The sky was rather dark and the moon floated high yet the two still sat at their special place, their fur coated with snow, "The Gathering should be starting right about now," the larger cat commented, his amber eyes gleaming in the faint light. The brown tabby tom's tail curled around the smaller cat's body in a protective manner and as this happened Oakheart pressed against Songbreeze, the she-cat he fancied so very much. A purr escaped him and he smiled.
"When do you think we should head back to camp?" Oakheart asked, a bit of mischief displayed on the features of his face, once the meow left his mouth he grinned toward her. The snow around them glittered beautifully; since they were inside the cave when it deceased they hadn't stepped onto the pathways ahead. So it was literally a sea of ivory, nothing disturbed it, not even prey.

Drifts of snow were sprawled out everywhere, a neverending world of white surrounding the whole entire area, blanketing it in a chilly icy feeling. Still, Songbreeze herself felt rather warm despite the cold inhabiting the area they were in, and she rested her head lightly on her paws, her pale green eyes staring out ahead in to the darkening forest. Even though the light was lacking, even the smallest amount of it managed to reflect off of the ivory colored snow.
"When should we getting back?" she repeated in a slightly amused tone. She wasn't even sure what was humorous in that statement; maybe it was the way Oakheart had said it? "When do you want to go back?" she asked, tilting her head slightly to the side as she awaited his response.
ooc; tell me about it. :x

"I'm not sure," Oakheart responded nonchalantly but still a grin shone on his face "Now perhaps? Later?" The tomcat suggested before pausing to shake his fur in rid of some of the frozen liquid clinging desperately onto it before adding, "we could go back into the cave and rest? Whatever you want to do, Songbreeze. "
He bent down and stretched luxuriously and closed his eyes blissfully as he did so, once he stood up again his eyes flickered over their surroundings before he sighed silently. What to do, what to do? He began to groom himself, rasping his salmon colored tongue lazily over his ruffled fur. It always seemed to be messy in his opinion.

Songbreeze regarded the question for a few moments. She turned her head even more so that she could get a view of Oakheart. Seeing that he was grooming his pelt, laughter sparkled through her eyes slightly. "Maybe after we get that oh-so very messy pelt cleaned up?" she asked with a few purrs of amusement resounding in her throat and emitting, a soft sound in the cold air.
"You know, you're going to be even colder after you groom yourself," she stated in a mock serious tone, lowering her head and giving Oakheart's ear a quick swipe of her tongue.

Oakheart twisted back around so that he faced Songbreeze, "Make fun of me now but just wait until my fur outdoes your's!" he joked before standing up with a smile on his face. "Let's roll," he meowed then lifted a paw and set it onto the snow, it was soft not icy and hard as it would probably be in the morning, flicking his tail he crouched and leapt into the fray. Spraying the white substance everywhere, for a few heartbeats the tomcat was no where to be scene until he leapt easily out of the small hole in the snow he made. "Cold," he commented.
Trotting happily over to Songbreeze he nudged her. "Care for a race? It'll be more difficult through the snow." Oakheart then added in a droning voice, "Unless of course you fancy a boring ol' stroll instead." He flicked her ear with his tail gently in amusement.

Songbreeze watched with a humoured look on her face as she saw Oakheart leap about in the snow for a few moments before returning to her. Before she responded to his question, she felt that she had to make a remark. "You looked like a little young kit romping through the snow for the first time. Except a kit would've drowned in that snow," she purred, her ears twitching slightly as she felt the flick from Oakheart's tail.
"As for a race..." Songbreeze hesitantly put a paw in the snow. It was cold, yes, but not too terrible, although by the time they got back to the EarthClan Camp, she knew that their paws would be extremely damp and chilled. At least, she knew, hers would be. "Hmm..." She pretended to be looking thoughtfully around, fake contemplating the subject.
Then, without warning, Songbreeze shot off in to the snow, darting off quickly. "A race? Sure!" she called over her shoulder, laughter weaving in and out of her voice.

Oakheart purred at her first comment and waited for her to decide on racing when suddenly the she-cat shot off! He blinked a few times in surprise before the tomcat sprang to his paws and pounded after Songbreeze, "Rawr! Run from me, my prey!"
The tomcat unsheathed his claws, digging them into the snow beneath him, he was right when he spoke about the snow. Running through it was harder to do then solid ground, lashing his tail he pumped his muscles harder, keeping Songbreeze's tail intact. "Can't run forever, my pretty!" he called, his voice tight with a laughter, his breath billowing.

"Wanna bet?" Songbreeze called back in a teasing tone, her words coming out in short tones, due to the fact that she was running quite fast and that it wasn't easy to speak while your system was engaged at dashing at a speed that could be used for running for your life during an emergency. Her eyes were sparkling with a delighted glow as she continued her trek across the flakes of icy snow, her paws sinking right in in the midst of it all.
Suddenly, Songbreeze stumbled and tripped over a fallen branch, sending her frame tumbling in the snow. When she finally stopped, she lifted her head, shaking the snow that covered her pelt almost to the point of where she would look like a white cat instead of her normal tri-colored pelt. She blinked a few times rapidly, a dazed expression on her face. Then, when she realized what she had done, purrs of laughter attacked her and she fell back, rolling over on to her back, the purrs coming continuously.

