"I haven't really seen them around. I think Inkpaw went off, I'm not quite sure," Dreampaw responded, her soft voice being taken over by a rather light and airy tone, nonchalant and carefree. Her only worry in this situation was that Inkpaw would come and take the whole thing in with one sweep of his hazelnut colored gaze and take it in the wrong way.
Something was wrong. Deeply wrong. Dreampaw felt as if she couldn't quite take her gaze off of Bravepaw, thoughts flitting about wildly. After what seemed like ages, Dreampaw finally tore her eyes away from the tomcat, looking out and around the SkyClan Camp. The awkwardness between him and her, she thought, was nearly palpable. She was almost glad when Lovepaw, another apprentice of SkyClan, bounded in to the apprentices' den.
"Hiya! What's up?" Lovepaw greeted in a bright tone, looking at the two apprentices. A sly cat's smile spread across her face. "Or maybe I shouldn't be here... am I intruding on something?" she asked. "Some forbidden thing between you two? I mean, it's not forbidden that you two can like each other, but I mean... Inkpaw would absolutely freak, Dreampaw. I mean, he'd probably kill Bravepaw."
"Erm. Hi, Lovepaw," Dreampaw meowed in response to Lovepaw's forward and bold greeting, slightly hesitating in her answer. "Oh no... I was just... looking for Inkpaw." She wasn't quite sure if her excuses were cutting it, but it seemed as if Lovepaw wasn't exactly listening to them.
"So. Bravepaw. What's up? You know, your two pelts are kind of the same color... I've never noticed that before. That's kind of cool," Lovepaw chattered on and on, nonstop.

The grey tomcat dipped his head slightly, "Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a heavy sleeper," Bravepaw joked when Dreampaw told him she herself wasn't quite sure. He tried to lighten the atmosphere between them but something was wrong. The tom's ear flicked nervously as a brief silence took over but after a few heartbeats Lovepaw hopped happily into the apprentices' den with a bounce in her step .
Bravepaw smiled at her but it faded as he heard what she was saying, feeling extremely embarrassed now he only nodded curtly when she finish her little speech over Dreampaw, Inkpaw, and him. When Dreampaw replied the grey tom could hear he wasn't the only one taken back currently from Lovepaw's really bold move on the two.
After the comment on their fur he unconsciously glanced at his pelt only to see the same old dark grey then his eyes flickered over to Dreampaw's. Her fur looks way better than mine, he thought before meowing aloud, "Yeah, I guess you could say that." Feeling rather awkward now he decided to change the subject from the two. "How is the weather outside? Is it still snowing?" Bravepaw asked then realized how corny he sounded, his tail twitched.

"Say, what's wrong with you two? I mean, gosh! I was just kidding! Geez, don't go all polite and formal on me right now. I mean, geez. It was just a little teasing -- I'm sure you're all old enough to be able to shrug stuff like that off of your chests, eh?" Lovepaw asked, still chattering on and on. "Sheesh. You both should just take a chill pill."
Dreampaw shook her head, a slight sigh emitting from her mouth out of exassperation against Lovepaw. Why couldn't the other she-cat apprentice just go? Still, the silver tabby she-cat kept her thoughts to herself and attempted to patiently wait until Lovepaw had run out of steam for talking, hopefully before Inkpaw came in to the apprentices' den and demanded to know what she was doing by just being in the near proximity of Bravepaw.
Much to her chagrin, Inkpaw padded in right at that moment. Dreampaw looked worriedly at him, her tail twitching and hoping that he wouldn't take this whole situation the wrong way. She shot a glance in the direction of Lovepaw, this time throwing all her patience to the wind. "Will you just stop talking?" she hissed, then was extremely taken back at her words. She had tried to never say something against another apprentice, unless it had been Inkpaw. Luckily, Lovepaw didn't exactly seem to take in the whole situation and Dreampaw's words just simply bounced off of her as if they had never been said.
But Inkpaw had heard, and he had already registered the whole scene.
"Dreampaw," he meowed, his tone soft, yet gaining a rather hardened edge to it. Dreampaw couldn't bring herself to meet his eyes, although she swear she could almost feel his hazelnut gaze burning in to her pelt. Her face felt rather warm, and she would've flushed if she weren't a cat. Drawing a line in the ground with her right forepaw, she looked at Inkpaw from underneath her lashes, although made no move to respond to him.
Inkpaw came forward, sensing the slight bit of discomfort. Millions of thoughts had rushed through his mind already, and many more were still on their way to being delievered. Padding forward, he sat himself next to Dreampaw, stroking her flank lightly with his tail. Although he couldn't quite stay angry at Dreampaw for long, he did feel a sense of rivalry with Bravepaw now. Inkpaw looked up, his eyes hardening into a glare as he looked at Bravepaw.

