Oakheart cocked his head to the side, "About what if you don't mind me asking?" The tabby tom glanced beind him to check on Bravepaw, the grey tomcat was sitting by the shore and looking out at the sparkling water, unspoken thoughts flickered across his dark blue eyes like minnows. What was he thinking?
The EarthClan tabby warrior swallowed nervously as she spoke about Eagledance and Silverpaw, he quickly decided to cover it up. "What do you mean? He only just wanted to ask her a question-- there is nothing affectionate about that. There is not time for favoring when they barely see each other. Today was just random, it wasn't meant to happen this way."
He suddenly became suspicious of her, his amber eyes glinted in the sunlight as he stook a step forward, "What made you think of that?"

[sont=verdana]"I was there a little while after Eagledance and Silverpaw met. I saw the affection in their eyes," Wintersong mewed, sadness laced into her voice. She tore her affectionate gaze away from Eagledance and looked at Oakheart. She saw that the tabby tom was looking at the grey apprentice. The anger in his blue eyes shown, and Wintersong thought that he must really care for Silverpaw. Wintersong's hatred for Silverpaw lessend. Because it wasn't like Silverpaw could control her feelings for Eagledance, and Eagledance couldn't control his feelings for the light grey she-cat apprentice. And Wintersong couldn't control her own feelings for Eagledance.
"I was thinking about... about..." Wintersong trailed off, afraid to let the golden and ebony tom's name escape from her lips, as if when she said it, he would dissapear forever. "Eagledance," she whispered to Oakheart quietly, her voice soft.

The jig was up; if she knew he might as well relax now. "I see," the tabby tom meowed, ears tilting sideways in exhaustion, "I know they can't hold in these feelings-- its uncontrollable. Its just so troublesome though..." Oakheart sat down on the hot sand, sighing deeply, his thoughts loaded.
His amber eyes flickered off of the ground, resting on the features of Wintersong's delicate face, watching her intently as she tried to answer his last question. Eagledance. Oakheart felt no anger, only a wave of sympathy for her and tried imagining Songbreeze loving anyone else but him... At once he felt jealousy, frustration, and hurt.
"Wintersong..." Oakheart murmured before lightly touching his nose to her own. He didn't know what to say, it felt as like his voice left his throat, for a cat that talked as much as him it was hard to believe this. The tabby tom blinked at her sympathetically.

Wintersong felt great gratitude towards Oakheart as he pressed his nose lightly against hers. "It's just so hard," she murmured. "Loving someone that doesn't love you back. I wish I didn't hav feelings for Eagledance, or that he didn't have feelings for Silverpaw. Why do cats have to have feelings Oakheart?" she mewed to him, her throahgt tightening. Her eyes glistened as she held back tears. She couldn't cry. Not now. Not in front of Oakheart.
Wontersong sighed, sweet smelling breath escaping her mouth into the cold leaf-bare air, forming into vapor, looking like smoke, curling up to the milk white sky. She closed her eyes breifly, catching the tears that were escaping onto her long eyelashes. When she opened them, she looked at Oakheart, her amber eyes filled with sadness and longing for Eagledance.

Bravepaw? Tall ebony ears twitched at the mention of such a name; so that had been that feisty apprentice who had been guarding her. Recognition told him to keep and eye out for that tom. Had Silverpaw not been there to calm him down, a fight might have broken out. Yet still, the exotic feline could not help but feel down at this--a love triangle was another whole Déja Vu for him once again. Eyes locked down to his paws, flexed in such a manner that they had become unsheathed, claws digging harshly into the soil below as his brows furrowed with frustration, eyes closed tightly. Lids pulling up, his eyes re-opened, hard slits boring an opaque hole of nothingness through his own soul as he stared into the dove-like eyes of the one he loved most dearly.
To hear her plead to him, voice filled with such sweetness, was a tone he never wanted to hear from her again. Spite filled within him, lynx-like tail undulating with defeat for a brief moment. To hear her in such a state broke his heart. Eagledance looked to her finally, truly, and with seeing eyes. "Aye," he whispered back. "I want t'see you again, lass."

