"Single familiar would be more of saying 'tú' instead of Usted, since I believe you're now familiar with who I am and we can consider each other as friends," Carrie remarked simply, reverting back to English quickly before returning to her Spanish as avidly as ever.
"El medio galope es bien; convenido," Carrie responded, her words coming out just as easily as when she had spoken French. Studying had certainly paid off and currently Rory had begun to listen to the conversation since she, too, could easily understand the Spanish as long as it wasn't spoken too fast.
"¿Y Rory? ¿Convenido?" Carrie asked as she turned to look at her best friend for a brief moment, hoping that Rory understood what she was asking. Even Sariae seemed to understand one way or another; her ears were perked up in a delicate form as the ivory colored Lipizzaner mare also tried to tune in on what was being said.

"Convenido," Rory answered and gave a nod, glad that she was finally able to understand what they were saying. Spanish was her main language; she didn't exactly study foreign languages too much. She had, however, also gotten the hang of Italian simply because of the fact that Spanish and Italian were almost identical in some places.
Without waiting, Rory nudged Sariae gently. Her mare instantly lengthened her elegant strides quickly, each hoof still carefully placed in a spot along the rich, moist ground. Even though Rory didn't have any stirrups, the rhythmic motion of Sariae's easy canter would have made Rory want to not use her stirrups if she had had a real saddle on Sariae's back.
Sariae herself was enjoying the canter; it felt nice to have gentle breezes playing with her silky, long ivory colored mane, caressing the long threads of hair. The mare's pace was brisk, but she managed to keep the elegance that a Lipizzaner mare had; cantering was one of the gaits Rory was most proud about with Sariae.

Camille nodded to them, and urged Papillon into a canter. Althoughshe liked trotting, cantering was even more fun. She loved how her hair blew in the breeze, and how they were going fast, and Papillon's smooth gait. She loved showing Papillon in a canter, because of the way her long mane played in the breeze, and the way her feathers billowed around her hooves. [ By the way, "feathers" are the long fur around a horses hooves, in case anyone shouldn't know that. =) ] Camille having only a pale blue silk blanket and a soft leather bitless bridle on Papillon slid her delicate fingers forward in the worn leather and let the breeze ruffle her hair and clothing. Pretty much everything that Camille and Papillon had on was billowing. Camilles long wavy hair was streaming out behind her, and her soft light blue tank top was gently bowing in the wind.
Papillon, who was enjoying this quite much, tossed her elegant head up a bit, sending her silken strands of mane up into the breeze, then coming down to gently kiss her glossy neck.

With an art of eloquence and elegance, Calyndar burst out into a canter even before Carrie had began the gestures in which to get an equine moving. The stallion that had nothing but pure and unclouded Egyptian Arabian blood running through his veins cantered forward, determined to be the one beside Sariae, the mare who had a coat which was the color of snow that had just descended on the sky and had fallen to the ground, nothing marking the purity of the ivory color.
After a while, Calyndar had gotten his wish. He was cantering on next to Sariae, trying to match his stride to hers, although it was rather hard since his steps always equalled somewhat double of Sariae's smaller, daintier steps. Even still, Calyndar held his head up high, pride and confidence gleaming in his brown colored eyes as he cantered alongside Sariae.
Carrie, meanwhile, couldn't help but let out another group of giggles at the fact that Calyndar was for some reason trying to get next to Sariae. "¿Los caballos son imprevisibles, no son ellos?" she called over her shoulder to Camille, seeing her cantering as well. At least by the time she had called that out to Camille, Carrie had finished giggling. If she hadn't, she would've probably choked on one or two of them and the results would've been unpleasant.
Next to her, Carrie saw Rory having a completely delighted and elated look written across the face that contained the skin complexion Carrie was often envious of at times. Still, who had the prettier looks didn't matter when they were on horseback -- it was simply a matter of having fun. Rory's ebony colored hair, like Carrie's on honey-brown hair, was streaming out behind her, as if Rory's ringlets contained fluidic components.

Was she too harsh? Alicia thought as they went along, the breeze gently blowing her brown hair in a light, airy way. She felt eyes prick at her for a few seconds and turned her head to look at Carrie, who just turned her head away from Alicia to gaze at Camille. Did she hear the conversation? The young girl blushed, looking down to cover her face for a brief moment. After she was sure her face had returned to normal she looked up again to see that Tyler had a depressed expression on his face. Guilt flashed in her eyes until she managed to control it.
"I'm sorry" she whispered into his ear, truth in her soft words, once the message slipped from her lips she began to watch Carrie, Rory, and Camille talk though she only understood the Spanish parts of speech. Of course she was too shy to admit she was Hispanic.

Although tears pricked at his eyes, Tyler managed to keep his voice normal. "It's alright," he said gently. wishing Alicia had returned his feelings for her, or at least, she would have her arms around his waist, like she kind of did before. "Do you want to canter?" he asked, looking at her for a moment before realizing that tears pricked his eyes and then he quickly turned his gaze away from hers, concentrating on keeping Tao from galloping towards Sariae.

