A bright golden waves rose off a creature sprawled out in the sand, his eyes half closed and his muscles flexing beneath his pelt. A yawn escaped his muzzle as he stretched luxuriously among the sand; obviously it was none other than Lionclaw. He slowly got up; giving his shoulder a swift lick then let his amber gaze flow over SkyClan camp. The handsome tomcat blinked lazily and unsheathed and sheathed his claws with boredom, the sun was high in the sky though the wind rushed upon his clanmates in excited whooshes.
Lionclaw glared as the strong breeze that had just ruffled his pelt, and he quickly smoothed it down again with rasps of his salmon colored tongue. No he wasn’t the crazy cat that was obsessed with the smallest thing, he was the laidback thinking every she-cat in both his clan and the clan of the earth loved him sort of cat. Popularity meant much to him for it was the one thing he clutched to since of course he was in the teenager like stage, around 18 moons.
The tomcat sighed, enough of laying around, time to do something. His tail curled with confusion as he spotted the previous kittypet, Mia and beside her Cloudpuff. The name of the warrior put a grin on his face, who would want to have ‘puff’ at the end of their name? His ears twitched once he realized the way the ivory warrior was looking at Mia, with this affectionate twinkle in his eye. Padding after the kittypet was he? How "different." After a moment his thoughts flickered away to something else. He hadn’t had anything to eat, before dawn he had gave three voles as a contribute. He thought a few heartbeats then padded forward and picked up a sparrow and brought it to his sandy spot, he laid down with his paws tucked under his chest and took a small bite deciding to savor the fresh-kill unlike something he would do.

Featherpaw padded into camp, her dappled silvery-gray pelt gleaming in the winter sunlight She skimmed the camp for any sight of Dawndust, her blue-gray eyes twinkling with a gleam of affection. She didn't see him, so she walked over to the fresh-kill pile, and bumped into Lioncaw. He looked rather pleased with himself, and Featherpaw rolled her eyes; Lionclaw was so concieted and big-headed, and he was such a flirt. "Hey, Lionclaw," she said before taking a scawny looking mouse delicatley in her teeth, gleaming a pearly white as she took the mouse.

A light golden tomcat slipped easily out of the warriors' den, for a split-second one could mistaken this warrior for Lionclaw but alas no. This was his brother, the one that wasn't full of himself, the more gentle cat. His name was Dawndust, brilliant green eyes flickered over the SkyClan camp before he decided to get some fresh-kill, he saw Featherpaw was rummaging around it and as he came forward she got out a skinny mouse. The sky above him was rather wintry.
"Hello, Featherpaw" he meowed in greeting before neatly plucking a thrush from the bunch and settled down by a tree farther away. Soon after he was almost finished with his meal Lionclaw came over to him with a grin on his face. "If its gossip, I don't actually care," Dawndust told him sharply. Lionclaw gave his usual amber glare before dumping right into his so called "non-gossip-story" which annoyed Dawndust very much indeed.
"... So there is news that Cloudpuff" Lionclaw smirked at the name since he had always found it rather amusing, Dawndust did too but he wasn't that straight about it "fancies Mai, a soft little kittypet then an actual SkyClan she-cat. I thought he was off after Dreampaw but Bravepaw told me a few days ago that his attitude changed completely toward her and-" he was cut off as Dawndust rolled his eyes and looked away with frustration on the features of his face. "You don't find this funny? Well, then again you are you."
Dawndust shook his head, "I would tell you not to start passing meows around camp about Cloudpuff, Mai, and all the other Clanmates here but I know you wouldn't listen to me" his brother nodded his head as if to agree though the grin wouldn't wipe off his face, "you can annoy me so much with your stupidity."
After a several heartbeats of glaring at him he broke the their eyes and continued to eat his prey with a muttering of 'lousy furball' or as Lionclaw thought he heard. "You know, brother, you just wish you were me" he called over his shoulder as he departed with quite a strut. Dawndust bit back a sharp retort for what Lionclaw said was somewhat true. He did want to be Lionclaw instead of his boring self. The tomcat would just change the conceited, bigheaded idiot into his personality. His brows furrowed slightly, no because if he did he would be his boring self again, right? Dawndust blinked in confusion before getting rid of the remains of his scraggly meal and getting into a comfortable sitting position.

