"Thank you, Hailwind," Moonwind replied, dipping his head low, then walking off to the fresh kill pile, gesturing for Amaryllis to follow.
"Um, excuse me?" Fawn mewed, trying to be as polite as she could, her impatience only growing. What kind of leader-in-training was this if he couldn't even detect strange smells? She waited, her paw now making a small burrow in the snow, touching the cold, frozen earth.

Amaryllis dipped her head to the deputy in order to thank him for allowing her to stay until the Clan's leader came back from wherever he was to judge her. She followed after Moonwind after seeing the tomcat's gesture for her to follow. Looking around herself rather nervously, the flaming orange pelted she-cat stayed close to Moonwind.
She was scared; there was obviously no doubt of that. From the way Shatterwind had looked at her, that had frightened her enough. Still, she saw other cats in the Clan giving her queer looks while some others, probably recognizing her, sent her numerous harsh glares that sent a shiver up her spine as she met them with her own bright sapphire colored gaze.
"Moonwind," Amaryllis whispered, using the tomcat's name in her sentence, "I'm scared." It was a rather cowardly statement, but in truth, fear did show in her eyes as she looked up at the tomcat she had admitted her affection for. Sweeping her tail around, she curved it around herself and let it rest on her paws, seating herself.

"Yeah, what do you want?" Hailwind snapped as he turned to face the other cat who had been standing near him. Even though Hailwind was usually a mild tempered cat, he was short on patience and temper since he felt guilty about the fact that he had just dumped another decision upon Maplestar when his leader seemed to have enough already on his mind.
Something was odd, however. This cat speaking to him wasn't a warrior; her presence wasn't like a warrior's or an apprentice's. Immediately, Hailwind raised his guard as he whipped around to face her. "What're you doing here? This is /EarthClan/ territory; unknown and unfamiliar cats aren't welcome here. Newcomers aren't exactly helping right now; there's already too many mouths in EarthClan to feed over this upcoming leaf-bare," he demanded.

"Well, first of all, I'd like you /not/ to yell at me, I haven't done anything wrong!"Fawn snapped back, her short temper reaching it's height. "And I'm Fawn, for your information. I've come in search of a new home. My Tribe has been almost wiped out by a landslide, and I was one of the only survivors. I've been watching you for about three days. If your leader lets me stay, I will be loyal and hunt as much as I can. I won't eat anything today or tomorrow if I stay here. If you want me to leave, thats fine," she finished, rather curtly, anger still bubbling in her.

Oh great. And after he had just dumped some other problem onto his leader, this unknown she-cat just decided to waltz into the EarthClan Camp after spying on them for a few days and just scold him like he was a newborn kit who had done something wrong. "Fine," he spat, stalking away. He wanted to leave the Camp to think as well, but he knew that he couldn't just leave the Camp without a leader or a deputy. Sure, Ivorywing was there, but she was taking care of Bear currently and he didn't want to disturb his friend while she worked in her den.
Frustration laced through Hailwind's mind as he entered the warriors' den briefly. He had never felt this perplexed; Maplestar had always been there to help him when decision-making got extremely rough. Now, however... Well, Hailwind didn't like not knowing things and as the day progressed, it seemed as if he was getting less and less information.

Lunarsky left the warriors' den as soon as Hailwind padded in, looking rather irritated. She liked the deputy's attitude normally, but not when he was angry. When Hailwind was angry... Well, it was best to stay as far away from him as possible. Leaving the den with an agile and brisk stride, Lunarky looked around Camp for what could have annoyed Hailwind.
For a few moments, the ivory colored she-cat breathed in the scents that surrounded her, almost immediately picking out the scent that didn't belong. Looking straight towards the center of the EarthClan Camp, she found that there were not just one, but three things that were in the Camp that didn't quite belong. With her eyes scanning the Camp, she saw that a black-and-silver tomcat was with an orange tabby she-cat, both unfamiliar to her. They seemed occupied and if Hailwind hadn't driven them out yet, then Lunarsky decided not to do anything to them.
The third, Lunarsky saw, was a she-cat in the midst of the Camp. Padding up to the other she-cat, Lunarsky paused a few tail-lengths away. "'Ello," she meowed in a lilting voice, her Australian accent rather thick, although her speech was understandable enough if you listened and processed the words. The flower perched in between the space between her head and her right ear wobbled slightly as she gave a slight nod of her head towards the she-cat, but otherwise remained in its stable place. Fawn's ears tilted back in frustration as the leader-in-training. She turned her delicately formed head towards a white cat walking towards her. "Hello," she mewed, her ears still held at an angle, her paw now digging into the ground; she usually did this when she was impatient or irritated. She didn't really feel like talking, but didn't mind if she had to. This cat seemed rather friendly.

"Frustrated with Hailwind over there?" Lunarsky asked, jerking her head towards the warriors' den so that the she-cat knew who she was talking about. "Don't feel bad; he can be a real mouse-brained furball when he's angry; he'll get over what's troubling eventually," she explained in a carefree and breezy tone.
"Anyway," the she-cat meowed, "the name's Lunarsky; you?"

"Well, of course I am. I don't see that point in someone yelling at me when I didn't to anything wrong," Fawn hissed. "And my name's Fawn," she added more calmly. A chilly breeze ruffled her long, soft cream colored fur, and the fawn colored fur on her legs.

