Owlpaw followed Onespot into the warrior's den, watching as he fell asleep. Now was her chance. She stepped back from the pool and waited. Slowly, her ginger-headed love materialized next to her, his side pressed against her own.
The tom looked around wonderingly. He whipped around to the side when he caught the scent of the she-cat he had missed for so long. "Owlpaw!" he meowed delightedly. "Is it truly you?" He pressed his nose into her fur and caught the faintest sound of a purr. The purr quickly died away. "Owlpaw? What's wrong?"
The she-cat narrowed her eyes angrily. "You know very well what's wrong," she meowed, her eyes like chips of green flint. Onespot shrunk under her gaze.
"Owlpaw," he meowed, "You know how I felt, and feel about you. You know you were the one that I loved more than anything, and I still do. But it's been moons. Don't you think that maybe I don't want to greive for you all the time? I've heard of a tom in EarthClan, named Shatterwind. He's been moping around and grieving for a long time, because he killed his friend. I've heard that some cats don't like to be around him because he's so sulky most of the time." Battooth had told him so at the last Gathering. The obsidian tom had said that Shatterwind was pretty much the only one who made Battooth feel a tiny bit depressed, if that were even possible. "I don't want to be like that," Onespot continued.
Owlpaw stood completely still while the tom spoke, her expression unreadable. "Onespot," she meowed when he had finished. "Did you think about how I might feel when you told her that?"
The tom nodded. "I thought you wouldn't mind," he meowed quietly. "Owlpaw, please? I love you, and no one could ever replace you. But Honeypaw comes very close. She's got your eyes, and she's kind like you are. But I won't go against your wishes."
Owlpaw stood still for another long moment. The silence was getting uncomfortable to Onespot, but he wouldn't be the one to break it. Finally the apprentice spoke. "Alright," she meowed. "I guess there's nothing I can do about what you feel about Honeypaw. I just wish that we had more time together."
Onespot began grooming his former apprentice. He ran his tongue over every inch of her head, listening to her purr. "I love you Owlpaw. Remember that." Slowly the tom began fading, and Owlpaw stepped back to watch as he went, sadness and love shining in her eyes. "I love you too Onespot," she whispered as he disappeared. "Take care of Honeypaw, like you did with me. Don't let this one die though."
The she-cat sighed as his scent faded. She looked around and saw Nightwing and Stoneheart walking up to her. "Did I do the right thing?" she asked hesitantly.
Nightwing nodded. "Yes," she meowed, pressing herself against Owlpaw's side. "You did a great thing. I'm sure both of them will thank you for it. And when they join StarClan as every cat must, I'm sure that you will let them be together then as well." Nightwing sat down as Stonepelt sat down on Nightwing's other side. "But you will still be friends. You will always be friends."

Ashbreeze withdrew from his gaze on the EarthClan Forest. Even though Shatterwind had long since disappeared from the scene in the bare forest, Ashbreeze had remained staring down, thinking for all he was worth. Raising his head from its bowed position on his chest, Ashbreeze looked around the territory that belonged to StarClan. Where the territory ended and StarClan no longer had control over it, Ashbreeze didn't know.
Dipping his paw lightly into the crystalline pool of water again, the scene grew cloudy for a few moments as if trying to decipher what to do. "The EarthClan Camp," Ashbreeze whispered, his words and voice barely audible. The water glowed for a few moments before forming an image of a bird's eye view on the EarthClan inhabitance within the EarthClan Forest.
In the scene, he saw the figures of Shatterwind, his fur bristling and his teeth bared out of anger, his lips pulled back in almost a snarl. Ashbreeze was surprised, but he remained calm on the outside as if he had no opinion of Shatterwind's behavior. What was causing it? Soon, more figures formed. There was Hailwind, the current deputy of SkyClan. And who was that black and silver character? Moonwind...?
It was indeed Moonwind. But who was with the tomcat? Ashbreeze watched as the water cleared and he could make out all the figures. A horrified expression crossed Ashbreeze's face when he realized who was standing next to Moonwind. The orange tabby she-cat. That malicious, beautiful she-cat. Amaryllis.