Bravepaw stood up as soon as Lovepaw left, he was about to leave when Inkpaw came into the apprentices' den. The tomcat's dark blue eyes glinted with dislike before he turned his head, looking the other direction with a sense of unease wavering over him. Bravepaw, after taking a breath, turned to gaze upon Dreampaw and Inkpaw. The black apprentice was looming over her in a way and the she-cat was looking down without meeting his hazel eyes. A prickle of anger flashed through him.
As soon as Bravepaw saw Inkpaw shoot him a glare his lips drew back show his ivory teeth, the apprentice's tail flicked irritably, "Back off, Inkpaw! It wasn't like I was attacking her or anything." Bravepaw growled before taking a step forward to stand in front of the black cat, "Everything was fine," he lied easily. Bravepaw had known something weird had been happening when Dreampaw and himself had been alone together.
Bravepaw whipped his head away from Inkpaw's face so that he gazed down at Dreampaw, the frustration and annoyance that had been glowing in his eyes was replaced by sympathy, "Come on, let's go outside and see if there is any fresh-kill or open duties," he meowed to the silver she-cat, he wanted to get away from Inkpaw or at least as far as he could.. "All right," Dreampaw responded, using a certain tone to make it sound as if she didn't care at all. She began padding after Bravepaw, and just as she was almost out of the apprentices' den, she cast a glance over her shoulder. Inkpaw. Why was he being so quiet? When she looked back, she saw that he was staring back at her with an empty look in his eyes. Something inside of her fell when she saw his expression -- where was all the spirit?
"A word, Dreampaw."
The silver tabby she-cat gave a sharp intake of breath when she heard those three words uttered from Inkpaw's mouth. She looked down at the ground again, timidness washing over her. She didn't want to hear what he had to say -- would he yell at her? Tears stung at her eyes -- she didn't mean to be caught sharing a few words with Bravepaw. Even though this wasn't that big of an act, she was still extremely ashamed of herself, as if she had betrayed Inkpaw.
"Inkpaw... I... I'm... sorry," Dreampaw murmured, each word coming out hesitantly as she tried to hold back the torrent of tears that threatened to spill out. She drew a line in the ground with her right forepaw to distract herself, even though she could still sense Inkpaw's hazelnut eyes burning in to her pelt.
Silence crossed the area between the two for what seemed like ages. A gust of wind blew by hard, leaving in its wake even more silence. It wasn't the type of silence, however, that had a good feeling of being together in it -- no, it was a silence of sorrow, shame, and... well, a slight hint of anger.
"Dreampaw."
Dreampaw looked up at Inkpaw, a slightly hopeful expression on her face, but when she saw that he still had the hollow look in his eyes, she had to look away. She couldn't bear to see the obsidian colored tomcat like that.
"I'll love you no matter what."
With that, the tomcat turned and left, leaving Dreampaw standing there.

Bravepaw's ear heard the faint words come from Inkpaw's mouth as he slipped out of the den; 'a word, Dreampaw.' The grey tomcat flicked his tail, deciding not to go back inside, feeling rather down know he dragged his paws over to a sunny part of camp and settled down. Bravepaw's eyes glowed feebly unlike their usual spark, suddenly his ears pricked up and his eyes flashed with excitement. Where was Silverpaw?
--x
Silverpaw's metallic fur blew in the breeze, her eyes shining as she gazed at over the moors but there was a sparkle of confusion and sadness in its icy-blue depths. Her sweet breath stirred the warm air as she sang ever so softly to herself;
My number one: There could never be no one like you How come I feel this way about My number two: Never tried to tell me what to say or do I'm so in love with two I don't want to push it I don't want to fight But this feeling keeps me up all night
If I only could decide But I can't make up my mind I'm breakin' all my rules because of you You can tell me it's not right And it tears me up inside But the problem is I'm so in love with two
Hey, hey, hey I don't know what to do Hey, hey, hey I choose the both of you
She glanced back through the camp entrance at the SkyClan camp, her eyes found Bravepaw and she left out a soft purr but Silverpaw's paws were like stone, she couldn't bring herself to him not now anyway. Her insides swirled and she let out a ragged sigh. Why her?
My number one: You give me everything I need But some things still are better with My number two: He's the one that really makes me feel so good I'm so in love with two I don't want to push it I don't want to fight But this feeling keeps me up all night
If I only could decide But I can't make up my mind I'm breakin' all my rules because of you You can tell me it's not right And it tears me up inside But the problem is I'm so in love with two
But the problem is I'm so in love with two
Hey, hey, hey I don't know what to do Hey, hey, hey I choose the both of you
Her crystalline eyes burned into him for a few moments until she got up and inhaled a sharp breath, Silverpaw lifted her elegant head high and padded wearily over to Bravepaw. "Hello," she breathed to him, she forced a smile as she gazed into his face. The tomcats' claws scraped the earth and he rubbed his head happily against her own. Don't want to fight another night Just want to make it right C'mon Ooh, my number one, oh, my number two Somebody tell me what I'm supposed to do My number one, my number two Somebody tell me I'm so in love with two
If I only could decide But I can't make up my mind I'm breakin' all my rules because of you You can tell me it's not right And it tears me up inside But the problem is I'm so in love with two
If I only could decide But I can't make up my mind I'm breakin' all my rules because of you You can tell me it's not right And it tears me up inside But the problem is I'm so in love with two

