"Hi", Ravenfeather mewed happily towards his mother, letting out another purr of being with Azelealeaf as he looked tenderly at her. Ravenfeather looked back to his mother to find a glimmer of amosement in her eyes. "What's so funny, may I ask?" Ravenfeather purred, amusement now filling his own silver-blue gaze.

"Don't tell her how you feel just yet. Try to just be friendly with her at first, then eventually, when you think the time is right, tell her." Honeypaw whispered back the th white pelted warrior. She looked over his features and found that he was actually quite handsome. Honepaw wasn't surprised that Mai didn't love him, for it was way too soon--she just got to the camp today. But soon enough, they should be together.

Oceanwing seated herself in front of the two cats, cocking her head to the side as she regarded them for a few moments before she responded, amusement still hinting in her eyes as she continuously reminded herself of the contrast of their pelts. "It hurts the eyes to look at you two," she meowed, although it was in a good-natured tone rather than an insulting one, her tone of voice making it even so that Azalealeaf saw the joke instead of the hurtful side of it that Oceanwing wasn't trying to say.
Azalealeaf let out two purrs; one with affection weaving in and out of it in response to Ravenfeather's, another filled with amusement to answer Oceanwing's comment. She looked at Ravenfeather's mother, a sense of anxiousness suddenly flooding through her. What did Oceanwing think of her? Was she a favorable choice for Oceanwing's son, Ravenfeather, whom she held dear? Or would Oceanwing oppose of the two cat's choices?

Cloudpuff nodded to show his understanding to Honeypaw's words of advice. "Thanks," he meowed quietly, just audible enough for the she-cat apprentice to hear. He looked back at Mai, and suddenly found himself thinking thoughts that he had thought when he had once loved Dreampaw. When he had liked Dreampaw, he hadn't given a thought to how his pelt looked; he had only cared about how she looked. Now that Mai was within the Camp, he felt a bit more self-conscious -- he wanted to please her in every single way. He raised his gaze up to meet her bright azure one, purring when she didn't look away. "Mai," he meowed, "should we go to Northstar to ask her about your stay here in SkyClan?"
Mai flinched rather uncomfortably, but remained still otherwise as she met Cloudpuff's gaze. "Sure," she answered in a quiet voice, not knowing exactly how else to answer Cloudpuff's question. It was true that she felt rather... akward all of a sudden as Cloudpuff looked at her. She almost believed that her heart skipped a beat and she was filled with a warm sensation at his gaze, but why? Honeypaw's eyes lit up when she saw Mai looking rather confused. She must be falling in love with Cloudpuff She thought. She wondered when Mai's naming ceremony would be. That is, if she decided to stay.
"So, what do you think of Azelealeaf?" Ravenfeather asked his mother. "Besides the fact that our pelts hurt cats eyes?" He added, laughter in his voice.

Cloudpuff kept his gaze fixed on Mai. "Mai, would you like to accompany me to go and visit Northstar," he paused for a moment to flick his ears in the direction of the SkyClan leader incase Mai had forgotten, "to schedule your naming ceremony in the Clan?" He looked at Mai, waiting for her response. The way he had built his sentence made it seem like Mai would be staying in the Clan, but Cloudpuff couldn't help but wonder if Mai /would/ remain here in SkyClan. Had he been too bold? Was she scared of him now?
To Cloudpuff's obvious relief, Mai responded with a deep nod, attempting to hide her eyes from Cloudpuff's gaze. Cloudpuff simply took that sign as shyness; indeed on Mai's part, it was. Cloudpuff stood up, flicking his tail for Mai to follow. "We'll be back," he meowed to Honeypaw and Mistheart to make sure that they didn't feel as if he and Mai were deserting them.
The white pelted tomcat warrior quickly made his way to the she-cat leader, who, by the looks of it, was deep in thought and rather... troubled. Ignoring that fact, he looked at his leader intently. "Northstar," he meowed in greeting, Mai seated next to him, greeting the SkyClan leader who had agreed to her entry into the Clan with a dip of her head.

Azalealeaf rather stiffened with anxiousness as she heard of Ravenfeather's question adressed to his mother, but tried to remain as calm and placid on the outside. She looked nervously from Ravenfeather to his mother, Oceanwing, trying to tell her feelings. Oceanwing's emotions, however, never showed on her face -- something that had taken many moons to master.
Azalealeaf relaxed, though, when Oceanwing sent a good-natured and a kind glance in her direction. "If she's worthy of your love, she's worthy enough for my liking, as is any she-cat that my son's affections might befall upon. Inkpaw's situation," Oceanwing meowed, referring to her other son, "was a little unstable, but I believe it's beginning to clear up now, and if Dreampaw's worthy of Inkpaw's affections, then Dreampaw is also worthy of me thinking well of her." Suddenly I'm not so young.
The voice of the tom cat aroused her, though not fully at once. It took a moment, a few blinks, before the sleek, cream-coated leader picked up her head. Blinking he r dulled emerald eyes open, the she-cat flicked her peach-hued ears towards the pair. Whiskers stuck out straight, licking the air that was surrounded by the invisible deceased warrior sitting next to her. His presence was sensed by the leader, and it haunted her to the uttermost point of encasing her small lungs in a thin envelope of fear.
It was not the feeling that he was there, because to her he was in StarClan still, waiting for her next visit. Merely she had a sense that he was still there; still alive. She swallowed. No, of course not, she thought with a grimace. All Northstar was feeling was the weight of the anniversary, one year from this time of year. Yes, it's the wounds.
Turning to the ivory warrior and the new kittypet, she blinked slowly, eyes widening as she regained focus. "What is it, Cloudpuff?" Northstar asked cooly.

