Inkpaw just barely heard Lilypaw's pleas; he was already too far away in his swimming. He shook his head, continuing to wswim away, not caring. He didn't even bother to attempt to assure her that he wasn't leaving the Clan. He just needed time to catch up on his sanity and to just be by himself for a while. He heaved himself onto the shore of an unknown, but quiet place.
The wind came and left, stirring up the grasses in the meadow. His coat was wet and it dripped with the amount of moisture his black longhaired pelt had picked up from his swim.
For the millionth time in those few moments, he thought of leaving the Clan, although he knew immediately what the answer would be. He couldn't leave Dreampaw where /Cloudpuff/, that stupid excuse for a tomcat /warrior/ was.
More anger added to his current anger, although the original frustration ahd died down a bit. This annoyance was just irritation; nothing like the white hot blaze of fury he had felt earlier. In fact, this wasn't even anger - just jealousy. What did Cloudpuff have that he didn't? Sure, Cloudpuff was a /warrior/, but eventually Inkpaw himself would become a warrior - probably the greatest warrior that all the Clans had ever known!
Scuffing his paws against the dirt and grasses underneath, he felt surprised at the softness of the lush grass underfoot. He purred at the break his paws got from the harsh, rough stone that he had to climb everyday, just to get around on the SkyClan ridge.

Lilypaw finally caught up with Inkpaw, dragging herself onto the shore. She wasn't sure if she should follow Inkpaw. "I-I-Inkpaw, " Lilypaw stammered. "I know it doesn't matter to you, and you're probably really really mad, mostly at me. And I know you are completely in love with Dreampaw, and you are determined to have her as a mate or at least get her to like you, but can you at least give me a chance? Please? I know you don't want to hear this and just love Dreampaw in peace, but it wont work like that. She thinks your big headed and annoying. And I know you don't care, but...but" Lilypaw struggled to find words. "Well...I love you just as much if not more that you love Dreampaw, and I know this got way more complicated than it was supposed to.Its probably my fault for getting you mad. I know you want Dreampaw here instead of me, in the full moon, all romantic, but I guess you got stuck with me." Lilypaw shook her head, and took a few steps closer ti Inkpaw, so she was almost right next to him.

"Listen, Lilypaw," Inkpaw began, turning his angered hazelnut gaze towards Lilypaw, his ears slightly tilted back - the beginning of having them being pressed back against his head in complete irrititation. "You need to learn to leave cats alone sometimes. /Stop/ chasing after me and bugging me. I love Dreampaw and you need to understand that I won't stop until she finally takes me as her mate." he meowed, shaking his head and walking away, slipping nearly soundlessly into the water.
He was just sick of it all now. What right did Lilypaw have to simply deny him his true love just for her own selfish reasons? Swimming away, he took a breath and pulled his head underneath the water, letting the moisture wash over him and soak into him. Rising up for a quick gasp of air, he returned back down.
He had no current motive - all he just wanted to do was swim away and to have peace. His tail helped along with his legs to push him forward. He continued swimming, not even bothering for the fact that he couldn't see. To him, it was just a mere whim that he couldn't see; all he wanted to do was just swim. Sooner or later, he bumped into the shore of land. Dragging himself upon it rather wearily, he sat down.
