Lilypelt glanced down at her kitten again. "This is my daughter," the ginger-and-white cat meowed. "She doesn't have a name, because she died her first day." The queen said nothing more, watching as the other cats came and went, purring when she saw Dreampaw. The ginger-and-white she-cat- as well as every other cat in StarClan- had watched Dreampaw and Inkpaw's interactions since the two were young.
Owlpaw watched as Dreampaw appeared in StarClan's hunting grounds. She thought for a moment, wondering where Onespot would be. She glanced into the pool into SkyClan's camp. Onespot wasn't there, so she looked towards the Gathering Island. He would be there then. She would watch him as he met the other cats. She remembered always thinking how strong he looked next to the EarthClan cats, what with the amount of strength SkyClan cats had in their back legs and his large build.

"Why don't you name her now?" Dewstripe asked the ginger and white she-cat, tilting her head to the side to add to her question. "Surely she should have a dubbance sooner or later. I know if /I/ were a kit, I'd like to be named," she meowed, although it wasn't in a challening tone. She was just stating what seemed obvious to her, not telling Lilypelt that she had to do it her way. After all, Dewstripe had never experienced the love of a kit - nor love for anything after Raytail left her.
Dewstripe's ears flicked and she gave a sideways glance towards Moonrun when she heard his words about Northstar. A surprised feeling came over her, but she managed to keep it in and not blurt out the millions of questions that sprang to mind when she heard Moonrun's words.

Lilypelt looked down at the little tabby kitten. "Maybe..." she meowed softly. The tabby stared up into her mothers eyes, her own blue eyes blank. "What do you think little one?" Lilypelt meowed to her daughter. The tabby kit shrugged. "Don't care," she meowed in a tiny, squeaky voice.
"You should," Nightwing said eagerly. "That way we can call her without saying 'you there' all the time." Stoneheart nodded, agreeing with someone for once in his existance. "Nightwing's right," he meowed, paying no attention to the fact that Dewstripe had brought it up. "No cat can be a warrior without a name."
Lilypelt nodded, realizing what they were saying was true, and that she hadn't even begun to think of the kit's name before. The ginger-and-white queen hadn't wanted to think of it when she was alive for obvious reasons, and after her death, she just hadn't wanted to bother the tabby by giving her a name. The kit hadn't ever seemed to want one. Finally Lilypelt spoke again. "Let her be Dapplekit," she meowed. "For her pelt." Dapplekit glanced up at her mother, her face blank but her eyes shining. "Thank you mother," Dapplekit meowed. She stretched up to touch Lilypelt's nose with her own and the queen fell to grooming her newly named kit.

Berrybloom nodded, turning her gentle gaze over to the tomcat. "Yes it is my dearest Dreampaw" she meowed softly then smiled. With a wave of her tail she added, "I'm sorry but I must listen to something important she is going to tell me so we must be off" she touched her nose to his then turned and gave a small nod to Dreampaw and padded away into the trees. Her pelt shown like starshine.
Suddenly Berrybloom made a sharp turn to the right, in front of her was were vast hills with lots of green grass where Dreampaw would probably be most accustomed too since SkyClan's territory is so much like this. The medicine cat made herself comfortable on the top of one of these hills and turned her intent amber eyes onto Dreampaw. "Now, my young one, we are ready to talk."

Dreampaw was rather surpised at Berrybloom's sharp turn, but managed to not bump into the she-cat by swiftly turning with her dainty, lithe paws. Bounding after the she-cat, she finally settled down near Berrybloom, gazing at awe around her. It all looked so real and... just perfect. It was as if nothing were wrong in the world, although indeed, StarClan were the cats who watched over a world and made sure that when it was time for a warrior to join their ranks, that warrior let go of the real world and into StarClan.
"I just don't know what to do. Inkpaw keeps on hankering after me, even when I tell him to stop. He's just so /annoying/ and /conceited/ sometimes!" Dreampaw burst out, looking at Berrybloom intently with her sparkling sapphire and emerald colored eyes. "There are times when I believe he'd be an awesome friend, but he always ruins that little fantasy by boasting or trying to show off in front of me! Should I give him a chance or not?"

Berrybloom eyes glinted as the moonlight shone down upon them.
"If you sincerely dislike Inkpaw tell him in a serious voice and perhaps say he'd be better off with another apprentice. It isn't your fault if the young tom has affectionate feelings for you and you don't have these feelings for him." She paused to lick her paw then continued "if that doesn't work try to be around another tomcat whom pleases you and then, maybe, Inkpaw will back off knwoing that it isn't any good." Her eyes glimmered with laughter as she finished her last sentence.

A flicker of a smile appeared across his obsidian face before vanishing as Berrybloom touched noses with his, turning sharply with her daughter. "She's beautiful," he said softly after the disappearing she-cats, eyes lingering on Dreampaw's coat for a brief moment before pulling away. His multi-coloured gaze resided to a darker, opaque, anguished state, becoming cold and sealed in once more. Mysterious sorrow engulfed him once more, and as the moon-toed tom turned away, walked slowly towards the Gathering pool. Reclining to his powerful haunches, Moonrun set his gaze upon the silver leader once more. He read her facial expressions, and swiftly he whispered soothing words to her.
"Do not doubt yourself," he whispered, "Your judgement has always been wise." The onyx spirit warrior blinked, his long tail wrapping around his paws neatly. Just then his feelings became saddened deeper, and in the skies of the Gathering clouds began to wave, the darkness no longer clear, but dotted with small hazy puffs. He solely could not set the mood for the entire Clan, however because of his time in being in StarClan, his emotions did affect it quite some.