Oakheart had been running after Songbreeze when he saw her trip and disappear from his view, at once alarm spread through his body that gave him a boost of energy, which he used to leapt forward. "Songbreeze?" the tabby meowed into the dawn light, his fur prickling as he scanned the undergrowth below him, since the she-cat was covered with snow he couldn't see her. Oakheart quickly scrambled down the little hill, "Songbreeze?" he inquired cautiously.
Soon he felt snow spray his pelt and he whipped his head around to see the pretty she-cat rolling on the ground, Oakheart padded forward watching her thrashing in happy amusement. The tabby tom stood there watching her for a bit but she never stopped purring. Finally he meowed, "Now, now miss, gotta get up now before them purrs choke yeh, dun want that happening, hm?" A little bit of his accent taking over his meow, the tomcat smiled at her.
Oakheart blinked before bending down and gently grabbing her scruff, he brought her up to her paws, "You okay?" he asked playfully before rasping his tongue over her head. Then, without warning he sped away, "Catch me, if yeh can!" the tabby called over his shoulder as he departed.

A good-natured gleam remained in the she-cat's pale green eyes, the purrs beginning to slow down as she caught her breath. Following Oakheart's advice and having her purrs relent, Songbreeze steadied herself after the tomcat had put her back on to her paws, giving herself a slight shake to brush the snow off of her pelt. With an acted-out air of dignity, Songbreeze took a few pawsteps forward that were elegant and well-placed as if she were some high-up and snooty she-cat who came from some royal descent or something.
When she heard the tomcat's words calling for her to chase after him, Songbreeze immediately lengthened her strides, darting quickly through the woods, determined this time to not trip and fall in the snow again, although it had been rather nice with all the lightness and fluffiness of the frozen flakes. "Whatever you say, slowpoke!" she meowed in response, an amused look dancing through her eyes as delight rippled through her as she ran after the tomcat.
ooc; Icky. Can't quite think of anything to write.

O a k .x. h e a r t darlin'.ain't.nuthin'.to.worreh.'bout.[/right] The brown feline's fur blew in the cold wind as he charged across the frozen wonderland, his amber eyes blazed confidently, all at once he stopped rather abruptly and ended up falling on his flank. Oakheart let out a soft hiss of annoyance before springing to his paws, "Songbreeeeeze!!" the warrior called the pretty she-cat's name. How could I have forgotten? Eagledance is probably out there waiting for me right now!! Oakheart shuffled his paws nervously until he couldn't take it, the tomcat scrambled back through his tracks, his paws moved rather clumsily as he anxiously made his way back to his friend. As he galloped through the thick snow, his companion came back into view, "Songbreeze!" Oakheart panted coming to a stop in front of her. The tom's heart pounding from the long run, "Darlin', surry but I gotta go, I forgot'n whut 'Agledance asked meh earlier. I haffta meet 'im sumwhere..." He rasp his salmon tongue over her ear is a swift, soothing gesture. "Surry," he apologized again, "an' byeee!!" Oakheart turned right around and dashed back, pounding through the ivory sea once more, the warrior stumbled along until he came to the entrance to EarthClan camp. He gasped for breath for a few heartbeats before turning onto the direction of the lakeside and racing along its path. Oakheart could feel his heart and body crying out for him to stop but he had to get to Eagledance. He had made him wait long enough!! What kind of friend was he? I can be such a mousebrain sometimes! Eagledance had asked me before I went out with Songbreeze if I could go to the lakeside with him. He needed another cat to be with him because of that darn punishment that no good tomcat decided to tell Maplestar. Eagledance is my closest friend! I know that black cat must have exaggerated it! I'm sure my friend didn't do anything serious! I'm guessing he went out for a bit and accidentally ran into that pretty apprentice, Silverpaw. I hope things turn out well in the end... I wonder why he wanted to meet at the lake shore. I suppose he might explain once I arrive...

Songbreeze looked up at the call of her name in the sound of Oakheart's own unique timbre. She gave a slight nod when she heard his quick and slightly apologetic explanation. "That's fine," she meowed calmly, pale green eyes inhabited by a slight look of amusement as she watched the tomcat go from his normally laid-back state to being flustered as he dashed off to go meet with Eagledance.
Hmmm. I wonder why, though. Her shoulders twitched slightly in an upward motion, suggesting somewhat at a shrug as she tilted her head to the side, watching the tomcat disappear in the pearly white snow that blanketed the forest. Turning her head, she gave her pelt a few licks with her rough, pink tongue, the moisture of her tongue smoothing her pelt out, much in contrast to her former disheveled appearance as she had played around in the snow with Oakheart.
Well, now that Oakheart had left to go, no doubt, give advice to his friend on goodness knows what matter, Songbreeze stood for a few moments in the alabaster snow, admiring the way that it shimmered on all the different amounts of foliage that surrounded and made up the EarthClan Forest.
With a rather resigned sigh, the she-cat stood up and began padding back in the direction of the EarthClan Camp, eager to get warm.
