Tyler shivered a bit as Alicia slipped ever so delicately off of Tao. "Good-bye, miss Alicia, he called to her, forgetting to not use the word "miss" before her name. He slipped off of Tao, leading him to his stall. He gave a nicker to Saraie, and followed Tyler, stopping while his human picked up the saddle that he had left on the fence, then kept moving. Tyler glanced back at the spot where Alicia had been, and saw that she had already left. Silently, he cursed under his breath. He hadn't even gotten Alicia's phone number.
Taylor waved to the three girls, calling good-bye to Drew and Taye, hoping to see Taye again tomorrow. She had rather liked him.
Camille trotted off to the stable, calling "adios" to the two girls. She put Papillon into her box stall, giving her some hay, a bit of oats and grain, and an apple she had brought to the stable, and got onto her bike, pedaling home.

Drew awoke from his few meager hours of sleep, rubbing his eyes slightly as a yawn emitted from his mouth. Yesterday's talking with Taye hadn't gone all too well; Taye just didn't really seem to understand the seriousness of the situation that Drew felt. Well, that was probably normal -- Taye didn't really seem to take /anything/ too seriously. What else would you expect from someone who flirted continuously with almost all girls?
Stepping out of his bed, Drew changed from his pajamas in to a pair of faded jeans and a white shirt with a deep red colored sweatshirt over the shirt. Even though it really wasn't all too cold outside since it was virtually spring, there was sometimes still a little chill in the air every once in a while.
Grabbing a piece of toast from the counter and saying a quick greeting and farewell to his parents, he dashed out on to the street, beginning to make his way back to the stables by foot.
Once there, Drew immediately went to tend to Layke. Feeding and grooming his stallion, Drew couldn't help but have his spirits lifted slightly as he worked with Layke. Finishing with his Arabian stallion, Drew gave Layke a pat. "We'll go out on a ride or maybe for training today, I promise, boy," he said to Layke.
With that, Drew untied Layke's cross-ties and lead Layke out by clutching his stallion's halter. Opening the gate to a meadow, Drew let Layke in and shut the gate, leaving Layke's saddle and bridle on the fence for later tacking.
As Drew passed by the numerous horses, he paused to give some of them a stroke here and there. He stopped in front of Sariae's stall for the longest. Sariae. Rory's mare. Reaching his hand out, a rather tired voice startled him from behind.
--x
"Hi, Drew!" Rory greeted the male in as a bright of a tone she could manage. When Drew turned around to look at her, she was attempting to rub the sleep from her pale violet colored eyes. When she lowered her hands, she sent Drew a smile. "Looking at Sariae, are you? Well, go ahead and pet her; she won't bite your head off."
With that, Rory turned to go get Sariae's grooming kit from the tack room along with Sariae's blanket. Inside, she bumped into Carrie, looking equally as tired. "Carrie!" Rory said as enthusiastically as she could -- which wasn't very enthusiastic. Her friend's response was even worse; it was just a grunt. Well, they were teenagers. Teenagers and the nighttime didn't go well together most of the time since teenagers usually stayed awake all night to play this or read something there in a magazine.
[Taye's coming soon, luffs; he's just a really late sleeper and a late riser. x3 I have to depart for now, so yeah.]

Camille yawned, opening her periwinkle colored eyes and rubbing sleep out of them. She walked over to her dresser, and changed into some faded blue jeans and a pale blue tank top. Most of her shirts were of a shade of blue, but she did have other colors, blue was just her favorite. She picked up a brush and detangled her soft, light brown wavy hair. She took a hair tie and put it around her wrist in case she wanted to tie it back later.
She quickly walked downstairs, and grabbed two apples from the table and said "au revoir" to her parents. She took her dark brown coat from the coat rack and hurried out the door, hopping on her bike and riding to the Stables.
Once she got there, she went to Papillon's stall, apparently right next to Layke's stall. "Hi, guys," she said nonchalantly as she started grooming Papillon's sleek coat, now dirty from a nights rest. Once Papillon was fed and groomed, she got Papillon's soft pale violet halter and led her to the pasture, where the others were standing. She unclipped the lead rope, and let Papillon canter gracefully off to Layke. She wanted to say "hey, Drew, I think someone's got a little crush on Layke," but Drew didn't really know her that well. She watched with a glint of amusement in her eyes as Papillon playfully nudged Layke.