Tears streaked down Dewstripe's cheeks as her eyes locked on the figure that she had been watching for the past couple moments. Was it him? Was it honestly and truly him? Or was it just her mind playing tricks on herself in order to dampen the pain and sadness she carried upon her shoulders?
It was him. He was back in EarthClan.
"Oh, Raytail," she murmured softly, looking wistfully down at the brown colored tomcat, viewing the multi-colored gaze that was so often filled with fondness for her. There he was, talking to Dovekit of EarthClan. Crystalline tears fell, shattering on the surface of the StarClan Hunting Grounds like glass. Her tail curled around her frame, resting atop of her paws as her head remained in its bent down state. "Why?" she breathed softly, shaking her head.
Trying to summon herself out of her crying demeanor, Dewstripe blinked at Raytail through tears that somewhat blurred her vision and she knew at once what she must do.
She would go to Raytail in a dream.

Berryblossom Berryblossom ran through StarClan's hunting grounds, her amber eyes narrowed cautiously, her paws were as light as air itself. The ground whirled past as she skimmed over the lands, until she finally bounded to a stop, "Goldenwhisker!" The tan warrior was sleeping soundly with his tail curled around his body, for a split second, Berryblossom almost turned away. "Goldenwhisker? Please wake up!" The tortoiseshell begged quietly and prodded him with a paw. With a grunt, he opened one eye and stared at her crossly without replying. Here came the difficult part.
The she-cat exhaled deeply, her claws scoring the ground, "Goldenwhisker, your daughter is in serious trouble." At once the tom bolted to his paws but Berryblossom cut off to what he was going to say. "Silverpaw has fallen in love with an EarthClan warrior... he loves her in return. The conflict is small currently but it can grow larger within time. The only warriors that know of the secret are Oakheart and Wintersong of EarthClan." Berryblossom sank into a sitting position.
"Oh Silverpaw," Goldenwhisker murmured.
Berryblossom added on quietly, "Right now they are meeting up at the meadow where they can be alone. I saw in the puddles that their love is of the truest... unbreakable even," there was admiration and disapproval all at once in her tone of voice.

dewstripe; Her soft blue eyes stared at the starry figment of a ground, and she wordlessly drew a paw in a straight line. Her eyes were what betrayed her emotions; in them was a limitless amount of frustration, anger, passion, and wonder. Each and every emotion was curved and fit in exactly where another left off. Each and every emotion took up a spot in her heart and her mind.
It confused her.
Her eyes swept around her, over the deep, dark glades that made the StarClan territory so different yet so alike the terrain down on earth. She knew that it was here she had her final home where she would wait for those she loved to join her up here. Those she loved.
Raytail.
Lids fluttering like a butterfly's wings in order to keep back a fresh wave of tears, the she-cat raised her head and swept her tail. In that swipe, she made a resolution. A new resolution. In that swipe, she washed away feelings of guilt and unhappiness, feelings of relief and passion. In that swipe, she tried, no matter how hard it was, to forget. In that swipe, she tried, no matter how hard it was, to remember.
She had to stop; Raytail would not want her like this. He had evidently gotten over part of his grief, and it was time for her to stop mourning and start waiting.
Padding up softly to Goldenwhisker and Berryblossom, she acknowledged the two's presence with a slip of a nod of her head. "Goldenwhisker, Berryblossom," she murmured hoarsely. "How fairs EarthClan and SkyClan?"
It was a simple inquiry, yet she knew that there was a deeper reason why she asked this question behind simply wanting to know.
ooc; ughhhh. way too emotional, much?

