The duo came in with a bounce to their step and eyes bright and playful. The handicapped apprentice beamed brightly as the immensely tall warrior padded in, long strides heavily outmatching his own stumbles and staggers. But yet they had picked up another passenger along the way--the dark chocolate brown, bright fire-eyed tom Dawnpaw. The tabby-coated apprentice grinned and laughed as Dawnpaw nudged him, pushing him between the well-muscled legs of Eagledance.
White-dappled chest expanded lightly as he chuckled joyously, jubilant that the two were getting along. With Twistedpaw's condition, he was graced to witness the beginning of a friendship between the two; whom, by 'clique' were quite different.
His massive, ebony-tipped ears pricked forwards, a chilled breeze tickling the tufts of sleek fur that stood erectly upon his long ears. The foreign warrior moved his illuminating tawny eyes over towards another group of young apprentices, only one out of them he recognized; Lilacpaw. He was anxious to hear all of their names when they became warriors. Possibly then he could have an apprentice of his own, then.
Dawnpaw let out a cry of laughter as Twistedpaw hobbled back over to pounce on him. Upon instinct he crouched low, and the tabby apprentice brushed against his back as he tumbled over him. He became concerned, worry flashing in his eyes as he lifted himself up swiftly to check that the disabled feline was all right. To his much relief, Twistedpaw was. The chocolate-furred tom was struck in envied awe, for as Twistedpaw lifted himself up with a slight stagger, looked at him and beamed. Dawnpaw truly was jealous of this; even with his set-down he did not become discouraged--this was something to admire, and indeed Dawnpaw did.
Sleek shoulders moved as he left the two tussling apprentices to themselves, happy that the tabby was getting some social-time. Turning away from them with a crooked smile, the foreign warrior glanced over to a she-cat and Smokeheart, giving each of them a small nod of recognition. He had not yet met the she-cat warrior whom was speaking with Smokeheart--whom did seem a bit hostile towards him, but was not mindful at this--and decided it would be much to rude to interrupt. Upon this Eagledance padded exotically to a rotting tree stump, settling himself down to give himself a quick wash.

A slim, lithe shape walked lightly from the warriors den, her ginger fur flowing around her as she walked. Her small white paws grazed the frosted earth as she walked past Eagledance, a glimmer of affection passing through her amber eyes as she looked over his features - strong and muscular, with a friendly expression on his face.
She reached the fresh-kill pile, delicious scents surrounding her now. She picked up a vole from the pile, and lay down, enjoying the suns rays that lined her pelt so that it gave her fur a healthy glow.

[RAYTAIL'S RETURN FROM THE KITTYPET LIFE]
Paws pounding on the ground furiously, churning up the land. The wind whistling through the trees that were bare with just a few leaves at times covering their stark and dry branches. Moist leaves on the ground caused the ground to be slippery, but the tomcat had just one word -- or perhaps name -- stuck in his mind as he raced across the land. Dewstripe.
How could he have left her, his one true love? Muscles worked furiously underneath his brown tabby fur, excitement dancing through him at the thought of seeing Dewstripe again. The joyfulness of seeing the entrance to the EarthClan Camp was dulled slightly by the fear of what the EarthClan cats would do to him once he returned back. How would they treat him?
Throwing caution to the winds, Raytail ran into the EarthClan Camp. His green and blue eyes that hinted a bit of yellow in them looked around wildly for Dewstripe. Where was she? He saw some familiar cats as well as others he didn't know. Dewstripe. Where was she? He stood there, his eyes darting around and trying to catch the sight of the familiar gray tabby.

A slim, muscular shape ambled into the cap, carrying two mice by thier tails. Waldoaw was surprised to see a new cat with the stench of kittypet on him. He walked to the fresh-kill pile, dropped the mice, and went over to the new cat. "Who might /you/ be?" He asked, not hissing, but not friendly either.

Raytail looked in surprise as an apprentice he didn't know padded up to him. He tilted his head to the side, examining the apprentice for a few moments. Moments later, a blue-gray apprentice had bounded over next to the one who had begun to interrogate him. His gaze filled slightly with amusement as he heard the blue-gray colored apprentice [Lilacpaw] remark, "Whatcha got here, Wildpaw?"
"It's Raytail," Raytail responded, looking at both apprentice. For a brief moment, he forgot about Dewstripe, but then he recalled why he was back in EarthClan Camp. He looked intently at the apprentice, wondering what he was going to do to him.