Black paws padded the frozen earth as Thistlepaw walked over to the apprentice's den, a rather placid and calm expression on his face.
As he reached the entrance to the den, his blue eyes widened slightly. Inkpaw and Dreampaw having relationship issues already. But as jealous as Thistlepaw knew Inkpaw to be, he should have expected this.
"Er, I guess this is a bad time to ask if anyone wanted to go hunting?" he asked, sort of joking, but still awkwardly as he reached out a small black paw to draw a line over and over again in the earth.

Inkpaw looked up, seeing Thistlepaw entering the apprentices' den. The obsidian tomcat wasn't exactly quite sure how to feel -- relieved that his friend was here, or irritated that it seemed as if cats couldn't just leave him and Dreampaw alone for a few more minutes. "Hi, Thistlepaw," he meowed, his voice coming out rather strained. His gaze flitted over to Dreampaw, wondering what response she would have. Everytime he looked at her he was filled with tenderness and protectiveness, and he would rather die than have Bravepaw entering this relationship.
"Hunting? I guess... sure. It'll help clear my mind from all this craziness that's been going on in just a matter of moments," Inkpaw meowed with a slight upward movement of his shoulders that could somewhat be described as a shrug. He tilted his head to the side, still looking at Dreampaw, his expression one of pure tenderness slightly tinted with a sorrowful look. He wondered: if he hadn't left the den so early in the morning and had just stayed sleeping at Dreampaw's side, could all of this awkwardness have been avoided?
"A hunt?" The voice that said these words now gave Inkpaw a pure reason to be frustrated. Lovepaw. "Sure, that sounds great! When d'we all go? Now? Later? I mean, I'm always free, so it really doesn't matter. Well... I'm not always free since I want to be loyal to the Clan and I'll go on patrol of necessary, but then again, what you're suggesting is kinda a patrol, so yeah!" The she-cat had a rather delighted look in her eyes, wanting to go out of Camp.
The marble colored she-cat padded up to Dreampaw, nudging the silver tabby she-cat apprentice lightly. "C'mon, Dreampaw. You comin'? I mean, we could all probably catch some good stuff out there if we try hard enough. SkyClan needs it, y'know what I mean?" she meowed, her voice lowering slightly as she cast a glance over her shoulder at the two tomcats. "Just forget about this whole Bravepaw thing -- Inkpaw'll forget about it, so you should forget about it, and then the who thing'll just blow over like it never happened."
Oh, how Dreampaw longed to take comfort in Lovepaw's words! A deep sigh emitted from the feline's mouth as she gave a shake of her head. Pure worry and agony were etched into the very depths of her multi-colored eyes, showing how seriously she took the situation to be. What could she do to fix this? The she-cat stole a few more glances in Inkpaw's direction through her lashes, being extremely careful since she could still feel his hazelnut gaze burning into her pelt.
"I'm... not sure if I should go..." she meowed hesitantly.

Thistlepaw realized that he didn't exactly want Lovepaw to come along. Geez, was she chatty.
"Er, we could go now I guess," Thistlepaw suggested, slightly shrugging. "Unless you guys want some time to...er...think?" Thistlepaw was never good with these relationship things. He never really took interest in she-cats, so he didn't know what to say to Dreampaw and Inkpaw.