It pained him, hurt him, stabbed him to see her like this. The obsidian warrior swallowed and released a small, sorrowful gasp, mandible unhinged in agony.
"Northstar, oh, Northstar," he whispered, pressing his thick onyx coat against her beautifully-marked cream and peach coat. Brows contorting painfully, Moonrun let his emotions tighten his throat.
"Why can't you hear me?"

Something was wrong with Northstar, something that wouldn't go away and wouldn't be cured with time. Cloudpuff looked at his leader with a worried and concerned expression lining his features, but he decided not to question the she-cat leader about it lest she get agitated with him. "Well," he began, not exactly knowing how to begin, "we were wondering about what you said earlier, with Mai joining the Clan if her fighting skills were good by moonhigh..." He paused for a moment, turning his head to look at Mai with his golden copper gaze. Without turning it from the she-cat kittypet, he asked, "I believe she has the correct ability to become a warrior." With that, he turned towards his leader, looking intently at her.
Mai shyly met Cloudpuff's gaze, finally able to meet its golden depths with her own sapphire blue eyes, although she did shift rather uncomfortably. After a while of trading glances with Cloudpuff, it was Mai that looked away first, looking at Northstar and waiting for the leader of SkyClan's response.

Rosepetal moved about Camp in a rather languid manner, having nothing else better to do. She looked around through azure colored eyes, gazing about to see if she could do anything worthwhile. Perhaps she could join a patrol or something, but Northstar, the she-cat leader of SkyClan, appeared to be busy speaking with Cloudpuff, the white pelted warrior, and... whow as that beside him? Looking around for a warrior to ask, she spotted Aspenwind, the mother of the apprentice who had a brilliant bright green gaze... what was his name? Viridianpaw? Sheesh! Why did the English language have so many fancy words? It seemed as if every single time she learned a new word, another word she would have to learn later became invented.
"Quien... I mean, who is that warrior next to Cloudpuff?" the she-cat warrior asked as she made her way up to Aspenwind. She looked intently at her fellow she-cat warrior, but broke her gaze for a few moments to turn and give her white pelt a few licks with her rough pink tongue before returning her attention back onto Aspenwind.
"You mean you haven't heard, Rosepetal?" Aspenwind asked, surprised that the white pelted warrior hadn't caught the news that had spread almost like wildfire about the SkyClan Camp. When Rosepetal shook her head and looked at the ground with a rather embarrassed look, Aspenwind continued on out of sheer pity for the misinformed she-cat. "That's Mai, a she-cat kittypet that Foxflower brought in to SkyClan," she meowed with a flick of her ears in Mai's direction. "It's been said that Cloudpuff's taken a... fancy to her," she added, amusement flickering in her eyes.

Flamefoot stayed quiet for a moment or two, her tongue sticking out of her mouth, having paused in her grooming. She thought about what Icefoot had said. True, Northstar accepted Mai, and true, Cloudpuff was normally a good warrior with good sense. "I'm not apologizing," Flamefoot meowed stubbornly. "But I'll put up with her."
She gestured to the ground next to her. "Would you like to join me?" she asked. She shifted so she was sitting, facing the handsome tom, her amber gaze even.

Icefoot wanted to persist until Flamefoot agreed to apologize to her friend, but decided not to push it for now. At least it was a start, and besides, the spot with Flamefoot looked rather inviting and warm, not to mention comfortable. "Sure," Icefoot responded in a carefree tone, settling down in the spot that the ginger colored she-cat warrior had invited him to. Swiping his tail around and quickly flicking Flamefoot's ears lightly, he asked her in a serious tone, "You /do/ promise to give it some thought to treat Mistheart in a... civil manner, right?" While Flamefoot and Mistheart didn't have to be best buddies right away, Icefoot /did/ want them to not walk around Camp with a feeling as if one wanted to sink their claws into the other. Flamefoot purred good-naturedly as Icefoot's tail flicked her ears. The purr died in her throat as he continued. "I'll think about it," she meowed loftily. "S'long as she doesn't leave me behind for that kittype- for Mai." She glanced at the new member of SkyClan, trying to push away the feeling of resentment. Mai- an ex-kittypet- could stay, but her own father who had been a rouge and who had been used to forest life couldn't? The young ginger would never forgive the unknown tom for that.
Deciding to take her mind off that, Flamefoot hesitantly stretched her neck towards Icefoot's shoulder and groomed him for a second or two. She yawned slightly but continued, purring softly.

Well, at least Flamefoot would think about it. Icefoot decided yet again not to interrogate the she-cat warrior until she finally gave him her consent about either apologizing to Mistheart or forgiving the warrior; lest he lose the warmth and the comfortable position that she was giving him currently.
He couldn't help but let out a purr as Flamefoot groomed his pelt for a few moments, even though she had started out rather hesitantly. "So... How's it been going?" he asked after a few moments, trying to make talk within the silence that surrounded them as he turned his own head, rasping his tongue lightly over Flamefoot's ear as he awaited her response. Flamefoot purred. "It's as good as it can get," she meowed, shrugging slightly. "Onespot seems busy with Honeypaw all of a sudden and isn't as much of a grumpy mouse-brain anymore. I guess I've been doing well as a warrior, since I was able to go to the last Gathering. I met up with Mistheart's brother again. He's such a strange cat. He's nothing like her. He's skinny, has huge ears, long legs and tail, and he's black. Completely opposite build-wise, like you and me pelt-wise." She grinned at the tom and groomed his ears.

"But what about you? Anything new with you? New hunting technique, new friend...?" Icefoot asked. He hesitated for a moment, thinking over what he was going to add. "New crush?" he added, then quickly decided to put after that to cover it up, "new apprentice thoughts or hoes?"