"So, lazy..." Songbreeze began, amusement passing through her eyes as she look at the brown tomcat. Crystalrose had, many moments before, gone off to speak with Maplestar about something. Songbreeze put a mental note in her mind to interrogate and blackmail Crystalrose until her she-cat friend told her why she continuously spoke to Maplestar. "What do we do now?" she asked, jabbing Oakheart in the side again to see if he was still awake. A purr sounded in the air, laughter clearly in it.

"Well, you should go to Maplestar, if you want to stick around here, bu tI don't know if he'll let a /kittypet/ in", Wildpaw mewed, before turing away to sit next to Lilacpaw. His ears burned with embarresment as thier fur touched, but he didn't pull away. He rather liked the warmth of Lilacpaw's fur on his, and maybe something else...

Oakheart, who was going into a doze, straightened up at the jab. He blinked his fiery amber eyes a few rapid times in his drowsiness. "We could go for a walk" he suggested a sly grin placed on his face "besides the fresh-kill pile is stocked and there isn't anything left for us warriors to do." He stood up from his splayed out position on the forest floor and stretched. His muscules strong and hard under his thin, tabby pelt. Oakheart gave his chest fur a few swift licks to smooth it from his ruffled state.
"How about it my pretty lady?" he asked, amusement and affection were in his words as he gazed into her emerald eyes. He padded forward and purred softly, his pelt brushing against her own as he waited patiently for an answer.

Songbreeze purred at Oakheart's comments, but flicked his ears with her tail. "Flattery'll get you nowhere, monsieur Oakheart," she meowed in response to the tomcat, enjoying the warmth that his side gave to her own side as he touched hers lightly. "A walk sounds fine, I s'pose, as long as you don't fall asleep on your paws!" she added, amusement flickering in her gaze as she agreed to Oakheart's idea.

Raytail's fur bristled as the apprentice called him a kittypet, but then again, wasn't he one technically? He wanted nothing better than to sink his teeth into the apprentice's neck, but decided against it. He couldn't ruin his chances of staying and finding Dewstripe when he had just arrived back at the EarthClan Camp, now could he?

"Are you lookingfor someone?", Wildpaw mewed, seeint the strange cat's eyes darting around. He flicked hs tail around, and suddenly it touched Lilacpaw's. He drew it away carefully, putting it neatly on top of his paws.

Oakheart smiled, "well then we should get going." He padded forward and glanced back at the pretty she-cat to see if she was fallowing then continued on his way. A purr rumbled in his chest as he padded forward. He was going on a walk with Songbreeze, out of all cats she accepted him. His tail flicking back and fourth with affection as he thought.

"No falling asleep, now, remember," Songbreeze meowed to Oakheart with amusement as he followed the tomcat out of Camp, laughter still dancing through her eyes at the thought of what had happened earlier. Towards the exit of Camp, it got quieter and quieter, for all the cats had mostly clustered about in the center of the Camp. She was glad for the peace and quiet that surrounded the forest.

Lilacpaw's ears twitched with surprise at Wildpaw's cautiousness with his tail, but decided to ignore it for now. She returned her gaze to looking at the newcomer whom had kittypet scent marked throughout him. She tilted her head to the side, looking at the tomcat and waiting for him to respond to Wildpaw's question.
"Dewstripe," Raytail answered, his multi-colored eyes gazing around for the familiar gray tabby she-cat. Where was she? Sadness lined his features as he couldn't catch any sight of the gray tabby she-cat. Had she gone out on patrol, perhaps? He looked back down at the apprentice who had, at first, contradicted him. Wildpaw felt uncomfortalbe, for he had heard of the deceased warrior. "Um, well, she's...not with us anymore", Wildpaw mewed, looking into the older cat's unusual colored gaze.

The tomcat apprentice's words struck him like a blow straight to the face and the mind. "What...?" Raytail whispered. Had he perhaps heard the apprentice wrong? "You must mean she's on hunting patrol or something," he meowed, trying to believe in the words he said. What did the apprentice mean that Dewstripe wasn't with them anymore?
Lilacpaw, understanding the need for being sensitive, remained quiet as she gazed at the older tomcat warrior with a look of concern passing through her eyes as she waited for Wildpaw's answer. It seemed as if Wildpaw was a much better choice for speaking to this new cat than her, for she knew that she would have immediately blurted out the truth, instantly hurting the poor tomcat for life.
