Featherpaw smiled at Dawndust's answer. "Okay," she mewed, and followed him to a sandy patch in SkyClan, and sat down next to him.

Icefoot considered the question for a few moments, not exactly quite sure on how to answer it. After a bit more of silence, he had his answer somewhat thought up. "Well," he meowed hesitantly, "I guess I've always been fond of her. Maybe it's because opposites supposedly attract or something." He tilted his head to the side, thinking over his response. His gaze shifted uneasily to Onespot, unsure of how the tomcat would reacct to his words.
In truth, when had he started becoming relatively... fond of Flamefoot? The question burrowed deep in his mind, making him think hard for the first time in a while.

The golden tomcat rested on the warm sand, Dawndust's eyes closed in bliss when a noise distracted him, the sound of tiny pawsteps. His eyes flickered open to see Featherpaw, she had just seated herself next to him, being an older cat he let his eyes closed. She didn't want to go hunting /now/ did she? He was too sleepy to do anything currently, his tail flicked slighty in annoyance but he quickly stopped it so that the apprentice didn't notice.
The warrior was very much aware how she seemed to attract to him, it was obvious actually how she seemed to like him a lot. It just seemed strange to Dawndust when she'd fallow him around and all. His ear twitched and he let out a silent sigh of sleepiness as he lay there.
After a few slow moments of enjoying the warmth Dawndust finally rasped, "When are we going anyways, Featherpaw?" He meowed with a slightly distracted voice as he looked over the camp again seeing if anyone else was willing to go with them. Aquasky was stilling standing where he left her and Lionclaw was strutting about as usual. Idiot. One day he was going to get bitten back for acting so stupid around everyone. Stupid, stupid Lionclaw. Perhaps Aquasky wanted to go or Onespot or Icefoot, he stifled a yawn as he thought sluggishly.

Featherpaw's face fell as Dawndus'ts tail flickes in annoyance, and she replied to him. "We don't have to go now if you don't want," rather flatly. Seeing as Dawndust didn't want her there, she stood up and walked away, her small paws barely making a sound on the hard frozen earth.

Dawndust, now confused, watched Featherpaw walk away. All he asked if when they were leaving, the golden tomcat laid his head back onto his paws and closed his eyes once more as he pondered. He fell into a doze, his thoughts slipping away until he was half conscious.

Featherpaw walked over to the apprentices den, and lay down inside. She felt the warm air rush over her, and sighed in content. Suddenly, she realized that Dawndust knew she liked him, but shrugged. What did it matter anyway? She pondered the thought, but soon fell asleep, lost in her dreams.

dawndust < let's roll
Dawndust padded across the grassy clearing until he reached Featherpaw's sleeping side, blinking, he gently nudged her. "Its time to hunt," the tan warrior explained with a smile before adding smoothly, "No hard feeling about earlier? I was just in a foul mood because of Lionclaw... You know how he is," he gave her a crooked grin before turning away to look up at the sky. Staring up at it he couldn't help but mutter in an undertone, "It's so cloudy I can barely tell if its sunhigh." Dawndust glared at the clouds before exhaling lightly.
He shouldn't get so frustrated over little things that easily.
His green eyes flashed as the tom gave a sweeping look over the nearly quiet clearing, as he waited for Featherpaw to quickly prepare herself for the little trip.

Aquasky padded about the camp, looking around for Lionclaw. You could see that she was quite annoyed, as she had somewhat fallen for his little... uhh... "trick" back there. Forcing herself to not roll her eyes at this thought -- goodness, who knows when her eyes would get stuck in the position of being rolled -- and just kept on plodding forward, still trying to search for the tomcat. When she found him... oh, would he get a piece of her mind. Trying to not talk to any other cat, for fear that she would unleash her frustration directed toward him too soon at another cat instead, she continued looking around, eyes darting to see.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a flash of a golden tabby pelt. She leaped up instantly and turned in the direction of it. Eh? Where was it? Looking around again, she glanced over her shoulder and once again saw the goldenish pelt. Turning again, she found that she had missed it again. AGH! the she-cat thought to herself, after continuing this for a couple of more minutes. Boy, was he tricky. Panting, she slowed down and looked over her shoulder one more time. As a sharp wind passed through, she shivered slightly, and it was then she noticed one thing.
She had been chasing herself.
Now that she realized that she had been following the wrong golden tabby, she raised her head and pretended as if she hadn't just done that. Padding along as if nothing had gone wrong in her pursuit of Lionclaw, she proceeded to look around in attempt to find him. Seeing another golden cat -- this time not herself -- she made her way to Dawndust. If anyone knew where Lionclaw was, it was probably his brother.
"Dawndust. Quick question -- have you seen that mouse-brain Lionclaw lately?" the she-cat asked, trying to remain calm, although it certainly was difficult. Drawing a line in the ground with her right forepaw in order to help her keep her composure, her gaze flickered back to the tomcat as she awaited his response to her question. While waiting, it was true that she was getting impatient -- she hadn't wanted to resort to having to ask someone for their aid in finding Lionclaw. After all, if Lionclaw was hearing this, he would probably be teasing her without mercy later. And god forbid, if he had seen her running around in circles chasing herself when she thought that her golden fur was Lionclaw's... well, she wouldn't see the end to that until she was an old elder, or until she ended his scrawny little mousy life -- whichever occurred first, that was.