The figure of a golden tabby she-cat pricked her ears as she neared two tomcat warriors, an expressionless look on her face. Soon, however, as he heard what one of the tomcats had to say, that look darkened to a frustrated and irritated look, not to mention having a mix of pure hatred and venom in it. All in all, this was a look of anger.
"A soft little kittypet?" Aquasky hissed, whipping around, her blue eyes -- the source of her name -- flashing with anger and bitterness. "How dare you call Mai a kittypet when you yourself are no better than a mouse-brained, stupid little... idiotic... FOOL!" she spat, her ears tilting back and pressing against her cranium, a sure sign that she was... er... angry.
Aquasky's golden colored fur bristled and her tail lashed against the ground in a harsh manner, almost penetrating the frozen over ground, causing an imprint to occur in the midst of the white frozen liquid known as snow.

Featherpaw sighed dreamily as Dawndust said hello to her. She odded to him, and followed him a couple of steps. "Erm, Dawndust?" she mewed, her voice shaking ever so slightly. "D-do you want to go hunting with me later?"

The calamities of a few days before were just a distant memory now, along its trek to forgetfulness. There was a certain type of philosophy in the world, one that truly made sense at times: don't wallow in the past, don't live for the future -- live in the present. Take your life as it comes to you and make no objections.
This was one of the concepts that Cloudpuff was currently pondering over as he shared a small piece of fresh-kill with Mai, his golden copper eyes on the brink of shining with a slight glimmer of tenderness as he felt her lithe limbs shift underneath her cream-colored pelt when she lowered her head slightly to take a dainty bite out of the flesh of the small mouse.
As the she-cat leaned in to take another bite, the ivory colored tomcat turned his head to gaze at her, a purr trembling lightly in his throat, emitting from his vocal chords. His gaze was soft and tender, yet he was careful not to overdo it in case he should by accident drive her away from him by the intensity of his emotions.
This thing of love at first sight. Cloudpuff, at first, had believed that nothing of the sort had happened. How he had been proved wrong, however. Now he knew exactly what it felt like -- to feel the premonition of just laying eyes on someone for the first time and somewhere in your mind, it clicks that that is the one special someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Suddenly, Mai turned her head with a silenced exclamation. Her sapphire blue gaze locked with his, and Cloudpuff attempted to look away out of embarrassment out of being caught by her, but he felt himself captivated once again by her eyes. Many other cats had blue eyes and some even had a mixture of different colors in their eyes, yet Mai's eyes were the ones that caught his attention the most.
All of a sudden, Cloudpuff pushed his muzzle forward and touched it briefly to Mai's, before pulling back and reprimanding himself furiously in his mind. Why had he done that? Why had he let his passion overcome his control? Why? His gaze flickered worriedly to Mai's face, hoping and praying to StarClan with all his might that she wouldn't back away from him or lose trust in him.
Mai was filled with an entire mixture of emotions when Cloudpuff made his action. Her muzzle somewhat tingled with a pleasant feeling, but she wasn't quite sure. Confusion lit her eyes as she met gazes with Cloudpuff again. "Cloudpuff...?" she murmured softly, in a rather questioning tone.
The she-cat from Japanese descent watched curiously as Cloudpuff's expression had a slight hint of horror at it. Even more bewilderment entered her own emotions -- why was he horrified at the fact that he had touched his muzzle to hers? Did he have some she-cat here in SkyClan already? Doubts plagued Mai's mind, but she continued to wait.
"I-I-I'm sorry, Mai," Cloudpuff meowed. Now it was his turn to stutter and stammer out words before he finally hit upon the right ones to say. "It's just... well, I can't quite explain it, but I'm sorry if you didn't want me doing that," he added. To some extent, that was an apology, if you could decipher it right.
Relief flooded through Mai, although she wasn't quite sure why. At least she knew that he hadn't been doing something against his will or something. A sudden realization entered her mind, one that she had heard from other she-cats in SkyClan, but had never really thought about until now. This tomcat, Cloudpuff, was... was... in love with her.
Part of her wanted to return Cloudpuff's action of affection, but Mai wasn't exactly quite sure how, having never had a cat in love with her. How could it have happened so quickly? "It's... all right, Cloudpuff," she settled, although she could tell by Cloudpuff's expression that this wasn't quite the answer he had been wanting. Still, he reacted with a nod and went in for another bite of the meager bit of fresh-kill.

