"Whats wrong?" Lilypaw meowed, but almost instantly, she knew the answer." I guess Cloudpuff likes you too?" She asked, anger burning within her. "Gret, now I'll never have Inkpaw or Coloudpuff as a mate" Lilypaw uttered a sad sigh. "What is wrong with me that no one likes?"

"It'll all work out," Dreampaw murmured to the she-cat apprentice softly. Padding up to Lilypaw, she ran her tongue over the cat's ear. "Now I'm going to go sleep," she meowed. In a matter of a few quick and light steps, her dainty paws brought her to the opening of the apprentice's den. Glancing inside, she saw that none of the apprentices were in there yet. Well, at least she would have some quiet before they all stormed in. Most cats were waiting in the Camp clearing, excited for news of the Gathering. Dreampaw, though, simply wanted to let the waves of sleep gently lull her into their wake.
"Yes, I'm going to," Inkpaw responded to Silverpaw, nodding in the direction of the apprentice's den. Without waiting for any more conversation, he began padding to the apprentice's den.
Dreampaw was in between the stages of true consciousness and true sleep when she heard an apprentice pad into the den. Pricking her ears, she instantly recognized the heavy and clumsy pawsteps of Inkpaw. Giving a mental sigh, she attempted to go back to sleep. All of a sudden, she felt a warmth on her right side. Lifting her elegant head, she saw that Inkpaw had curled up beside her. She opened her mouth to scold him, but her gaze softened when she saw that he had a rather happy look on his face. Not wanting to ruin the look, she rested her head back down to its sleeping position. Although she attempted to surpress and resist it, she couldn't help but let the purr tickling in her chest to sound out softly. It wasn't as if she were pleased with Inkpaw or anything - or perhaps she was falling in love with him? - it was just that it was a chilly night and she was cold. Yes, that was it. Or was it? Confused thoughts darted around her mind, although she eventually managed to clear her mind and sleep.

A flash of grey, almost black, fur flew past. Lean, sharp muscles propelled the creature in smooth, rhythmic movements over the moorland. It -which definitely was a cat- gave a tremendous leap over a wide ditch with only a faint rustle as the tom landed in the grass.
His eyes were vivid against his shadow-like pelt for they were a stunning dark blue which showed his deep determination. Suddenly the tom slid to a stop, ears pricked, and then slowly sank into a clean crouch. His eyes scanned his surroundings until it stopped where some long grass fluttered gently in the breeze. He grinned and slowly brought himself forward without the slightest of sounds. In the moment where he began to rock his haunches, a rabbit shot out from the grass in a flurry of fear.
The chase began. The young cat dashed after it, his paws were silent as the rabbits own feet thumped hard against the rough moor. He could feel its tiny heart beating and his whiskers twitched with anticipation of sinking his teeth into warm prey. With a boost of energy he charged forward with this, his claws caught the rabbit’s hips and it fell. Immediately he pinned down with little effort.
The tomcat stared down at his helpless prey as it lay beneath him with beady, black eyes wide. It had stopped thrashing and was waiting for the final blow of death. Sighing softly he looked up at the stars which were twinkling down upon him. He sent a prayer of thanks to StarClan then quickly bit the rabbit’s neck causing it to go limp.
He picked up the fresh-kill, that was quite large even though it was leafbare, and started for camp. He didn’t want puncture his kill so he tried hard to lift his head high so it wouldn’t drag against the ground. The weight of the creature hurt his neck somewhat but he wasn’t about to give up.
The young grey tom’s name was Bravepaw, it suited him well. He was an athletic tom, never really the one to quit first. His personality is high spirited; it’s hard to get him down unless the other cat has done some serious damage. He can talk a little to fast but still understandable. The tomcat is brave and as loyal as can be, obvious since his name demonstrates that. When he was first born he wasn’t going for creamy milk his mother had but going exploring, another reason his name was Bravepaw. He has also seen nine moons of life.
Bravepaw slipped into camp and placed his kill into the pile of scrawny fresh-kill. The clan would be thankful for the large, meaty rabbit. Bravepaw longed to take a bite but knew it wasn’t his right. With a yawn he sat down and began to groom his ruffled pelt.