Lionclaw spat out the fresh-kill that he had been carrying to replace in a few gulps of air. That felt good. After a few moments his breathing was finally quiet but that didn't mean his heart was, it was still hammering from the race away from the she-cat. Aquasky... she was probably all confused right now, wondering what the heck just happened. The best prank ever because it was so random. Lionclaw inhaled deeply before wiggling forward to peek into camp, he saw her padding toward his brother, Dawndust. With a hiss of irritation he already guessed what was about to happen, obviously Dawndust was going to tell her exactly where he was hiding and he'd be clawed to bits by her fury. Unless he miraculously outrun her again... like that was going to happen. "If you tell her I'll bite your head off," Lionclaw grumbled angrily underneath his breath, his claws raking the den floor.
He couldn't see Aquasky's expression from his view but he could clearly see his brother's. "Don't," The golden warrior growled quietly but either way the look on Dawndust's face was beyond satisfaction-- it was excitement. His brother's paws kneaded the ground as he flicked his tail toward the apprentice's den with much enthusiasm, Lionclaw managed to hear the words of 'give that mouse-brain a piece of my mind too.' Lionclaw turned and slithered back to the back of the den, amber eyes burning with anger, leave it to the boringest cat in the entire world to ruin his fun. Stupid Dawndust. He's pay for this.
As Lionclaw waited he couldn't help but smirk.
Even if he was going to get mauled, this was pretty fun. If he lived he might try it on Dawndust, the stupid cat is too retarded to actually attack him. Ha. That was definitely going to happen, he'd just have to time it perfectly. Lionclaw shook his head before pricking his ears forward and listening intently for the she-cat-- hopefully no apprentices came in. If they did, who knew if they were going to make it back out again. This little conflict was going to be verbal or physical, still, no one wanted to be around with the exception of Dawndust.

"Wha--?" Featherpaw whispered sleepily as she was gently nudged awake. "Mmmm, oh," she mewed a bit more clearly now, shaking the sleep out of her head. "...o hard feeling about earlier... foul mood because or Lionclaw..." Featherpaw heard Dawndust say, catching on to bits of his words. She got up slowly, and shook the moss out of her fur. The sun glinted off her fur, giving it a silver shine. Looking at Dawndust and blinking her wide blue eyes, she spoke. "All right. Lets go, then." Whispering in the golden warrior's ear, she mewed: "It's okay. I really don't like Lionclaw either. I don't know how you can even stand him as your brother." The she-cat smiled good naturedly at her friend before bounding out of camp and into the ridge.