Viridianpaw sat there, feeling rather delighted at the fact that Pebblepaw was seated next to him, their pelts brushing so that they shared warmth in the midst of the cold night. He turned his head slightly so as to get a view of the she-cat, although he was scared of her turning her own head and meeting his gaze and then thinking him some kind of weird cat stalker for doing so. All of a sudden, Viridianpaw felt as if he needed to get out of Camp. He needed a walk to clear his emotions. Yet, he didn't really want to do it at night alone, so what better than to ask Pebblepaw to go with him? His thoughts were thrown in to turmoil as they tread upon this unknown area. Before he could think of what was coming out of his mouth, however, it just came out.
"P-P-Pebblepaw, d'youwangowalkwitme?"
God, he had not just said that. He had not just slurred those words out of anxiety. He had not just done that. Nope. No. Viridianpaw refused to believe it. If it were a possibility for cats to blush, Viridianpaw's whole face -- and maybe his whole body too, down to his tail -- would've turned a brilliant bright crimson color, equivalent to that of a human's blush when they did something exceedingly embarrassing.
Worry teetered on its edge in Viridianpaw's mind, as he awaited Pebblepaw's response to his rather disfigured question. To his relief, Pebblepaw had somehow understood.
"Sure," she responded in a light tone as if Viridianpaw had asked her a question that she understood perfectly well. In truth, Pebblepaw hadn't exactly understood of half of Viridianpaw's words, but she knew for certain that whatever Viridianpaw asked her wasn't something that would kill her.
"All right," Viridianpaw responded, his voice barely above a whisper as he stood up. He breathed in deeply before beginning to pad off towards the exit of the SkyClan inhabitance, hoping with all his might that Pebblepaw was with him. For a moment, Pebblepaw's pelt seperated from brushing against his and he felt the force of the cold night air. Drawing a sharp breath, he risked a glance back at Pebblepaw. Was she not following? Doubt flickered across his face, but it was soon replaced by assurance as he felt Pebblepaw's pelt brushed once again against his.

Onespot emerged from the warrior's den, bored out of his mind with that den. He trotted out to the center of camp and looked around. Where was Honeypaw? She hadn't gone to the Gathering right. No, she hadn't, but Flamefoot had. He wondered how that was going. The last one was interesting... So much had happened then... Maybe something like that was continuing? The white and ginger tom looked around, still looking for the apprentice. She might just be asleep...

Ice blue eyes scanned the area of the SkyClan Camp, padding back and forth with a slight bit of restlessness and impatience tinting his demeanor as he kept glancing up, awaiting for the familiar sight and scent of the ginger furred cat he had admitted his affection for earlier. His ears twitched with every sound, wondering if he would even be able to distinguish her pawsteps from the others.
"I wonder what's keeping her," Icefoot remarked, tilting his head to the side to look up at the sky. He sat back on his haunches, his tail curling around himself and resting atop of his paws. His silvery pelt gleamed in the light overhead, random tufts of fur sticking out in all directions. Well, that was how most of the fur of cats belonging in SkyClan looked, due to the harsh winds that blew nonstop. He hadn't exactly taken the time to groom himself and even though he had let his affections known to Flamefoot, it would just be too weird to all of a sudden act all gentlemanly and always groom his pelt. Besides, she probably wouldn't like that.
Loving somebody was hard.