"But even if I do that, Inkpaw will just strike up a jealousy with whichever tomcat I chose. Cloudpuff is a possibility, but I don't even know if he likes me or if he's willing to be enemies with Inkpaw!" Dreampaw responded, looking at Berrybloom with yet another sense of pleading in her eyes as she looked at the medicine cat.
"It's too early to make decisions on who I want to take on as my mate," Dreampaw began, scuffing her paws on the lush grass with embarrassment at bringing up such a topic at such a young age. "But I don't know what to do. I believe that Cloudpuff and Inkpaw have already striked up a rivalry although I'm not sure about /what/." She finished her last sentence with a sense of exassperation as she remembered how the two tomcats sometimes glared at each other furiously.

Berrybloom thought then answered.
"Dreampaw, I know I shouldn't be telling you this but, perhaps you can ease your way out of this if you ignore Inkpaw completely. Showing him you are uninterested." Berrybloom's flashed a few glanced around her.
"I shouldn't be telling you this too but Cloudpuff has the same feeling about you as Inkpaw does. The whole of StarClan as seen" She blinked stifling her purr. She thought Cloudpuff was a could choice to fancy Dreampaw. "Sometimes there are things you need to try to work out yourself. Maybe you can get one of you fellow apprentices to help you."

"But... He'll just keep on trying and trying harder and harder to impress me until I have to say something. Besides, what if he actually /does/ do something that's worth being impressed? Like, what if he saves me life from drowning or from falling?" Dreampaw asked the medicine cat, tilting her head to the side. It was a habit she had - whenever she was confused, she would always lean her elegant head to the side, assuming a thinking position.
"He does?" Dreampaw meowed, surprised. She had never known Cloudpuff to be affectionate of any she-cat, much less her. She blinked, still with her head to the side. Cloudpuff. Yes, she believed that he was a good friend to her and he was always there for her, but she didn't know that his feelings for her were stronger than she had expected.

Berrybloom sighed softly "Perhaps you could ask Silverpaw for help? She is a good friend of yours, yes?" Her eyes gleamed as the prospet of mentioning Goldenwhisker's daughter. She was very fond of the silver apprenrtice.
The medicine mewed softly in laughter "Yes my dearest. Cloudpuff has had an interest in you for a while now. He is just a little to shy to admit it unlike Inkpaw." She herself sincerely thought Cloudpuff would fit Dreampaw. He was a kind tom and Dreampaw was kind too.
With a wave of her tail she murmured "I have been in your dreams too long. I must leave you, my dearest. I may come again to help guide your young pawsteps for one in your life shouldn't have to deal with so many unnecessary problems."
Berrybloom let the wind blow onto Dreampaw's face. It had a mixture of relaxation and drowsiness in its depth. She gave Dreampaw a lick on her head then took a step back to let StarClan's power do the rest.

Dreampaw wanted to call out to the medicine cat who was now in StarClan. Her mind swirled with her thoughts. She wished that Berrybloom had made whatever she had to say as clear as the current night sky, but that was the way that StarClan cats usually spoke to those in dreams, she had learned.
The lick on Dreampaw's head made that spot warm. It tingled slightly before fading away. A dawning hope ushered throughout Dreampaw. Perhaps she could finally give Inkpaw another chance to prove himself worthy of her affection. Perhaps.
However, she still couldn't forget about Cloudpuff, could she? Thinking about the tomcat, Dreampaw knew that she would never look at the white tomcat who was the brother of Azalealeaf ever again. Perhaps she could speak to Azalealeaf about this once the she-cat returned back from the Gathering that was going on currently.

Berrybloom watched as Dreampaw's body slowly disappeared then with a gusty sigh she sat down again. Young she-cats shouldn't be thinking about mates and all until they're warriors. Such an awkward position for Dreampaw.
The medicine cat turned to look into a silver pool. She gasped as she spotted a water soaked Silverpaw with a tired looking Inkpaw. They were talking quietly to each other next to a rushing stream.
What had she missed? She focused her amber eyes on the water until it showed Silverpaw rushing down the stream, her eyes wide with terror then a black figure leapt into the water. Silvepaw has almost drowned! She would have never guessed that Inkpaw would have been the one to save her. Berrybloom couldn't help but purr at the sight of the two apprentices.

Dewstripe nodded with agreement for Lilylpelt's name for the small kit. It certainly was fitting; she was sure that the kit would bear it well, even in StarClan. Did cats age when they got into StarClan? Surely the kit would get tired of always being a kit - she knew that she herself would get bored if that had happened to her. "If you'll excuse me," she told the cats she was currently speaking to.
Quickly, she made her way to Berrybloom who had just spoken to Dreampaw in the she-cat apprentice's dreams. "How're things going in SkyClan?" Dewstripe asked the former medicine cat, amusement glinting slightly in her eyes.

Berrybloom looked up at Dewstripe then spoke softly, "Dreampaw's having some problems with Cloudpuff and Inkpaw." She wrapped her tail neatly around her paws and sighed again. "Even StarClan can't help wuth those types of things, don't you agree?" she paused then added hastily, "I tried to give her the best advise I could but I don't think that's enough."
The medicine cat shook her head metally as she thought about Dreampaw. She shouldn't have to carry so much weight on her shoulders at that age. She should be as free as the wind.