"He's got a lot on his min'. It ain't easy bein' de'uty in times like 'hese. Maplestar himself ain't all too happy either; it's been a long hard road for 'em to keep EarthClan safe with all these troubles," Lunarsky meowed, moving her shoulders briefly in a position that seemed almost like she was shrugging.
"'Nyway, what be bringin' you to EarthClan?" the ivory colored she-cat asked, curiousity in her eyes.

"My Tribe was almost all wiped out by a landslide, and I was one of the only survivors, so I set off for a new home, and here I am," she said, not including the part about watching this..."Clan". "And is that what you call you leader-in-training? A...a...deputy?" she asked, the strange name feeling odd on her tongue

"Yeah; we call 'em as deputies," Lunarsky meowed with a nod of her head. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Mysticflight approaching them. "'ey, Mysticflight," she meowed to the she-cat warrior, "can you go and check in on Hailwind in the warriors' den?" She jerked her head in the direction of the den. "He's in a mood 'gain; you seem pretty good at keeping' his temper stable."
"And by the way, this is Fawn," Lunarsky meowed to the calico she-cat with another nod. "Fawn, meet Mysticflight. Mysticflight, meet Fawn." With a slight purr of amusement, Lunarsky added, "I've always wanted to introduce two cats together like that; don't be askin' why."

Mysticflight nodded towards Fawn, not bothering to ask questions. However, she rolled her eyes when Lunarsky made a mention of her ability to calm Hailwind down. "C'mon... This isn't going to be my job now, is it? To have to calm Hailwind down when he's ticked off?" she meowed in a good-natured tone, amusement lighting her eyes as she turned and padded off into the warriors' den to speak to Hailwind.
Yet it was true; she was good at calming Hailwind down. Of course, Ivorywing was the best at doing it -- being Hailwind's best friend since apprentice days and also being medicine cat, but Mysticflight was at least able to do something. Maybe it was because she wasn't shy and didn't have any fear of Hailwind.
"Hailwind?" she meowed, her voice in a questioning tone but still firm as she entered the warriors' den.

The tabby pelt of Maplestar appeared in the entrance to the camp. He was panting slightly as he stalked through to the center of camp. Sitting down near the fresh-kill pile, Maplestar looked around.
Maplestar had thought long and hard in his time out of camp, and he had decided that if Bear wanted a chance, he would get it. No cat deserved to be grudged that much. And if anyone else came along, they would get a chance as well, as long as he knew about every happening in the Clan.
Speak of the ancestors...
New scents flooded over him and he grimaced. He let his fur bristle and he looked around. "Lunarsky," Maplestar meowed commandingly, "Care to introduce your friend?" He forced himself to not spit out the last word of his sentence.

Lunarsky looked up at the mention of her name, her ears pricking up slightly as she heard a familiar voice speak in a rather demanding tone. She was rather taken aback that Maplestar, even though he was a leader, had taken use of a tone like that. Turning to face him, she attempted to not have a sassy look on her face, but Lunarsky was Lunarsky and she couldn't quite help it.
"Now, look 'ere, Maplestar. I don' know what's bringin' you in to a mood 'ight now, but don' take it out on others," she responded in a smooth voice, looking at Maplestar with a defiant look written across her face. Even though Lunarsky dared enough to speak to her leader like so, she knew that she should do what he had asked her to do. If Maplestar got infuriated enough... well, that wasn't particularly something she wanted to risk.
"This 'ere 'tis Fawn, m'leader, sir," Lunarsky responded with a slight nod of her head. "This gal's tribe was a'most wiped out by a landslide an' she be lookin' for another home."

Maplestar's eyes narrowed in Lunarsky's direction, then turned to look at Fawn. "Welcome I guess," he said grudgingly. He had to remember what he had promised himself. Be nicer to all non-Clan cats, regardless of what they're like, he droned in his head. "
((I'm gonna have to fix this up later.))

((I can't fix up posts because I'm a guest apparently.))
Maplestar's eyes narrowed in Lunarsky's direction, then turned to look at Fawn. "Welcome I guess," he said grudgingly. He had to remember what he had promised himself. Be nicer to all non-Clan cats, regardless of what they're like, he droned in his head.
In a louder voice he said, "Welcome to EarthClan Fawn. I am sorry to hear about your Tribe." He looked slightly puzzled but pushed the look away. "You may stay if you'd like. We would expect you to pull your weight however." He honestly didn't care if she joined or not. He had let Eagledance join the Clan, he was caring for Bear, and he had let Raytail come back from a kittypet life. What was one more foreign cat?

"V'ry well, Maplestar. Thank you," Lunarsky meowed to her leader, giving a dip of her head in the tomcat leader's direction. "An', if I may be addin' somethin', Hailwind's got a mood. He be in the warrior's den," the she-cat added before finishing her words with yet another dip of her head and then gesturing for Fawn to follow, padded away from her leader.
"So, hun, what d'you expect to receive from EarthClan?" Lunarsky asked as she paused and looked over her shoulder to see if Fawn was following her. A placid and calm expression was written across her face as she looked up at the sky, seeing that there were just a few, pale golden rays of sunshine able to reach the earth, not offering very much warmth.