Berryblossom
Berryblossom pawed at the ground, her ears tilting to the side, her breathing soft and quiet. Beside her, Goldenwhisker was as still as a cat made of ice, sniffling she glanced up as saw that his eyes were glazed over. She dropped her head again and sank toward the ground, hiding her face in her paws, "I just hope... I hope with all the power of StarClan... that whatever happens will turn out good in the end." The tortoiseshell sighed before looked up at the star-filled sky, her amber eyes glowed under the moonlight, she heard nothing in response.
A scent rolled across the grass, Berryblossom turned her head and saw Dewstripe, her eyes widened as she saw how the she-cat was looking dreary. The feline asked her question, the medicine cat's tail flicked nervously. Berryblossom meowed, "Silverpaw... and Eagledance have fallen in love," Her voice was weak with uncertainty. Changing the subject, she got up and she stood in front of Dewstripe, "Dearest... what's wrong? You look incredibly down." For a few seconds she stood still, her eyes trained on something they couldn't see, "Ah, Raytail."
Berryblossom glanced at Goldenwhisker as he finally got to his paws, his eyes dimming, "I... need to go check up on her." He paused uncertainly, "I- I never thought something like this would happen to Silverpaw... but reflecting on it now... I can see it happening." Blinking, he sharply turned and ran across the lush grass. Berryblossom sighed again before looking back to Dewstripe.
So much confusion and sadness...

dewstripe; She watched this exchange between all of them silently, her face passive and unmoving. When she heard the news about Silverpaw and Eagledance, however, her eyes betrayed a slip of an emotion, as surprise flickered through their azure depths.
When Berryblossom spoke about Raytail, she gave a slight nod of her head in order to tell that Berryblossom's assumptions were correct. This, however, did not change Dewstripe's way of viewing the situation. She attempted to push out all thoughts of the tabby tomcat, and for the most part, succeeded. Memories still flickered toward the back of her mind, and she pushed those even further back, though she was careful to not try to forget them. If she was to forget, then it would be of her own, unconscious accord.
"And have they been discovered by others not of StarClan?" she asked, taking on a worried tone as she spoke. Leaving her own issues at bay for a moment, she proceeded to think about Eagledance and Silverpaw, each cat for himself or herself. The two had never truly struck her as the type who would go around sneaking behind their Clan's backs in order to kindle some cherished love, but Dewstripe supposed that everyone always had a side to themselves unknown to most others.
For a moment, Dewstripe's gaze lingered at Goldenwhisker's retreating figure, and she thought for a fleeting instant on how he must feel about the forbidden love between the two felines down on earth. Helplessness was certainly an option of emotion, as though StarClan cats were considered the greatest of all, they could not necessarily alter events. They could try to prevent them or try to help speed the process up through dreams--but they could not reach a paw in to do something, and this, Dewstripe concurred, was the frustration of most cats living in the heavenly bodies above.

Berryblossom
Berryblossom shook her head, "No, they haven't been found out by the others. The only two beside Eagledance and Silverpaw are Oakheart and Wintersong. Oakheart found out because Eagledance is his friend. Wintersong... I have no idea how she got herself into this one. I know she loves Eagledance but... it's a strange how she appeared each time the two met..." Flicking her tail, the she-cat cocked her head to the side, thinking, "... I'm still unsure with what will happen, the future is too smudged for me to decipher." Frowning unhappily, the she-cat sat down and tucked her paws under her chest.
Her amber eyes glowed as she gazed at the other starry feline.
"How have you been doing, Dewstripe? ... If you don't mind me asking. I don't know if you could call this medicine cat instinct, I guess I picked it up from always checking for discomfort on my patients' faces," She gave her a small smile before it drifted away. Blinking kindly, she pricked her ears and listened to whatever the reply would be, whether Dewstripe opened up or declined telling her. Berryblossom just wanted to try helping her.