Silverpaw&Bravepaw walking.through.the.pawsteps.of.fate
{{ How about they are talking behind that giant boulder where they first met each other? :D }}
It's a beautiful day Sky falls, you feel like It's a beautiful day Don't let it get away
With her heart beating like a woodpecker she took a light step toward him and gently brushed her head against his chest, the metallic silver she-cat was trembling with the effort of standing, her claws clung the ground but it was too late. Silverpaw collasped against her lover, letting out a single shaky breath, "Eagledance..." she murmured without reason before closing her frosty blue eyes-- resting against him while inside she was franticly trying to pull herself together.
Who said this was going to be easy? The SkyClan apprentice thought miserably, with a stubborn twitch of her tail she pushed away these thoughts and focused on Eagledance. Silverpaw breathed his scent, her fur tips tingling with want, before she realized what was happening she had curled her tail around him and was purring softly.
"I love you," she hissed quietly, ears tilting fully to the sides in complete comfort, she had him with her and that's what mattered most. Silverpaw felt her heart soar until, it felt like hours later, she lifted away with stable paws. "I was thinking... we could meet at the very edge of our territories? Oakheart could come along with you so you won't get in trouble, I'll slip away without Bravepaw this time. If Oakheart is willing to come, he can just hunt while we're together?" She whispered confidently. Just think clearly and we can make it through.
Touch me Take me to that other place Teach me I know I'm not a hopeless case

With a heavy sigh he moved toward Wintersong, quickly the tabby tom wound around her and gave the EarthClan she-cat a swift lick on the ear. "Without feeling we would be as silent as a rock. Without happiness the would world be grey. Without love there would be no kits. Without anger there would never be development. Without sadness there would be no caring cat at your shoulder. We thrive on emotion-- it may make it difficult on us sometimes but its a thing that brings color into our lives."
Oakheart's blazing amber eyes gazed deeply into her own, as much as he disagreed with Eagledance and Silverpaw's love he also respected it. To care that much for another cat, to want to see them and to fly along with them was truly to be adored. The warrior slipped away from her and gazed at the grey apprentice next the shore, his head down and his tail flicking nervously.
But of course some might get hurt in the process...

Wintersong let out a long, shuddering breath, and met Oakheart's amber eyes, his a shade or two darker than her own. "I know, Oakheart," she answered. "But I just wish... things could be different. That I would be the one Eagledance was pining for every day. That he didn't have any feelings for Silverpaw." Wintersong flinched at her own voice speaking the tabby's name, as though it hurt to say it, which inside, for Wintersong, it did. "I mean," she continued. "Imagine how it would be if Songbreeze had loved someone else besides you, even from a different Clan--not that she does or would, though." The ginger and ivory she-cat searched Oakheart's eyes, and found sympathy, respect, and dissaproval, all swimming in their sparkling amber colored depths.

"I know, Oakheart. But I just wish... things could be different. That I would be the one Eagledance was pining for every day. That he didn't have any feelings for Silverpaw."
Oakheart turned away from Bravepaw to look once more at his Clanmate, Wintersong. As she answered to him more sympathy washed over his soul, the tabby warrior swallowed uncertainly, not really knowing how to reply. He didn't have to just yet as she continued along with what she was saying, Oakheart blinked at her slowly, waiting for her to finish her emotional explanations.
"I mean, imagine how it would be if Songbreeze had loved someone else besides you, even from a different Clan--not that she does or would, though."
At the mention of Songbreeze the EarthClan warrior's face flushed and he looked away for a few heartbeats, when he turned to gaze upon the pretty she-cat once more, his eyes were glittering with understanding. "I can see the many reasons why you must be upset but," The warrior sighed deeply before gazing into her light amber eyes in hope that she will know what he is saying, "If Songbreeze ever did such a thing and I found out... I love her enough to respect her feelings."
The thought of Songbreeze with another tom made him wince-- he loved her so much... Oakheart dropped his head to gaze at his paws, his fiery orange eyes glazed over in thought, shaking his head in exhaustion he gave Wintersong a look of exasperation before padding closer to her side. "You don't know your destiny, Wintersong, there might be another for you in our Clan. One that will love you as much as you love Eagledance... things happen for a reason."
The tabby tom nuzzled her cheek in mild affection before shifting away and gazing out over the shining lake water. For some life might be so difficult, but he was sure something good was going to come toward then eventually. They just had to believe.