Silverpaw looked up to see Bravepaw. Her heart missed a beat for she thought he was an intruder. Bravepaw was like a moving shadow to her, she watched as he dropped the rabbit onto the pile and began to groom his fur.
Her icy-blue eyes flickered around, no one was here. Suddenly, she lept forward and barreled the tomcat over. He must have already sensed her presence for next thing Silverpaw knew was that she was pinned down. "Think you're sneaky, eh?" Braveheart asked playfully then jabbed his paw into her under belly. The she-cat apprentice let out a little squeal then, with claws carefully sheathed, pushed him off with her hind paws. "How'd you know I was coming?" she asked as Bravepaw got up from the ground, he was all dusty. "Well" he growled with mock anger "with your pelt glowing you're like a firefly!"
Bravepaw and herself were close, like siblings almost. He was the only one that could get her to talk and play instead of watching and learning all the time.
Silverpaw purred softly then helped him up "its late. What were you doing up?" Bravepaw gave her a defiant glance "what are you? My mother?" he asked teasingly then answered "nah I just wanted some fresh air." Silverpaw nodded, "come on, lets get some sleep or the clan leader will be all over us" her voice was melodic as it always was. The silver she-cat padded delicately over to the apprentices' den and slipped over to the nearest spot, which was beside Inkpaw.
She settled down next to his warm, dark figure and watched as Bravepaw took a spot father away. Wasn't he going to be lonely? She decided to stay next to Inkpaw, she didn't want to wake him.
She closed her eyes and felt sleep drag at her mind like a black wave.

When Bravepaw and Silverpaw entered the apprentice's den, Inkpaw stirred. He opened his hazelnut eyes, seeing that Silverpaw had laid down beside him. Glancing to the left, he saw Dreampaw - the cat he truly loved indeed. He didn't want to wake her, so instead he stood up and padded away and outside of the apprentice's den - his mind working too quickly for him to fall back asleep.
Once outside, he seated himself beside the entrance of the apprentice's den. He sat there, looking up at the stars and the moon - all glimmering brightly in the dark sky. Happiness gleamed in his hazelnut eyes as he replayed the sound of Dreampaw's purr when he laid next to her over and over again. Satisfaction rumbled in his chest - another purr of glee.
x--
Dreampaw stirred lightly when she heard rather subconsciously Inkpaw standing up - probably restless - and walking out of the apprentice's den. Opening her azure and emerald eyes just a crack, she saw him seated next to the entrance of the den. Part of her told her to go stand up and speak to him, but she knew that he would probably think she was falling in love with him - something that would never happen - or would it happen one day? Bravepaw lay in a nest of moss, clawing the ground in fustration and sadness. Didn't Silverpaw see? Why couldn't she notice? The grey tom shook his head helplessly as he gazed at the most gorgeous she-cat in the world-- Silverpaw. He loved her so much yet she she still doesn't notice his obvious affections.
He let out a ragged sigh once Inkpaw padded away. He didn't want to disturb Silverpaw -he didn't really mind Dreampaw as much for she was a "/regular/" she-cat- with all the restless noises he was making. Slowly he got to his paws and flashed his dark blue eyes around the den then slipped away. He nodded slightly to Inkpaw when he passed him, still distracted with his problems as he padded to the middle of camp.
Bravepaw couldn't stand it. What was wrong with him? Then a thought slipped through his mind, why did she curl up to sleep beside /Inkpaw/ and not /him/. His mind whirled for a moment as all these crazy answers pushed through but one was the largest. Did Silverpaw /love/ Inkpaw? No, no, it couldn't be true. Could it? He should stop being a mousebrain for thinking that! She /just/ picked a spot to sleep. That didn't mean anything. Right...?
---x---
Silverpaw shifted in her nest, she wasn't extirely asleep. Something was wrong, she felt cold on her left side. Her eyes opened slightly to see that Inkpaw disappeared and Bravepaw too. She scented that Inkpaw was close and noticed he was sitting outside the apprentices' den. Maybe she should check on him incase? Bravepaw was always slipping out at night so she didn't feel the need to check on him.
Silently she stood and padded out of the den. "Inkpaw? Inkpaw is something wrong?" she paused "I woke up and you were gone." She meowed softly into the darkness then sat down beside him.

Lilypaw followed Dreampaw, her small paws and slim legs moving gracefully to the apprentices den. She curled up beside Inkpaw, their fur like Yin and Yang, their fur touching. Lilypaw let out a loud puur at being next to Inkpaw, and him not jerking away. "Inkpaw, I'm really sorry" Lilypaw murmered to Inkpaw, so quietly that hopefully no cat could hear.

ooc:: Oops, x out last post. Bic:: Lilypaw saw Inkpaw, and decided to sit with him. Her slim legs brought her gracefully to him, but she decided to keep her distance, in cas Inkpaw should think she was being annoying. "Inkpaw?" She whispered, her melodic meow reaching his ears. "Whats wrong?" Lilypaw suddenly thought maybe it was her. Lilypaw couldn't meet Inkpaws intense hazelnut gaze.