dewstripe; "I'm sure it's best if only those few know, though even that small group could prove flawed if times are played out in a specific order," the she-cat stated slowly, registering the former medicine cat's words in her brain carefully so as to not miss a single detail. She preferred to be updated about things, and liked to know what exactly was going on. Even in her current state, she was still always trying to be on top of things--quite typical.
"As for Wintersong, love makes one blind, Berryblossom. It makes a cat do things they never imagined they would do before, such as pursuing a cat whom holds their heart to that extent. It may seem rather odd for her to be popping up everywhere at once, yet one must put themselves in her shoes--someone you hold in very high self-esteem in that way is someone you just do not want to lose to anyone else.
"And for the future... Well, it is difficult to see. The only thing to do is to do all in our power to guide the cats down below; beyond that, it is in their paws." Her conclusion was sound, without a flaw in it she knew of, for she was sure that her logic was correct. Even still, she mulled over what she had said privately in order to double check for any errors in what she was saying. After all, most of what she said was her own opinionated belief.
When she came to Berryblossom's inquiry about her, the she-cat blanched and paused, the sudden flow of words in her staunching and halting. She tried to get words to roll off of her tongue--anything, just an idle few sentences or two--but she had to wait for a few moments in order to gather her thoughts.
"I am doing decently, though thoughts of EarthClan and Raytail plague me. That is a different matter, however, for the current issue at hand is what is important." Even though she said these words which were seemingly unselfish, as she wished to say that she would give up her own problems momentarily to help others, she did not feel much behind what she said. When she came to this realization, she recognized the signs that, yes, she was worried about the issues down below--yet even if she were to aid those, she would not stop moping about her own problems.
Selfish, selfish! A sharp reprimand entered her mind, and a wince crossed her face momentarily--yet it quickly vanished, just as Berryblossom's small smile. It was true: there was not much to smile about anymore, for it seemed as if a certain amount of gloom and bleakness shrouded everything--especially those who bore the weight of a secret.
"Do you think that perhaps Wintersong or Oakheart might feel the tension of keeping this a secret... and that they might tell?" she asked, apprehension flickering in her voice. &fin;

Berryblossom
"It's not that, dear Dewstripe, I understand all else but... it just strikes me odd she was always there." The breeze caressed her tortoiseshell fur and the the she-cat let out a light sigh, flickering her amber eyes to the stars all around them. As she watched, a feeling of frustration began to bubble in the pit of her heart, and her thoughts.
Why? Why could StarClan do nothing in times of need? The warriors below sought out their wise words yet it truth, just because they were dead didn't always make them wise!
Yes, yes of course they knew secrets. Many secrets but goodness, one slip of something, something said wrong, and the cats below could break out in riots. Fighting. Blood shed. The only way to stop them is to force clouds to cover the shining moon, never truly helping their problems and confusion. StarClan were just as helpless! Forbidden love and broken hearts... killing and decieving... Yet only prophesies are delivered.
If only I could really help. If only, if only.
Berryblossom blinked, and did a small leap back, her mind had been so wrapped up she hadn't realized she has drifted away from Dewstripe. The star-shiny she-cat turned and looked at her striped friend, dipping her head in apology before pricking her ears and listening to the reply.
"I am doing decently, though thoughts of EarthClan and Raytail plague me. That is a different matter, however, for the current issue at hand is what is important." The deceased medicine cat could feel waves of emotion flooding from Dewstripe but did not pry, not wanting to leave her unsettled or uncomfortable. Berryblossom closed her eyes and lifted her head, drawing in the energy from her surroundings. Oh, I wish that peace would come to all hearts. I wish it so. Her ears twitched as Dewstripe spoke again about Wintersong and Oakheart.
Grimacing, Berryblossom glanced back, "I'm not necessarily sure to be honest, Dewstripe. If one of them tells the secret, Eagledance's and Silverpaw's lives could be thrown into turmoil. Though, if they keep this love up it can still hurt others. Bravepaw and Wintersong, for example... Even Oakheart might be under pressure from holding onto this." Berryblossom flicked her tail before adding, "Nothing is simple anymore, as if it ever was," Her voice was quiet and a little distressed.