Since Alicia didn't exactly have a horse of her own yet, she was quite unsure was a 'canter' was but she smiled anyway. "Sure," she replied then gripped Tao a little harder, this was obviosuly a trot so a canter must be somewhat faster. The young teenage girl didn't hold onto Tyler though, deciding it wasn't the best thing to do after their very recent conversation, and the fact that inside she still felt a little awkward. Alicia's brown eyes focused over Tyler's shoulder, trying to pretend that she hadn't seen the way his eyes were when he had suggested that they should canter.
Her dress fluttered in the gentle breeze as they began to gain some more speed on the dirt trail. Alicia closed her eyes blissfully once they were in the canter, it felt wonderful. Absolutely wonderful to be able to ride like this, suddenly the warm glow started within her chest again, which made a smile dance on her lips.

Tyler could feel that Alicia was feeling a bit awkward with the situation. "You don't have to feel wierd about it, it's fine, Alicia," he said to her, although his eyes were just getting wetter by every word he said, although you'd have had no idea about that by the calm sound of his voice. He let Tao pick up speed until he was next to Calynder and Saraie, but looked a bit away from the two girls, not wanting them o see his shiny eyes.

The brown haired girl nodded slightly, "okay." It was odd how Tyler knew exactly what she was thinking, was he emotions really that obvious? She thought she had mastered the ability to hide certain emotions, but not really hard sadness or anger, she as still working on those even if she rarely got angry. Alicia smiled at Carrie and Rory once she caught up with them, "'ello" she said, her eyes shining with happiness at being able to ride a horse like this.
Hopefully Tyler would be okay soon, she didn't like the idea of someone feeling like this, since she caused most of his pain. This time she looked away and winced, if she took that view it was pretty harsh what she did but it was the truth. So, she had to have done the okay thing after all...right?

Tyler was feeling better now, and blinked, a single tear dropping from his eye at al that welling up, but he was alright. He quickly wiped it away, and smiled at Alicia once his eyes weren't red and puffy, and no signs showed that he had been almost crying. He still wished so much that Alicia would hold onto his waist, not only for his comfort, but for her safety. Tao's back was rather glossy, making t a bit slippery. If she were to fall off and get hurt...Her father would never let her get a horse, and he'd never let her be with Tyler again. "So, when we get back, could I help you look for a horse" he asked her, eagerness to get back suddenly brightening his stunning blue eyes.

"C'ello," Rory greeted Alicia easily, giving a nod of her head as well as she took a break from looking ahead. Sariae had enough sense not to step on anything that would cause them to mess up in their canter. Placing one hand on Sariae's glossy ivory colored neck, the other passed through her hair slightly to make sure it wouldn't get too windblown. Even though Rory's ringlets were usually very easy to brush out, there were times when it sometimes could get extremely tangled, making it actually be a hard task to brush her hair so that it looked all right.
Rory looked on ahead for a few moments before looking back. She gazed down at each boot, making sure that they were laced. It was as if her boots had a mind of their own; they had an uncanny way of unlacing themselves at the exact moment she needed them on and tied. Rory was still in the process of trying to prevent this to happen, but she was determined to not have something like that befall upon her today.

"Hello, Alicia," Carrie said in response to Alicia's greeting to them. She sent a quick smile at the female teenager. She wanted to speak with Alicia about what was currently happening with Tyler, but she knew that it would be rather difficult to speak about somebody when that exact somebody was riding behind the person she wished to speak to.
She knew that the situation between Tyler and Alicia was rather akward and that she didn't fully understand, but Carrie was still curious, a feeling she couldn't help but not ignore. She wanted to know facts, like she always did, but knew that they would have to wait.

Her eyes glittered with happiness, "Of course you can help me" she chirped then turned to Carrie and Rory, "would you two like to help me pick out a horse too?" she asked, they should know exactly what to look for. This could give her a chance to get a perfect horse! Alicia felt joy pulse calmly through heart, making it feel fuzzy.
As she awaited an answer she began to think, should she get a female horse- a mare wasn't it?- or a male horse -stallion was its horse name correct?-? Mare or stallion? She pondered on the subject, knowing that she should be prepared just in case. That way she'd know exactly which gender of horses to head over too. It seemed like a good, sensible plan to her.

Taylor was in a daze, and almost flew off of Skye as she cantered rather fast up to the group. "Um, hi," she said. "I couldn't help overhearing, and if you don't have one, you could borrow one of my horse books. I have one in my backpack back at the stable," she said rather cheerfully. She wanted to make lots of new friends, since she had only moved here a short while ago. Skye whinnied, as if to say, "I'll help to," and Taylor giggled a bit. "This is Skye, by the way, and I'm Taylor. You are?" she asked, addressing the question to both Tyler and Alicia.
Tyler almost jumped with happiness as Alicia agreed. "Great. Hmm, looks like we're almost at the Stables now," he remarked, realizing that they had taken the short trail. "And I can help you pick out the perfect one, Alicia," he added, friendliness in his voice, but he was careful to his the sparkle of affection he felt in his voice.