It was not possible to see through her agitation, and however lithe and elegant her movements were, once the she-cat sprang out of the lake and into camp, her trot was hard and stiff, tinged with irritation as her long sleek tail whipped around angrily. Ears tilted backwards, the silver leader locked her deep moss gaze upon the plump obsidian apprentice. Her eyes did not focus on the other apprentices around him, and at the moment she neither cared nor wanted to draw her attention from the tom apprentice. Northstar consealed her annoyance in more a controlled manner, and on this act, approached Inkpaw with a hard stare. "Come to my den," she hissed.

Ravenpaw stretched in the moonlight, his raven black pelt shining. He saw his slightly younger brother getting in trouble with the leader through odd silver tinted blue eyes. His His gaze grew softer as it rested on the pretty white she cat, Lilypaw. He understood what she was going through, and how she felt, although, not fully. Ravenfeather hadn't known love yet, but knew that if his love loved someone else, his heart would be breaking.

Inkpaw looked into Northstar's frustrated face. Casting his glance against the ground as if he hadn't a care in the world, he stood up and waited for her to lead the way to her den. He was in big trouble and he knew it.
Through a side glance, he saw his brother Ravenfeather looking at him. Not responding to the glance, it seemed as if Inkpaw had shut out the rest of the world the moment Northstar had asked him to visit her in her den.
But it's not entirely my fault! he thought stubbornly to himself as he forced his rather clumsy paws to move forward. He clung onto hope that Northstar wouldn't be too harsh until a voice entered his mind and said, You know she's going to be furious with you. You quarreled with a Clan member underneath the truce of the Gathering moon.

Without waiting to see if the foul-tempered apprentice followed her, Northstar picked up a brisk pad once more, tail stiff and erect as she made her way hastily towards her den. She knew her actions were quite out of character, however her seemingly placid and sly personality could change almost immediately, making her quite a fierce leader and warrior.
Whiskers twitching irritably, the light-silver she-cat felt her paws hit the soft earth silently, small toes spreading out against the gentle heather-dappled soil. Ears flicking forwards and locking into an alert position, Northstar released a long, silent sigh. This would be difficult for her to survive the next few moons.

Inkpaw was rather fearful of what Northstar was going to do to him. She was a fair and wise leader, but even those types of leaders could sometimes change and force him to do something harsh and backbreaking. He longed to go cower in a corner and whimper for mercy, but he wouldn't give Northstar the satisfcation of seeing him being scared - not that she probably cared, anyway.
"Yes?" he meowed, not caring if he seemed impudent for saying the first word in their conversation. He had already landed himself in trouble - how could it get any worse by simply saying a word?

Ravenfeather moved closer to Lilypaw and Silverpaw. He wondered if one of them would ask him for advice; because many cats did that. Alot of cats liked him because of that, but no she cats had taken further interest in him. "Silverpaw, are you alright?" He asked her, knowing she was probably sad, because Inkpaw didn't love either of them, and that he loved Dreampaw.
Lilypaw nodded to Ravenfeather, then, exaustion tugging at her paws, she headed towards that apprentices den, then stopping short, then heading towards Northstars den, thinking she should be responsible for the trouble at the Gathering and leaving also.

Silverpaw blinked at Ravenfeather questionly "yes I'm okay" her voice was cool and soft. Why was Ravenfeather acting so wierd? Did he think she had a serious affection for Inkpaw? She liked him as a /close/ friend but not as close as that. Or did she? Her mind pondered on the question for a few heartbeats.
Her icy-blue eyes looked like sparkling frost in the moonlight as she gazed at Inkpaw's older sibling. With a mental sigh she gracefully strode away, her elegent silver head held high. Silverpaw's strides were delicate, holding up her lithe body in ease.
What was Northstar going to do to Inkpaw? Why was he away from the Gathering? What was Lilypaw doing away from the Gathering? Silverpaw was tempted to listen in from outside the Earthclan leader's den but she knew it wasn't right. Suddenly she caught site of Bravepaw a little ways away and turned her direction onto his path.
---x---
Bravepaw watched Silverpaw hungerily as she came over to him. He could tell by the way her fur was slightly on end that she was troubled. His mind began to work endlessly to get Silverpaw to love him.
"Hey Silverpaw" he meowed casually, hopefully not too casually. The beautiful apprentice dipped her head, "hello" she murmured quietly. As he had guessed she was somewhat distracted from /him/.
Once again the familair anger toward Inkpaw started up again. When he had seen her come out from the apprentices' den earlier his heart had lept for joy that she was looking for him but instead she sat down beside Inkpaw and began to talk in her soft, syrupy voice.
Silverpaw's slim legs formed a sitting position as she began to groom her pelt. Should he share tongues with her? Bravepaw's thoughts raced with how he was going to do this.
