It was quite a day, and even with his new-found companion, the long-legged young warrior wanted to clear some things up within himself. Thus, without the hustle-and-bustle of the camp, he found peace beside the licking tongues of the Lakeside. Peace was not easy for the foreign warrior, yet when all was at ease, he would grasp the tiny blade that dangled between chaos and peace.
Releasing a small sigh, the immensely tall warrior arched his neck downwards, casting his brilliant golden gaze to the grassy earth as he stepped closer to the ripples of waters. Massive black-tufted ears pricked forwards, the tawny tom walked with a slow and easy, exotic stride, powerful shoulder blades rolling back and forth with a lithe gait.
Eagledance thought for a long while, and soon the treetops became less dappled, and finally he came to a slow slope, slicked over with cold earth that was wetted by the lapping waters. An air of depression cloaked him, the exotic warrior's long, sleek tail hanging loosely by his strong heels.

S
ilverpaw trotted along side the lakeshore, her head held high and her pawsteps soft. Her icy blue eyes glittered from the sunlight and when she adverted them to the water she saw that it was gleaming. After a thoughtful moment, she paused at the water's edge. It splashed gently against the sandy shore then sunk back into the quiet, churning water in a slow movement.
The silver apprentice blinked slowly as a soft purr began to rumble in her chest. She followed the shoreline, unaware that she was close to the EarthClan border. Little did she know that the exotic warrior of the name Eagledance strode up ahead. Her small, silver paw crossed the invisable line then another until her tiny body was on the other side. Her pawstep slowed when she spotted a boulder perched over the water like a mother bird perching on the edge of her nest. In a swift, graceful movement her legs sprang and she found herself on the warm rock. Her paws carried her to the edge where she laid down, she tucked her paws under her chest as she gazed out into the beautiful water.

Discrimination, that's what it is. All of this time; never once have I not been judged. These wounds won't seem to heal. The golden warrior closed his eyelids halfway over his tawny eyes, body becoming sober as his placid expression died and birthed itself into sorrow. "There's just too much that time can't heal," he whispered.
His accent drifted to him from his reflection, speaking it back to him in perfect timing. Narrowing his eyes, he turned and saw the silver-tipped ears of another peering from the edge of the boulder getting licked by the panting river. He turned slowly, his long, elegant neck bringing the golden skin from his shoulders to his neck, revealing the powerful muscles that resounded from his shoulder blades. Eagledance cast his eagle-golden gaze to the she-cat, long ebony tufted-ears pivoting towards the unfamiliar apprentice.
As he looked upon her for a single, straight moment, he found that she was quite fragile looking. And at this moment, Eagledance realized that he had not seen her in EarthClan; possibly his mistake and distractions. Even now, he had not yet met all of the Clan members, and was not expecting that she was from anywhere else.

Silverpaw closed her eyes blissfully and breathed in the fresh air only to find that the strong scent of EarthClan blocked everything out. She got to her paws and flashed her frosty colored eyes around the shore. It seemed like the SkyClan lakeside, How could she have crossed? The silver apprentice's fur fluffed out from anxiousness but managed to flatten it from a few gentle rasps of her tongue. She turned and leapt off the rock only to come face to face with Eagledance. She had heard of him before, they say he is foreign and wierd but standing in front of him she couldn't understand why. Yes his pelt was different but he looked rather handsome. Her mind writhered in worry, did she just call a cat from another clan handsome? Even in her own mind? Silverpaw pushed the thoughts away franticly though she didn't show any emotion from the outside other than shame from being on SkyClan territory.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cross the border, i-it was an accident" she meowed quietly, her voice soft as kit-fur and as rich as honey. Silverpaw blinked her glittering eyes, searching Eagledance's eyes for a type of hostility. How could she be so mouse-brained? Especially now that this EarthClan warrior was here. The silver apprentice did take note to his strong muscules and again felt those strange thoughts plummet her mind like thorn sharp claws. What was wrong with her? Why did this have to happen /now/?