"You're right," Wintersong replied to the tabby warrior. "I don't know my destiny, and I should respect Eagledance's feelings. But I don't think I could ever love a cat a much as I love him," she mewed, her expression emotionless, except for the hint of sadness that glinted in her amber eyes as she said Eagledance's name.
The she cat felt grateful for Oakhesrt's support, and for his understanding of her situation, and a slight smile played on her lips as she looked at him, thankful that she had a good friend. "Should I tell Eagledance that I love him?" she asked. "Or would that just make things worse?" Wintersong assumed that it would just make everything more complicated for the golden warrior, but wanted Oakheart's opinion.

The sweet words that had escaped her silver lips drifted with nostalgically into his tufted tall ears, his heart doing several flips in return. While the reaction was envied, a fair amount of shock crept up and snagged the burning return affection. It began to strangle.
He looked up, studying her endless eyes for a brief moment. He thought he had replied back to her, letting his feelings explode from out of him; alas he did not. No words came from him. Nothing, absolutely nothing would, or could, be replied to her statement that he knew he'd been waiting for and dreading.
Eagledance did love her--his heart did, but his mind said not to. The confusion was evident in his body, however hard he tried to cover it up with a gentle blink and crooked smile. As she fell into him he smiled, but no chuckle escaped. It was difficult for him to laugh, strange as it might be. The exotic feline was knocked back from his thoughts when her honey-sweet voice drifted into his sensitive ears once again, soothing his concerns into a rolling river of calm. No white rapids today.
"Aye," he said, bending down and giving the top of her skull an affectionate lick with his rough tongue. "I don' want Oak'eart t' get into trouble b'cause of me, though. I couldn't deal with it if I got a fellow clanmate a 'eap o' trouble all fer my sake." Eagledance's tail contracted with the painful thought. "We'll see each other 'gain, though, my Sil'erpaw. I promise."
Dipping his head low, he nuzzled the side of her soft cheek, breathing in her sweet scent. Coming back up, his gaze had returned to a bright and generous flicker, tinged with the endless affection he held for the beautiful silver she-cat. "How 'bout we 'unt along th' border next time? Let's make it a date."

It's a beautiful day Sky falls, you feel like It's a beautiful day Don't let it get away
How can I dislike you? How can I not love you?
I felted chilled. Cold. All the same warm at his touch. I swallowed, feeling my gaze falter and with a bit of effort stared at him more intently. Hopefully with the little confidence I felt inside. Why was it so hard to try not to cling to you? I just want to be with you. StarClan forbids it but right now, right here with you, I could care less. I know of course that as soon as we depart... as soon as you seem to leave my existence... it was be much more difficult .
Brutal even.
I felt my ears twitch as a sudden realization came, that my heart was thudding with pain from the truth that echoed endlessly in my mind. Stupid heart. Shut up. Don't let him know you're worried. You mustn't. No matter the feelings.
Please...
I don't want to cause him hurt.
His voice came to me once again and I quickly focused on him. What do you think? Do you want to try my plan...?
"Aye," he begin and gave my head a gentle lick that I wished so much that I wouldn't have to wash away later. I wish it was a permanent mark.
"I don' want Oak'eart t' get into trouble b'cause of me, though. I couldn't deal with it if I got a fellow clanmate a 'eap o' trouble all fer my sake." His tail did something odd then.
"We'll see each other 'gain, though, my Sil'erpaw. I promise." Promise. A promise. His promise. His promise to me. This made me feel good.
I smiled as he brushed his head along my cheek and inhaled my aroma. I must have done something good to deserve him..."How 'bout we 'unt along th' border next time? Let's make it a date." Date? I could swear the puzzlement shone in my eyes. Date... Strange word but I think I knew what he meant. A meeting but not as plain... like a- a romantic meeting?
I flushed before flashing him a quick ivory smile.
"Sure," I agreed, I could feel my fur prickle with excitement at the next meeting. All alone. Perfect for us. No Oakheart... no Bravepaw... no Wintersong... no anyone. Just us. Heat coursed through my body making it seem like a flame of determination had suddenly been lit. "I'm be there."
"Silverpaw!"