"That's fine," Rory responded, giving a nod in response to Alicia's suggestion. "I'd be delighted to," she added, a warm smile showing on her face as she verified her coming with Alicia to help her chose a horse. There were a few at the stables that were being sold, including some which would suitingly fit Alicia's temprament.
Continuing to ride along on Sariae and noting the fact that they were nearing the point in which the trail ride ended, a point she had never liked in trail rides, Rory looked to Carrie, waiting for her best friend to respond. After a few moments pause of silence, which seemed rather akward to Rory, the female teenager jabbed her friend in the side, causing Carrie to break out from whatever trance-like state she had been in.
"Hello-o-o, earth to Carrie... The martians are invading and you're the only one that can save us..." Rory murmured softly to her friend, a teasing light gleaming in her lilaceous eyes as she gave her friend another prod in the side. Whatever Carrie had been thinking about, Rory would never know, unless Carrie decided to spill the beans.

"Wha--oh..." Carrie muttered as she felt Rory prod her in the side once, then twice again, both pokes equally as hard. "What? Martian invaders? Oh, good lord, help us!" she exclaimed in fright that was nearly half real. When Rory began laughing slightly, Carrie blinked stupidly at her friend. Oh.
"Yes, of course I'll help you pick out a horse," Carrie mumbled in reply to Alicia, slightly embarrassed that she hadn't been paying attention.

Alicia nodded her head happily, her cheeks beginning to get rosy red from the cold blowing onto her face "okay, that sounds great" she said to Rory, Carrie, and Tyler. At the sound of another voice willing to help she turned her head to look upon Taylor, who was waiting for her to introduce herself. Her brilliant brown gaze flickered briefly over her before saying her name. "I'm Alicia" she introduced herself quite shyly since she had always been shy. After a while, they were almost to the stable, Alicia felt glad because she was really chilly. At night the air had always had a frosty (my name! ) touch to it. Once they arrived she slipped delicately off Tao, brushing her hair back with her hand once she had touched solid ground. Her legs felt sort of odd to have been riding so long but it didn't matter, she had met some new friends and they were going to help her find the perfect horse! A male voice called her from across the street, the young teenage girl looked around and managed to find her father within the shadows of the gathering darkness. She glanced back at the others, her hair blowing gently along with the breeze. "I'll see you all tomorrow" she said, and waved her hand for a quick moment before disappearing into the shadows with her father. The teenager poured into her story, though she left out the part about Tyler saying he liked her since she knew her father would get super protecting over her. Once she finished they had already walked through the fields, standing in front of their large house. "Tomorrow, I shall have my very own horse" she murmured under her breath then glanced back over her shoulder toward the stable which was very small now in the distance. Her very own. Silently she slipped into the house after her father.

Looking up, Rory watched as the last of the sun's rays were beginning to disappear behind the mountains that stood. Sunset had different scattered colored hues everywhere, the skies appearing to look like a numerous pallet of pastel colors all mixed into one. It was pretty, that was for sure, and Rory could have stood in one place and stared up at the sunset, if not for Sariae prancing up and down gently.
The female teenager jolted back to reality from her yet again daydreaming expression. "Well," she began, sending a smile to the rest of those who had joined her on the trail ride, "I guess we should call it a day." With that, she halted her ivory colored mare and slid off. She wasn't the most elegant at dismounting, but she at least could do it. With envy, Rory watched as Carrie stopped Calyndar and dismounted in a graceful form.
"Lucky," Rory muttered underneath her breath, but it was all in play. She had her good talents and points and she had things she couldn't do as well as bad points -- the same for Carrie. No one was perfect and no one was drop-dead gorgeous; that just wasn't exactly possible. Still, some people could come pretty close, but that didn't really matter to Rory nor to Carrie, although when boys were involved, Carrie could act relatively prissy and vain.
"Thanks for the trail ride, all of you," Rory said, giving a nod to each of them and giving them each a warm smile before putting her arm on Sariae's back. She didn't have a bridle to lead Sariae; her mare would just walk of her own accord with her. "C'mon, Sariae; let's get going back to the stables. I'd bet you'd like a little rest after that trail ride," she murmured softly in the ear of her mare.
--x
As the sun was no longer up above, Carrie's hair returned to her natural regular brown-ish color. It wasn't an ugly color, but she thought that it wasn't as good as the golden honey-brown color her hair looked like in the midst of the bright rays of sunlight. Still, Carrie wasn't planning on interacting with any boys that she had at least potentially thought of as rather handsome for the rest of today.
As she watched Rory, Carrie turned to the others. "Well, what d'you think we should do? Turn in for today and meet up again tomorrow or are some of you busy or what? Or can we still do something today, say... party?" A grin spread across the female's face as she said the words, although she truly didn't exactly believe that the others would really agree to a party. It was just the wild and [really] crazy side of her that made her want to have fun after a day of riding on a trail.
Loosening Calyndar's girth so that the saddle was still placed upon him but the strap wasn't pressed as firmly, Carrie leaned against her obsidian colored stallion. resting her head on his neck.