Tyler stretched, and walked over to his dresser, taking off his pajamas and changing into some light blue jeans and a gray T-shirt. Excitement bubbled through him as he walked downstairs, calling for his sister to hurry up. Today he was going to help Alicia buy a horse!
Tara rolled her sightless, emerald green eyes, and got out of bed, unbraiding the long tendrils of blonde hair that came down to her back. The braid overnight hadgiven it a rather wavy effect. She brushed the couple of tangles that were in her hair, and left it out, her side bangs now partially covering one eye. She dressed in a black fitted T-shirt and some faded pale blue jeans and took a carrot off her dresser where there was always some sort of treat for Starlight. She ran downstairs, hearing her brother call for her, and kissed her mother good bye, and walked to the Stable with Tyler.

Drew managed a quick flash of a smile to Camille, but he was currently absorbed in his own thoughts as he stroked Sariae's neck absent-mindedly. The Lipizzaner mare nickered softly to him, her eyes sporting an intelligent look as if she understood completely about the situation he was currently in.
"Rory made a good choice when she got you," he whispered softly to Sariae, holding out a carrot for the mare. With a delighted look gleaming in her eyes, Sariae took the carrot gently from Drew's hand, her muzzle dancing lightly on his hand as she took the treat. Drew watched as Sariae contentedly crunched on the carrot, the rhythmic moving of her jaws somehow soothing him for a few brief moments.
Those first few moments in which he had woken up had been the best; those had been the moments when he had forgotten everything that had happened. Only when he regained his memories after a few split seconds did Drew's world feel like it was crashing. Still, Drew managed to keep his normal composure although he wan't sure for how long he would be able to before having an outburst and yelling at everything in sight out of pure frustration.
Leaning back against the stall door of Sariae's airy and open stall, Drew gave a sigh. It wasn't a sigh that you could detect emotion in; it was just a sigh. One could've mistakened it for a yawn, but it was just a plain, simple little sigh. A look of contempt crossed Drew's face as he thought of the subject again, but he tried to cover it up by looking tired, which really wasn't that hard of a look to summon up.
Drew watched as Layke nudged Papillon back then cantered on to the other side of the field, nickering a playful call. Why did horses have it so easy when it came to topics like this? Why couldn't humans be like that, having fun with the person that they liked instead of not even being able to speak to them?

Rory came out from the tack room, carrying Sariae's blanket. Seeing Drew still there and looking as if he were contemplating deeply about something, she sent him a smile and rested the blanket on a post near Sariae's stall. "Hey, Camille," Rory greeted the female teenager, sending a smile in the female's direction. "Anything new happen lately?"
Rory plopped herself down on a wooden bench on one side of the stable, leaning back against the wall that seperated two stalls. Leaning down, Rory checked to see again if her riding boots were laced up. Once she was done with that, she sat back up, awaiting Camille's answer.

Taylor got out of bed, almost slipping on a drawing that she had done the night before. She must have fallen asleep while she was doing it, and dropped it. She pinned it up on her wall, and walked to her dresser, littered with drawings. She pulled out a light gray fitted T-shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans. She pulled on her dark brown riding boots, and put on a pair of half chaps, and walked out of the door, waving to her parents. She ran back into the house, and grabbed her best horse book, remembering that she was going to let Alicia borrow it.
She walked into Skye's stall, brushing and feeding her. Once she was done, she walked her over to the pasture, letting go of her silk, pale blue halter, and watched with the others as she trotted over to Papillon and Layke. "Hey, guys," she said to the group of riders who she had met the other day.