Onespot glanced over at Icefoot as the tom groomed. "Hello," he said pleasantly. He wasn't sure how he felt about the tom at the moment- he knew that Flamefoot and Icefoot had gotten friendly earlier and as her only sibling Onespot was very protective of her- but he would be polite. Icefoot was a good warrior and Onespot figured he deserved some respect. "Nice evening, isn't it? I bet the Gathering's going well." He trained his eyes on the sky, glancing at the moon.

Icefoot immediately froze as he recognized who the voice came from. Onespot? Flamefoot's brother? Oh no. Was Onespot planning on hating him or something for liking his sister? Icefoot whipped around, at the ready to defend himself if needed. However, he saw that Onespot didn't have his claws unsheathed, so the tomcat relaxed slightly.
"Well, at least, StarClan doesn't seem unhappy," Icefoot responded, his voice somewhat tight and strained with anxiousness.

Onespot nodded, turning to look back at Icefoot with a long calculating look. Suddenly he blurted it out, the question that had been nagging at the back of his mind since Flamefoot had told him.
"You're not going to hurt her are you?"
His eyes were almost fearful. His sister was one of the most precious things in the world to him- next to his beloved Honeypaw- and if something happened to her, he wouldn't know what he'd do.

Well, at least Flamefoot's brother wasn't resorting to violence methods. This relieved Icefoot somewhat, but there was still a slight tenseness in his manner of speaking and his demeanor of his muscles underneath his pelt, which gleamed rather well in the large abundance of moonlight that reached the earth's land, its double shimmering in the black lake down bleow.
"Of course I'm not going to hurt her. If anything, you might want to be worried about her hurting me," Icefoot meowed, a slight hint of amusement glimmering in his eyes, slightly astonished at himself that he was able to come up with a sense of humor even now, when he was extremely anxious at how Onespot, Flamefoot's brother, would reaacct to this information of him and Flamefoot.

Lionclaw glanced back at the enraged she-cat known as Aquasky, he gave her a grin before meowing, "Right, cool, whatever," he purred in amusement before he brushed his golden fur against her side and strutted away with his tail held high along with his elegant head. Amusement and superiority glittered in his waking and pawsteps as he moved.
Dawndust padded over to Aquasky about to tell her something when he heard a littler meow behind him. He turned his head away, his ear twitching to locate the sound, finally his emerald eyes rested on Featherpaw. He studied her facial features to see her eyes were clouded a little with anxiousness, was it? He noted how her voice shook slightly as she asked him the question. Hunting? Dawndust found it rather odd that an apprentice was asking him hunting but being the placid, nice cat he was he replied, "Hm, I wouldn't mind actually. I just hope the prey will be out an about in this weather." The golden tomcat flicked her ear gently with his tail before blinking his viridian eyes and turning to Aquasky. "Don't mind him- or try to that is- Aquasky. He just has a really bighead, I'm surprised how he can even get up in the morning with something so big fitting on his shoulders," He politely brushed his cheek alongside her golden fur, similar to Lionclaw's and his own before turning away and making his way to a sandy part of camp. Hopefully it had some warmth from the sun's weak rays, with a sigh he rested himself on it, pleased it was rather warm.

Onespot let out a soft sigh of relief, then a small chuckle. "I guess you're right," he meowed. "She can be a bit hot-headed at times. Not a surprise why our mother named her Flamekit at the time." His mind a bit at ease, he settled down again, glancing back up at the stars.
He slowly lowered himself down until he was crouched close to the ground, then rolled onto his side. "When'd you start?" he asked, his eyes closed. "Liking her I mean." He wanted to get to know Icefoot a little better, and learn what Icefoot had been like before he had told Flamefoot. Onespot didn't talk to many cats before that day. He had seen no need to, and lacked any will to.