"You're right. I don't know my destiny, and I should respect Eagledance's feelings. But I don't think I could ever love a cat a much as I love him."
The tabby warrior dipped his head with his head closed before murmuring softly, "At least try. For the sake of the tom padding after you one day. If you think it would be best to tell him your heart as already been captured... so be it." Oakheart's amber eyes were revealed once more and he gazed at her rather seriously but gently too. He hoped she was understand the delicatcy of the situation she had managed to sit in the middle of. Of course, she didn't mean for it to be like that-- it just happened.
He was glad she was taking this calmly even through the pain. The EarthClan warrior even saw the light of concern that passed through her eyes even before she had asked the question. Oakheart waited patiently, nervous for whatever she had to say next, he was a little good at keeping his emotions under control though. This served him a placid look on his face.
"Should I tell Eagledance that I love him?" Or would that just make things worse?"
Exhaling deeply, he blinked slowly at her before replying, "I think that would put Eagledance in an awkward position. He is the type of tom that wants to make sure everyone is happy, its part of his personality. This type of thing would be very difficult on him. Eagledance can't make you and... her--" he didn't say Silverpaw's name in case Wintersong would get frustrated or angry "-- happy at the same time. " Oakheart paused briefly then added, "Its already hard on him that he has to deceive his new Clan after all that he has done to gain their trust... and your own."
There was a small silence that was broken by Bravepaw.
"Silverpaw!"
Another small silence before the she-cat appeared.
Her friend trotted forward and shielded her from the two cats with his own body, both apprentices didn't look at either Oakheart or Wintersong yet but were occupied in their own worlds. Bravepaw seemed to be whispering urgently into Silverpaw's ear before she gave him a sharp look and murmured something in reply. The grey tom lashed his tail irritably with, Oakheart wasn't quite sure, a hiss in return. Silverpaw sighed before turning their direction toward Wintersong and Oakheart. The tabby took note of the way her eyes were carefully placed on the empty space in the middle of the she-cat warrior and himself, as if she was afriad her EarthClan friends might make a comment or ask a question to what had just happened between Bravepaw and herself.
"Hello, Oakheart and you Wintersong." She didn't look at them in turn but kept her frosty blue eyes trained behind us. "We shall be departing now. It was nice seeing you both again." Nodding curtly she swiftly turned away to where her companion was waiting and together, they padded farther into their territory leaving the SkyClan cats behind.

She was so close to him; he could feel her heart beat, skipping beats and fluttering just as her unlawful eyes did, winding him into a tight string of inescapable affection for that beautiful creature known only as Silverpaw. Inhaling slowly, enviously, the golden tom let his eyelids fall, glinting irises moving away from the world for a brief moment in endless time. He wanted this so dearly, finally he was able to grasp it, even for a millisecond.
Realizing that he had not exhaled, he let out a warm breath of air from his lungs as his eyes opened, grazing with delicate caution over her angelic face. "I'll be waiting," he whispered to her, a moment too late as the tabby apprentice wailed out her name. But how could it be used in such a coarse, hard way? Maybe it was only his sharp ears that caught the honey in her name.
Eagledance relenquished one last glance at her before slipping back to Oakheart's side. Pressing himself in between Wintersong and his friend, he was able to capture the last look at Silverpaw before their 'date'. What in StarClan had he said that for, anyway? It sounded nice all right, but... not the word he was looking for. He felt too confused and distracted to talk with her straight--that was good, wasn't it?
Yet again, he had been too distracted with his love to catch any of Wintersong and Oakheart's words. Merely, his tail undulated curiously for a moment, tall, lynx-like ears twitching. "I should prob'bly go. I'll get a'lashin' if I don' get back soon 'nough."

"Hi, Eagledance," Wintersong mewed softly to her Clanmate as he pressed himself between herself and Oakheart. To her brown tabby friend, she whispered very quietly, "I feel bad for Bravepaw. He loves Silverpaw." The ginger and white she-cat's heart ached for the little grey apprentice, because they were in the same situation, except for the Silverpaw was now lying to Bravepaw. Walking on with her friends, she sighed, her breath a cloud of mist in the bitter leaf-bare air.