Inkpaw sent a side glance at Dreampaw, wondering if she would take control of Lovepaw and get the apprentices to just /shut up/. When the silver tabby didn't and just remained staring down at the ground as if she were tramautized, the black pelted apprentice took charge of the situation. "Say, Lovepaw... I think one of the warriors wanted to talk to you or something... One of them was talking to me about that or something... I can't remember who..." he meowed in a lethargic tone as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He did feel rather bad for lying, but he couldn't quite bear to hear all her words coming and hitting their ears all at once.
"Cool. I think we should go, then," Inkpaw concluded, jerking his head to the side towards the exit of the SkyClan Camp. Casting a glance at Dreampaw, the tomcat began padding forward.
"I think I'll just stay here," Dreampaw meowed finally, with a slight nod of her head. She still needed a little more time to think, and maybe, perhaps, she could speak to Bravepaw and attempt to get the whole entire thing sorted out so that she didn't have to live with this awkwardness for any longer.

Thistlepaw sighed, and walked over to Dreampaw. "Er, Dreampaw, I don't think it's going to be that great for you to stay here. I mean, if Inkpaw and I were to come back, and Inkpaw saw you talking with Bravepaw, he'd think you were staying here to be with Bravepaw..." Thistlepaw trailed off, having no idea where he was going with this.

"Well maybe I don't want to go!" Dreampaw snapped, frustration flickering in her eyes. Her patience and quiet demeanor had finally broken -- now she was just annoyed. Why couldn't she just talk to another apprentice without having the trust in her lower? Her tail slapped against the ground, causing a slight furrow within the rich earth.
Her outburst brought shame within her. How could she snap like that? Once again, her eyes lowered back to the ground. "I-I-I'm sorry, Thistlepaw. I'll go," she murmured softly, standing up and padding out of the apprentices' den and towards the direction of the exit of the SkyClan Camp, not looking back to see if the others were following.
"Dreampaw..." Inkpaw whispered, his voice barely audible as he stared after the silver tabby she-cat with his bright hazelnut colored eyes. A saddened affection inhabited her eyes, combined with a somewhat haunted expression. Dreampaw with Bravepaw? It just couldn't be. He stood up and not quite himself, began padding after the she-cat.
He had been quite surprised at her sudden, sharp words directed to Thistlepaw. For many moons he himself had had to face the sharp end of Dreampaw's tongue, but her words had almost never been directed against another cat -- and now, it happened -- twice in the same day, just minutes apart from each other?

Thistlepaw's eyes suddenly became cold, but softened slightly as Dreampaw's face became sad with shame.
"I don't know why you're acting so snappish. It's not like you and Inkpaw are the most important relationship in the camp," Thistlepaw replied out of temper. He didn't know why, but since Inkpaw and Dreampaw had been together, he had been on a rather short temper.
He continued to pad on, blue eyes pointed towards the sky.

ooc; I thought it was Thistlepaw? o-o;
bic; The silver tabby she-cat had a mixture of emotions in her eyes and in her mind, her head lowered in frustration as tears threatened and pricked at her eyes. Her eyelids were half lowered over her eyes, giving her a sense of utter unhappiness and depression. Her tail dragged along against the ground as a deep sign emitted from her mouth, her head shaking slightly.
How could she? How could she talk to Bravepaw? How could she talk to Thistlepaw like that? How could she bear to face Inkpaw? She cast a side glance at the tomcat through her lashes, seeing that he was padding up towards her. Fear pounded in her heart as she continued padding on, slowing her pace slightly to let the obsidian colored tomcat catch up to her.
What would he do? She didn't want to exchange any sharp words with him, not when she had just done that with some of her other fellow apprentices. A sunken feeling lay in the pit of her soul, making her feel extremely down as if she wouldn't be able to move on at all -- ever. Why, oh why? Why had she been caught by Inkpaw? Did fate really need to be like that, to have planned it out for Inkapw to pad in to the apprentices' den the moment she was speaking to Bravepaw?
Dreampaw's heart gave a slight flutter when she felt the familiar pelt brushing against hers and remaining in its correct place. Next to her, Inkpaw fell back into pace with her, matching her step with his. At this moment, the she-cat's heart nearly broke in two. Despite finding her conversing with Bravepaw, Inkpaw still found it in his heart to be able to interact with her.
The Inkpaw she knew from when she first met him would never have done this -- he would've been conceited and held his ground, not being sensitive at all. Now, Inkpaw was aware of how she felt, and attempted to make the she-cat he loved feel better, even though her actions might've completely shattered his trust in her.
ooc; Inkpaw && Dreampaw to SkyClan Ridge