Koraline stood in her seperate pasture, looking rather longingly at the other horses that were nearby, but in a different enclosure. A look of sadness and wistfulness mixed into her eyes, but she tried to remain as confident as she could. Each day could be the day she would be purchased, but each day that didn't happen, that was a day of bitterness for her when she saw other humans leading their horses in to their lodgings at the stables.
The ivory colored mare pawed the ground with a single, delicate ebony hoof, causing a slight furrow to become embedded within the moist earth. She rather liked spring; the new shoots of green that popped up from the rich, brown earth, the beautiful notes of birdsong that hung in the air like an aura, and the warmness that cloaked everywhere.
Koraline breathed out deeply, her action nearly sounding like a human-like sigh. Looking around, she spotted a group of two-legged creatures -- humans -- nearby. They all probably had horses of their own and they were most likely not interested in her in the very least.

Alicia's eyes flickered open; she blinked a few times before slipping quietly out of bed. Her pink gown only covered up to her knees, which made a cold seep from the floor below her, she walked over to her bathroom with some clothes in her soft hands. She blinked sleepily as she closed the bathroom door behind her. Inside she took at look at herself in the mirror, her hair was frizzy and tangled. She let out a soft sigh and got to working fixing herself up, her hands working quickly. After about an hour she stepped out, her eyes glittering and her hair neatly done, it was as though the tangles had never been there. Alicia brushed down her skirt then walked downstairs. Her father had been cooking, he glanced up at her as she walked over to the table. "What took you so long, honey? Hopefully your food isn't cold by now" there was a teasing note in his voice as he sat down with his plate of eggs and toast. Alicia giggled softly. "Well, dad, I had to dress myself and-" she was cut off by a knowing gleam in his eyes. She smiled then delicately ate her food, when she finished she stood up and put her dishes away. "I'm going to the stable, father" she called over her shoulder as she reached the door, he dipped his head and walked into the livingroom. Alicia pushed open the door and walked out onto the porch. Her eyes flowed placidly over the fields before she lightly stepped down the stairs and walked toward the meadows near the stable. She watched as the other teenagers met up with each other, she didn't feel like walking over there at the moment. Once she arrived she danced through the flowers until she reached a nice, sunny spot. She sat down, the breeze blowing softly upon her face and caressing her hair. Alicia was glad she had went to the meadows instead, there was a dreamy look in her brilliant brown eyes as she smelled a beauitful looking flower. Today was a very nice day.

Tyler looked around for Alicia, and finally saw her in the pasture, gazing at a flower with beautiful sparkling brown eyes. He walked over to her, pace quickening with every step. He stopped once to pick a rbunch of fragrant lilacs and continued. "Hi, Alicia," he said, shyness and nervousness coming back to him. "Uh, I picked this for you," he managed to get out, holding out his hand, the sunflower in his grasp. He felt a burning sensation on his cheeks, and wanted to smack himself. He was blushing! He tried to calm down, and felt the sensation slowly go away. He continued to look at Alicia, wondering what she would say.

Alicia stood up as Tyler held out the flower, she took it from him, a smile danced lightly on her lips. "Thank you" she murmured quietly, her gaze flickered over his face to find that he had been blushing but it soon drifted from his cheeks. "Lets see how the others are doing" she added after a moment. She glanced back at him to make sure he was coming before walking back to the stable, her skirt fluttered playfully in the breeze.
She stepped into the stable to find Drew, Rory, Carrie, and Camille. Alicia smiled to them all though inside she was still concerned for Drew. He had it rough last night with Taye bugging him, she walked over to Drew, she had never really spoken directly to him and still felt somewhat nervouse to talk. "Drew...?" she murmured quietly, hoping to catch the young teenager's attention. "Are-are you okay?" she paused only to add hastily, "from yesterday, I mean" she asked, her eyes searching his own to see if his answer would betray his actual feelings.
Alicia blinked up at him, her brown eyes soft with concern. She had always been like this, since she was much younger, whenever something bad happened to someone she had always been there to comfort them. Hopefully Drew would understand what she was trying to do. "If you /are/ okay...could you help me find a horse? The others said they'd help too" she couldn't help but add after several seconds.