He turned and watched her leap off, quite stunned at her height when she did so; she could be one of his old BirthClan, if she had wanted do. With just a few dapples and spots to her, and of course with much sharper and wilder eyes, she'd do perfectly. However, as Eagledance skimmed this through in his mouse-brained-brain, he scolded himself. Well that was pointless, he thought, giving himself a mental beating.
The golden warrior arched his neck back, brows pulling together in slight concern. "Border?" he asked, his accent rich on his vocal chords. Massive lungs expanded, and suddenly his long tail began to prickle. "You're from SkyClan, aren't you?" he asked gently.
To him, if one were to cross the border upon accident, the cat would escort them to their Clan camp--that were the ways of his old Clan--or perhaps chase them off with a warning scratch. Indeed his old life was much more soldier-like, and to him, much tougher than this. Yet the foreign warrior found that this life was more likable and pleasing to his troubled mind.
Glancing her over, he swiveled a long ear to the side, his adept multi-tasking skills sharpened with the years of practice he had received during training.

"What a gorgeous day it is," Smokeheart meowed, gazing around and surveying the bare EarthClan forest behind them with the almost frozen lake in front of them. "But the beauty of the EarthClan territory can certainly not be compared with your beauty, my dear Lightbreeze," he added, using flattery as he spoke to the she-cat warrior.
"Smokeheart, please," Lightbreeze began, shaking her head mentally at Smokeheart's akwardness, "you have to realize that it's leaf-bare and that it's not a 'gorgeous' day as you put it." Lightbreeze, however, had to admit that while Smokeheart wasn't exactly the sharpest claw in the bunch, he was sweet.
Smokeheart opened his mouth to reply, but suddenly retreated behind a few trees that had relatively large trunks at the bottom, rooted into the frozen ground quite firmly. Lightbreeze, wondering why he was acting out such strange behavior, followed him back into the cover of the trees.
"What-" she began, but was quickly cut off by Smokeheart touching the tip of his tail to her mouth as a signal for her to quiet down and not say anything. He flicked his ears in the direction of two cats that Lightbreeze couldn't quite make out. Staring for a while at the figures, however, she recognized them as Eagledance of EarthClan, and a silver tabby she-cat apprentice whom she had never met, although the wind blowing carried the scent to be SkyClan.
Smokeheart nearly burst with malicious delight. There was a SkyClan cat here and Eagledance, the stupid little foreign EarthClan warrior, was making no move to banish or chase out the SkyClan cat! How dumb of him! Maplestar'll get a big kick out of this one! he thought to himself gleefully, continuing to watch Eagledance with the she-cat apprentice.

Silverpaw twitched her ear, "I am from SkyClan" the apprentice paused then added "I decided to go on a walk on my own and accidently came into into EarthClan territory when I was watching the water" her voice grew to a sorrowful whisper, now she would get it for sure. Her thoughts floated around a punishment. Would he chase her out? Or fight her? Or walk her back to camp like some kind of criminal? She had to surpress a shiver of horror. How embarressing that would be!
She shifted and in that moment the sunshine reflected off the water and onto her silver coat making it glow with brilliance, Silverpaw didn't seem to notice for she continued to work up punishements her leader might give her for tresspassing. Breaking the warrior code in other words.

"Ah," he replied thoughtfully. An air about her seemed remarkable; undeniably substantial and dreamy. She was beautiful, no doubt, and yet, he hated her in a way. His stomach fluttered , eyes widening as his pupils slitted, tail twitching anxiously.
"We need to get you back, then," he added, bending down from his tall legs and nudging her hastily with his dark gray nose. Swiftly he picked up his head, lifting his small paws as he moved in an exotic , light-footed trot around the border of the Lakeside. Eagledance kept both eyes behind him, small skull faced forwards as his piecing tawny eyes locked themselves behind, his sight falling into an anxious side-glance.
As the immensely tall warrior padded alongside the riverbank, he began to notice that he was rather anxious around the she-cat. Indeed his stomach would give him a slight prick of nausea whenever he glanced to her; and this feeling he had most certainly felt before, but not in this manner. It was stronger, much more defined. But upon meeting her the foreign, accented-warrior tom found himself tied between a thin string of immediate hatred and acquaintance for the young silver she-cat.

Silverpaw trotted beside him in delicate steps and with a soft breath spoke, "Are you taking me back to camp? If so, I can go alone" she spoke with as much politeness as she could muster together and faced Eagledance with glittering eyes. After a moment she murmured, "My name is Silverpaw for when you have to report this to Maplestar." An icy chill gripped her heart at the leader's name.
Her eyes flowed over the foreign warrior's features and found him rather tall, muscular, and handsome. The silver apprentice turned her gaze to her paws and cringed. She had felt this feeling just a little for Inkpaw before awkward Dreampaw fell in love with him and perhaps the same amount for Bravepaw when he admitted he loved her. Bravepaw. What would he say if he found out about these personal details? She told him she loved him in return but she didn't understand what she felt at the time. This feeling for Eagledance was stronger but entwined with danger. Different clans! a voice in her head yowled and raked her thoughts with sharp claws. Silverpaw winced as her heartbeat quickened when she stole another glance toward him.