A smile flickered across Aquasky's face when Dawndust responded by pointing her in the right direction as well as giving her the task of giving his brother a piece of his own mind. It was rather frightening to see a look of humor crossed with a look of her being absolutely enraged with Lionclaw, but Aquasky wasn't exactly caring too much about what others saw right now. She was a little too caught up in giving Lionclaw a taste of his own medicine, and boy would he get a rather large kick out of it. Maybe enough so that he didn't become a wandering psycho. Aquasky gave a slight chuckle at the thought, as it probably wasn't going to come true. As far as she was concerned, Lionclaw had been a psycho cat from the moment he had been born. Still, if she had voiced her opinions out loud... well, she would probably be ridiculed, so she preferred to take matters in her own paws and go face to face with Lionclaw.
Technically, Aquasky wasn't exactly going to go and challenge Lionclaw with a face off. She was planning on using the element of surprise, although that might've been somewhat destroyed by her running around in circles before. With a nod to Featherpaw in order to show the apprentice that she had acknowledged her, Aquasky moved on forward. If Lionclaw were watching her right now, she was planning to look as if she were just ambling casually toward the den. Instead of moving straight, however, she quickly veered to the left and stuck to thick clumps of heather to shield her. Hopefully, now it had seemed that she had just all of a sudden disappeared. Crossing between different clumps of the brown stuff that had a rather prickly appearance to it, she made sure that she was well hidden, and if any other cat happened to glance her way, she tried to appear as nonchalant as possible, although anticipation was making it relatively hard for her.
Just when she was at the entrance of the apprentice's den, she paused. Should she plan on what she was going to do? Well, her irritation would probably allow her to act on instinct and let her just go ahead and simply hurt him. Then again, she had to restrain herself so that she didn't kill him. Tilting her head to the side, her ears twitched for a few moments, seeing if there were any sound of an apprentice approaching the apprentice's den. When she deemed the coast as clear, she waited for a few moments more in order to build suspense for Lionclaw in there. Continuing to remain in a position in which she didn't move a muscle, she waited.
Suddenly, the she-cat sprang up and took three large bounds in to the den. With a cry somewhat resembling one of a battle cry, she leaped forward and attempted to pounce on the tomcat. "This is in response to your little comment back there--" the she-cat paused here to try to re-pounce on the tomcat, trying at being able to jump up and down on him as if he were a clump of springy moss. "--when you decided to try this on me..." Pausing again, she made more attempts of jumping up and down.
"I haaaaaaaaaaate you!"

Dawnust watched as a malicious look shone from Aquasky's face like the sun peeking over the mountain, it glittered all around him and in his own eyes. Featherpaw had still been asleep then so she hadn't seen the evil glint in both the she-cat's and his eyes-- he wouldn't know what to do if she had. She's probably thought they had both gone crazy and were about to kill something, probably Lionclaw since there isn't anyone to absolutely want to murder in this StarClan forsaking Clan anyway. Dawndust's claws sank deep into the ground, perhaps he should take a peek and see what his Clanmate was going to do to his brother anyway. He was about to ask her if he could watch when the little she-cat apprentice finally woke up, her her face had drowsy written all over it. The golden tom missed his chance because, as he glanced back at Aquasky, she was all ready making her way to the apprentice's den. Darn it.
Featherpaw mumbled a few things before finally saying, "All right. Lets go then." The little apprentice shook the moss from her fur and put her muzzle toward his head, uncertain to what she was going to do he had to restrain himself from leaning away, once she reached his ear she whispered softly. "It's okay. I really don't like Lionclaw either. I don't know how you can even stand him as your brother." Dawndust snorted, eyes twinkling, even the smallest of she-cats knew Lionclaw was a retarded cat, whom had so many problems everyone lost count. Featherpaw beamed up at him before bouncing out of camp without any other glance behind her, she seemed a little too excited... Then again she hadn't done anything today so who wouldn't be excited?
... Him. He wouldn't be excited. Not right now anyway.
Realization rushed through his body as he turned and padded to the apprentice's den, Dawndust's eyes narrowed in concentration as to not sprint there instead-- someone might think there is an emergency going on. He paused a tail-length away and glanced anxiously toward Featherpaw's direction, it shouldn't be long, right? He just had to have a few seconds. He slipped forward and crouched at the entrance, peering through it with pure satisfaction as he saw Lionclaw and Aquasky.
Just as he had looked in, the she-cat had pounced on his brother with fury in her eyes, and bounced up and down until he fell over with a hmph of surprise. Dawndust snickered as Lionclaw's eyes rolled with the unexpected attack until they landed on him... then they sparked with anger. The golden warrior's expression blanked out immediately, Lionclaw wasn't supposed to see he had been watching! Now he'd get it. Great. Dawndust's blank expression changed to one of triumph and he smirked. The whole silent conversation happening within moments at a time.
"I haaaaaaaaaaate you!" Aquasky cried loudly.
Lionclaw's ears went back at the sudden yowl and let out a quiet hiss of defense, "Why--thank--you--Aquasky--dear." Everything was punctuated with a bounce and by the wince he gave it was starting to hurt him. Lionclaw lifted his hind legs to stop the jumps and let out a low growl, it was short but to the point before meowing slowly, "I see that you still have that squirrel worthy wrath of fury." Dawndust's brother scrambled to his paws and shook himself out before adding on in a completely casual tone, "Well now, let's go get something to eat, eh? I'm starving." Dawndust's eyes rounded in disbelief, how could he do that? Was he asking for Aquasky to attack him again?! That's just mad! He is a psycho!
Dawndust looked around before darting out of camp, he should be grateful Featherpaw asked to go hunting! Who knew what was going to happen if he wasn't going? The warrior nose crinkled but he refused to think anything of it, when he reached Featherpaw's side he was panting lightly. "Sorry about that, Featherpaw. I got caught up in something just as you left," he rasped as he glanced behind him, his amber eyes narrowed. "Which way do you want to go? I want to see how well you can hunt. We'll make this a private hunting party! So, where's the best place to get some prey?" He sounded like a mentor as he spoke to her, his tail flicked back and forth in an easy-going manner even though he was about to flip off the edge of his seat from all the eagerness to get as far as he could away from Lionclaw.

