So I'm a tom.
Tabby pelt,
Blue eyes,
White chin.
I'm big.
Very big.
Guess that's why my name's Bear.

I believe in StarClan.
I believe in the warrior code.
And I follow both.
Despite the fact that I'm a rouge.

I was almost a Clan cat.
Many moons ago, when I fell in love with a SkyClan queen.
Her name was Lilypelt...
I had four kits by her.
Two stayed alive.
One died.
One went with me.
He was barely a quarter-moon old.
But I didn't know that he wasn't supposed to be away from a nursing queen.
Lilypelt had been a new mother.
She hadn't know that either.
So I took him, until he started crying and I couldn't comfort him.
I took him to EarthClan.
The poor tom was too weak to last the journey back to SkyClan.
They took him in.
I spy on him every once in a while.
He's their leader now.
Maplestar.
And I couldn't be prouder.
I see my other kits as well.
Flamefoot and Onespot.
They're both fine warriors.
I wish that the fourth had lived to become a warrior.

I didn't do right by those kits.
I left them fatherless.
I should've stayed.
But I can't take back what I've already said,
what I've already done.
All I can do is work harder in the future.
I hardly ever unsheath my claws.
I won't hurt another soul.
Not as long as there's still breath in this body.
