape was this form right now.
The exotic bird's name? Rae.