Smokeheart moved stealthily along the trees, careful to stay within the shade and cover of them so that the two didn't know he was there. Lightbreeze, mystified at what Smokeheart was doing but not daring to ask him why, simply followed the smoky black tomcat as he followed Eagledance and the she-cat -- what had the she-cat said her name was? Silverpaw -- with a rather odd expression written across his face.
Silverpaw. So that's her name. Indeed this'll be an excellent report to give to Maplestar! Smokeheart thought to himself, an absolutely gleeful look crossing his face as he continued moving along through the trees, his keen ears pricked in Eagledance and Silverpaw's direction as to pick up any words they spoke together. He turned to her. "Oh, no darlin'. You need na start awa' with haste. I'll get a beatin' wi' the lead'r if I don't mind sayin' m'self. Y'know, don' backward cast yer e'e, Sil'rpaw." His accent was well thickened with the slang he and his comrades would chirrup in about, and as the golden tom cat felt quite comfortable with this she-cat, allowed himself to use it to it's extent.
Small, highly flexible tawny paws beat against the earth, cooling with the late Leaf-Fall that was bringing Bare-Leaf fast and quick upon their paws. Casting his piercing fiery eyes to the sky, the immensely long-legged feline suddenly felt his spine arch, shoulder blades tensing. Eagledance swiftly glanced backwards, ears pivoting in their sockets; one facing directly behind him and another facing to the side. All but suspicion and anxiousness crawled over him now, and soon the tom was seething with adrenaline.
Disobeying his own words he halted in his pawsteps, small skull snapping wildly around as his whiskers twitched irritably. "Keep quiet," he whispered, his voice thick with concern. "I con't say ex'actly where th' boundarie is, but we've got'a pick up th' pace. Must be a'round 'ere." As Eagledance's tongue wrapped around his long fangs correctly, his slang-ish accent dying away once haste enveloped him, the foreign warrior briskly nudged the apprentice's haunches, long legs taking in much more ground as he bound and leaped in a swift run, gait exotic and light as he moved swiftly and without a sound around the boundary of the two Clans' borders.

Silverpaw began to swiftly run beside the tomcat, trying hard to understand his accent. Her paws were silent as they moved over the sandy shore, she kept her senses alert and her whiskers fluffed out for any hint of danger. Was Eagledance trying to save her? Her mind whirled as her lithe body bounded faster to catch up with his long legs. As they reached the border her pawsteps slowed until she was stopped completely. Her frosty colored eyes glowed with graditude and she purred softly. "Thank you" she murmured then took a few steps so that she was on her own border.
She searched Eagledance's face to see if he was going to say anything more.

He was not yet fully sure if they had completely come out of what he suspected to be known as danger; he himself doubted that it had merely been a pheasant or a branch caught in the thinning foliage of the forest. Piercing eyes widened in draining fear, the foreign rusty-golden tom released a short breath in relief. He was becoming too paranoid--too safe and too concerned for his secrets for his own well-being.
As Eagledance glanced to the side, he brought his eyes to her as her silky voice caressed his thin, sleek coat. Eagle-like gaze softened, eyelids pulling down so that his face appeared at an affectionate placid state. The long-legged warrior smiled gently and gave a small bow, obsidian-tufted ears locking forwards. "You're welcome," he whispered back. "S'pose we'll meet 'gain, Sil'erpaw."

Delight made Smokeheart almost delirious. Immediately, as Silverpaw stepped over the border, he almost bolted away to tell Maplestar, but decided to remain where he was in case they exchanged more... pleasant words that he could add to his report to Maplestar when he got back to the EarthClan. In the midst of his glee, he barely remembered the fact that Lightbreeze was with him, wondering why on earth he was acting so. Confusion passed through the she-cat warrior's eyes, but she decided to remain quiet.

Wintersong walked along the lakeside, and her soft amber gaze acme upon Eagledance, and...Silverpaw! Wintersong walked up to them swiftly, her long ginger fur trailing around her, the suns setting rays giving her a fiery glow. "Hello Eagledance, hello, Silverper, was it? Did you stumble over the border by accident?" She mewed, trying to sound friendly, but her gaze was still fixed on Eagledance, her eyes gleaming with affection.