"Sure I'll help. And don't worry about it, I'll live," Drew responded. He didn't mean for his words to sound so short and uncaring, but he was just a little irritated. Normally, he was a nice and good-natured person, but there were certain times, like now, when he just had his patience tried a little too far over the limit. "Taye's a blockhead," he muttered underneath his breath to no one in particular, jamming his hands into his pockets and looking up as Rory stood up and neared him on her way to pet Sariae.
Shifting out of the way so that Rory could stand in front of Sariae's stall, Drew let out another sigh, although he was careful to not let any of the frustration show. Alicia was currently clutching a flower, a flower that Tyler had given to her, no doubt. His eyes filled with exassperation. How come he couldn't do that with Rory? How come he didn't have the gut to hand a flower over to her? Why?
Why, lord, why?
--x
Rory gave a smile towards Drew in thanking him for moving out of the way so she could interact with Sariae. Stroking her ivory colored Lipizzaner mare gently, Rory laid her head on Sariae's neck. Again, like always, Rory viewed the intelligent and wise look that seemed forever embedded within Sariae's eyes. Why it was there just confused her; it always seemed as if Sariae knew exactly what was happening in any situation.
"Why don't you go on and join the other horses now, Sariae?" Rory murmured softly, opening Sariae's stall and leading Sariae out without any usage of a bridle or even the halter that Sariae currently had on. It was a rather odd sight; a teenager female walking with a hand on her horse's back as the horse just walked on of her own accord.
Opening the gate that was the entrance to the pasture in which most of the other horses were in, Rory watched as Sariae trotted in, each hoof expertly placed in a place that would cause no harm to her. With a smile, Rory watched as Sariae sent a nicker to all there as if she were some type of royalty entering somewhere. Shutting the gate, she turned and went back to the others.
"So," she said shortly, having nothing to say.

Tyler smiled as she took the flower. He walked after her. "So, are we going to choose that horse? I think all the for sale ones are in that barn," he said, pointing to a small barn next to the main one.
Taylor walked up to Alicia, handing her the book. "Here you go," she said. "Thats the best of my horse books," she added, friendliness in her voice.
Papillon chased Layke across the pasture, a dlighted look in her intelligent eyes. Camille looked at Drew, wondering if he was thinking the same as her, but it seemed that he was in a totally different world now...

Alicia looked away from Drew as she was given a book and asked a question. "Of course, but not now. I have to wait until my father comes out from our house, he's the one paying for the lovely creature" she told Tyler in a friendly manner then turned her attention to the young girl known as Taylor. "Thank you so much" she added happily. Alicia smiled lightly then turned back around to answer Drew who was gazing at the flower she had with a hard look.
"Well, there is no use sitting around being depressed about it" she said quietly but there was a sharp note in her words, "if you ever what to get Rory you have to take some action but remember, girls aren't prizes to be won." Her voice grew soft again, "you'll just have to go with flow; not to fast, not to slow, at your own pace." She paused to brush away some of her silky brown hair, "Its okay, Drew, I'm sure you'll make it through" she finished with a quick hug for support then turned away.
She put the flower in her purse then walked over to a horse, she looked around its small little home and saw the name Koraline writing down. "Koraline" she murmured under her breath as she gazed at the horse. She looked beautiful.

Tyler nodded. "Alright. he walked up close to Alicia, and whispered in her ear, "Would you like to ride with me? On Tao again? You could try him on your own, in the ring, if you want," Tyler said, hoping that Alicia would want to.

A light breeze whispered by, stirring Koraline's white colored mane gently. Looking up, the mare saw a female standing near the fence that enclosed her. With an eager nicker, the mare trotted over to the female, trying to make each step she took elegant and dainty so that the female would see them and maybe think that she was a mare worth buying.
Standing right at the edge of the fence, Koraline gave the female a gentle sniff, careful not to scare the teenager away. Her eyes had a sensible and placid look in them as she awaited the human's response. There were multiple ways the human could reacct to her, but the one Koraline was hoping for was the delighted exclamation that would proceed to purchasing her.
Even though Koraline was eager to get out of being sold by the stable and being underneath ownership of a rider, she still wasn't quite sure what type of person this female was. On the outside, the teenager looked like the ideal owner for her since they both weren't very broad nor very large. Even so, Koraline was still unsure -- looks on the outside could easily be deceiving.
If one had examined Koraline's expression closely enough, her muzzle could almost be viewed as if it were in a human-like smile, although it certainly wasn't.