Featherpaw was just stalking a mouse, about to pounce, when Dawndust bounded in next to her, scaring the small piece of prey away. In green-leaf, she wouldn't have cared much, but this was leaf-bare, and prey was short. Her tail flicked slightly in annoyance, but otherwise there was no hint of anger showing in the silver and white apprentice.
"Um..." Featherpaw thought for a second, cocking her head slightly to the side, something she always did when she was thinking hard. Dawndust had asked her what a good spot for hunting was, and in her mind, the apprentice was scanning the SkyClan ridge. I think over there would be good," she said, flicking the snowy tip of her tail towards a group oftrees in the distance. She could smell warm scents coming from there. "Yes, I think thats--" Featherpaw cut off as she glanced at Dawndust. Usually, the tan colored warrior kept a calm and laid back composure, but she could see that he was excited for some reason. Featherpaw's blue eyes glittered in amusement. He probably wanted to get away from Lionclaw, which was no surprise. "Well, you're excited, aren't you?" she mewed to Dawndust, a light, bell like chuckle lacing her voice. She stood up and lifted a paw. "So, I guess we should get started."

Onespot nodded slowly to Icefoot. "Hm," he grunted quietly. That was something to think about. What if every cat was destined to love another cat? And if something came between them, then nothing would be right in the lives of any involved?
Suddenly Onespot was unsure of his love for Honeypaw. Sure he thought she was amazing, but he had loved Owlpaw, too. What if he had just moved his affections from Owlpaw on to Honeypaw because he was upset that Owlpaw was gone?
Onespot thought about this for a long moment. No. He loved Honeypaw. He loved her, and he would until the day the sun stopped rising.
"We're both very lucky toms," he meowed thoughtfully, "Aren't we?" He purred softly as he rolled back onto his feet and stood up. He shook the dirt out of his pelt and then settled down, sitting a tail-length or two away from the tom.

Icefoot gave a slight nod of his head, his eyelids half over his eyes, giving him the sense that he was currently in a relaxed state, although there was still part of him that was relatively aware of the surrounding actions that currently flitted about the camp, lightly disturbing the silence. It was reasonably peaceful around here, and it put the tomcat to ease, knowing that things were, for the most part, under control. Then again, what reason would there be for there not to be enough control?
"As lucky as lucky can get," the tomcat meowed in a placid tone, with a slight hint of amusement flickering through his voice -- although he did truly mean what he said. Ever fiber of his being was sure that he was falling for Flamefoot, if he hadn't already hit the ground hard. He was also extremely fortunate about the fact that Onespot wasn't acting all that protective, making it much easier, as that meant Icefoot didn't have to break down any barriers before finally being able to truly win the ginger colored she-cat's heart.
The tomcat wasn't exactly particularly sure on what to say next, as he wasn't exactly accustomed to keeping a good conversation going. Most of the time, he liked letting the silence fill in the conversation, although it wasn't really silence: it was just the peaceful little movements that were made in camp. In truth, Icefoot absolutely hated it when the duty of spitting out words just to keep more word flowing fell upon his shoulders.
"It's a crazy world out there," he murmured softly, then was rather surprised at what he had said. It wasn't untrue, but it wasn't something that Icefoot would normally say out of the blue. Then again, as Icefoot was usually rather quiet, it wasn't always easy to tell what was going on in his mind.
