"Minuscule piece of dirt blowing around that you can't see right now?" He laughed lightly, fur blowing gently in the breeze as they ventured closer to SkyClan camp, "C'mon, love, I thought you could do better than that." Lionclaw teased with smile, amber eyes glowing with laughter that he contained with barely suppressed self-control. It was a random statement-- not what he entirely suspected from Aquasky but then again she could be random sometimes. Like him. The warrior flexed his claws as she swiveled her bright eyes back to his face, there he saw the same amusement to what he has said moments before. Her mouth opened and she replied with same same emotions he did.
"Oh dear... I think you need medical help."
He looked away for a few heartbeats, clamping his mouth together to stop the laughter, after getting a straight face he flicked his eyes back to her once more. "Its too late... There is nothing more that anyone can do... I've already been possessed, " Lionclaw murmured gravely before dropping his head with mock despair. She'd get a kick out of that. Lifting his head he quickened his pace since they were getting closer to the camp. His claws flexing with each step.
He ignored the little hint about him being stupid, as she went on and on about knowing when to inhale and exhale. "Okay, okay," the tom said exasperated, "You know how to breathe... supposedly." The camp began to come into view and he was getting ready to dart on ahead when she replied to him about his 'future.' Lionclaw stopped dead and slowly, menacingly, turning his head toward her. His eyes narrowed to slits and a low growl rumbling from within his throat.
Without warning he leaped forward to tackle her.
"I told you it had begun!" He snarled. "Say your prayers, squirrely!" Lionclaw snickered and for a swift moment amusement glittered in his eyes but it was quickly pushed aside. In a movement so quick he kicked dirt up to form a mini fog, not so much to make you cough but enough to get confused, and raced for the entrance to camp like a pack of wild badgers were chasing him. Calling over his shoulder as he went, "You had to have known that was coming!! I luvvvvvvvvv youuuuu!" He almost fell over right there at that.
Then he vanished.
Once inside camp, his eyes were wild with energy and laughter, with his breath ragged he dashed for the apprentice's den. As Lionclaw went he got a black look from Dawndust. Whatever. Scrambling to the back he crouched, silent, wanting to yowl in agonized laughter from the memories of her so innocent before then right after he had attacked her like a mad cat. He just had to do it. All that talk about him becoming once it was just driving him crazy-- it was the awesomest prank ever. Of course he might get beat up for it or congratulated for fooling her. Like that was a hard decision of what she was going to do.

Aquasky twitched as Lionclaw commented on how he had believed that she would be able to pull a better comeback than what she had given. In truth, she herself thought that her retort had been all right -- not exactly the best one, but it was something, wasn't it? Well, no matter. Not that she cared what Lionclaw thought. Rolling her eyes (for what seemed like the millionth time during the hunting patrol), she continued padding on, waiting for him to lay some more words on her ears, wondering what other emotions and responses she would have to display for him.
The she-cat gave a slight snort that hinted somewhat at laughter when he remarked that he had already been possessed, and that there wasn't any help for him left. Still, she didn't exactly know how to respond, so she just kept quiet, letting that conversation topic die down, as she hadn't exactly intended it to become a full blown out conversation with the tomcat. Yes, Lionclaw was probably still extremely annoying, but Aquasky was rather surprised to find that she was able to bear it... somewhat.
She had just been minding her own business as he had said some stuff about her breathing, padding along at a languid pace in the general direction of the SkyClan Camp. Normally she would be darting back to the Camp, as it was cold, but she didn't want Lionclaw to find something to tease her about in that. She herself could think of a million things he could possibly say:
"Well, I thought that squirrels were able to stand the cold, but I guess I've found one that can't!"
"You can run, squirrely, but you can't hide!"
"I guess that squirrel is one that can't bear to stand in the shadow of my ultimate glory."
Okay, sure. Maybe those were a little exaggerated, but she could surely see Lionclaw saying them. Still, honestly, Lionclaw was relatively predictable and you couldn't be absolutely sure about what he would say -- or do -- next. However, there was one fact that Aquasky knew to be true during this whole situation.
She would probably begin to dream about squirrels, as this talk about them was going to make her not be able to look at them the same way ever again.
Aquasky had just been padding along and thinking these thoughts, when suddenly her ears caught the sound of Lionclaw giving a low growl. Instantly alerted, she looked around, looking for any signs of danger. It occurred to her after a few moments that he could just be tricking her, but alas, it was too late, as she had thought this instantaneously to Lionclaw giving his battle cry of how it had all begun... or something. Turning around to confront him, she was surprised as she was tackled. Normally, she would've held her ground, but Lionclaw had had the element of surprise, and she somewhat staggered and stumbled around (almost in circles, if you thought about it geometrically), before regaining her balance. By the time she had gotten on all four feet correctly, she looked up only to find that there had been a slight dust kicked up, obstructing her view momentarily.
Ugh. Fooled by the mouse-brain. This certainly was degrading.
She heard his distant cries, and shook her head at them, a growl of her own rumbling in her throat. Oh boy. He would certainly pay for that. She wasn't going to tell Northstar about this, however -- that just seemed to... to... what? Immature, probably. She was a big she-cat. She could handle this on her own. Inhaling deeply and then exhaling it out as a sigh, she shook her head, a slight irritable side of her returning and gnawing at her temperament.
Taking a few paces and then lengthening them quickly, the she-cat was following the tomcat. How he had run that quickly and had still managed to not drop the prey... well, that was a mystery to her, as she herself was having some difficulty chasing after him while holding her fresh-kill firmly clamped in her jaw. The squirrel's scrawny tail kept on bumping in to her forelegs, and it was itchy.
Goodness, who knew that squirrels could be so annoying?
Haha. How funny. Not. the she-cat thought dryly to herself.
Nearing the entrance of camp, Aquasky slowed down, as she didn't want to suddenly dart in and knock some innocent bystander over. Moving forward, she made her way to the fresh-kill pile, tossing her own meager offerings before looking around, narrowing her eyes and scanning the area to see where Lionclaw was.
He was about to get punished -- and not by Northstar.
