"Well, that was cheesy," Inkpaw remarked to Dreampaw, whose head still remained in its position on lying on Inkpaw's shoulder. "She thinks that she loves me more. Well, apparantely, she doesn't know. She doesn't know how to leave cats alone," he hissed, slapping the vole with his tail. The corpse of it bounce a few times before it landed in the fresh-kill pile. It was rather odd -- Inkpaw's tail actually had accuracy to manage to land a piece of fresh-kill back into the pile. "And she's wasting fresh-kill like that. Doesn't that mouse-brain know that other cats need food more?" Dreampaw, not knowing what to say, simply kept her spot seated next to Inkpaw, not wanting to contradict him nor wanting to agree with him.

As Lilypaw walked into camp unsteadily, she saw Inkpaw flicking the vole back to the fresh kill pile ,and heard what he said. She didn't care, one day he would fall in love with er, one day when Dreampaw wasn't there to scold her or charm Inkpaw.
She sent a glance at Inkpaw, and caught his eye, all her affection for him flowing into her ocean-colored ones. She sat down a tail length from Inkpaw and Dreampaw, and put her paw out to stick it back in place. She held her paw in her teeth, and put it back in place with a clicking sound. She inced as she did so, but still looked at Inkpaw, affection gleaming in her eyes.

Inkpaw purred to Dreampaw, the same amount of tenderness and affection as always as he gently ran his tongue over the top of her head. Dreampaw gave a purr in response, the same love for Inkpaw sounding in her purr. "I love you, Dreampaw, and I always will," Inkpaw purred softly to the she-cat apprentice, affection clouding his hazelnut eyes as he looked at her dainty frame next to his.
"And I love you, Inkpaw, and even when you're a mouse-brained furball, I'll love you," Dreampaw purred in response to the tomcat apprentice, her tail entwining even tighter with his tail as she said the words, emphasizing that she was telling the truth. Looking up, she met his own affectionate hazelnut colored gaze with her own exotic sapphire blue and emerald green gaze.

Lilypaw hissed to herself as the two cats purred to each other. "That stupid mousebrained furball!" She whispered to herself, sending yet another venemous glare at Dreampaw. She padded over to them, forgetting Inkpaw's words.
"Do you want to go hunting?" She asked, to Inkpaw and Dreampaw, although she looked at Inkpaw with tenderness and affection.

"No!" Inkpaw hissed again at the she-cat apprentice's question, seeing the glare that she had sent Dreampaw. "I'm not going hunting with someone who can't be civil towards Dreampaw! Don't give me that whole load of how you're supposedly love me more than Dreampaw does because you don't even /know/ how much she loves me! If you don't know how to leave me alone, I suggest you don't get near me for I won't talk to you much longer!" he spat, anger pasing through his hazelnut eyes. His gaze softened as he looked back at Dreampaw, sending a purr to her and wrapping their tails even tighter together. "You have to learn when to leave other cats alone!" he added, frustration written on his face.

"I'm sorry", Lilypaw mewed, sending a glance in Dreampaw's direction, anger burning inside her at Dreampaw, but showing only friendliness in her eyes and voice. "I was going to ask if Dreampaw wanted to come, but now, I guess you don't want to talk to me for a while." Lilypaw met Inkpaw's gaze evenly, affection still showing in hers.

"So you've learned," Inkpaw meowed tartly. He turned to Dreampaw, his harsh hazelnut gaze softening as he looked at the silver tabby she-cat apprentice that he loved with such a burning passion. "Come on, Dreampaw," he murmured softly in Dreampaw's ear, beginning to pad out of Camp as she raised her head from its position on his shoulder. He flicked his tail in order to tell Dreampaw to follow him.
Dreampaw sent a glance towards Lilypaw before standing and following Inkpaw, confusion as well as affection lingering in her sparkling eyes as she followed the inky black tomcat apprentice with quick and light steps. She only had to wait for a while and walk at a slow pace until Inkpaw drew back from his rapid pace to press his pelt against hers, purring all the while. Slowly, the two made their way out of Camp.

Mistheart glanced back at Honeypaw, spotting Onespot over the young she-cat's shoulder watching the apprentice. She looked back down at Honeypaw a small look of amusement flashing across her face before it was thrust away again when she heard what the she-cat had said. "Flamefoot is having trouble with Mai becoming a part of the Clan," she told Honeypaw warily. "Flamefoot's had tough luck with cats outside of Clans and doesn't want them coming in and as she says, 'ruining the Clan and disgracing the warrior code'. She's sensitive about that stuff. I, being the mouse-brain I am, told her to shut up. She lost her temper, and now she's in the elders den, being soothed by the retired warriors." Mistheart shoook her head angrily. Flamefoot had no right to get that angry about something like a new Clanmember. It meant more claws would defend the Clan, more cats to train apprentices, and more teeth brringing in more prey.

Mai shifted uncomfortably underneath Cloudpuff's penetrating golden gaze filled with tenderness and affection. Looking around, her sapphire blue eyes searched for a she-cat she could converse to about her current situation. Her expression brightened as she saw Mistheart speaking to an unfamiliar younger she-cat. Standing up, she padded over to Mistheart. She was aware of the fact that Cloudpuff's golden copper gaze followed her every step.
"Mistheart," Mai meowed, using the gray she-cat's name that she had just learned a few hours ago. She stole a glance in Cloudpuff's direction. "What is Cloudpuff doing?" she asked uncertainly, a desperate look glimmering in her eyes as she awaited the gray cat's response. Perhaps Mistheart would know why Cloudpuff was looking at her in such a way that made Mai nearly shudder.

Honeypaw looked up at Mai, a somehow knowing expression coming across her features. "He loves you", she mewed. "He's loved you since you came here. Love at first sight." As she said her words, she saw three apprentices, two of which were leaving and one who was crestfallen - in fact, more than crestfallen. She fixed her gaze again to Mai, and waited for her answer.

"Love?" Mai responded uncertainly as she turned to look at the smaller cat whom had spoken to her and gave her an answer. Although she knew the meaning of the word, she had almost never heard it before used in a sentence. "Cloudpuff /loves/ me?" she murmured softly, stealing yet another glance in the direction of the white pelted tomcat warrior. "He /loves/ me?" she repeated, this time not using his name. Scuffing her paws in embarrassment, she looked to Mistheart to see what the gray pelted she-cat warrior had to offer in response.

Mistheart nodded after looking at Cloudpuff for a moment or two. "Seems like it," she meowed amused. "He's been padding after Dreampaw for a while. You must be something special." She touched Mai's shoulder gently with her nose, purring softly.
Mistheart stepped back, wondering if maybe she should say something about Flamefoot. "Look, Mai, about my ginger friend Flamefoot... She's just a bit wary about cats born out of Clans. She glanced around and leaned closer to the two she-cats. "Her mother was Clanborn, but her father was a rouge. He left them just after they were born, and Flamefoot doesn't want any other rouge or kittypet or loner to come in just to leave." Her voice was low and intesnse. "And if you tell anyone what I just told you both, I'll make sure you don't eat for moons." She realized what she had just done and felt rather guilty. It was Flamefoot's secret, but Mai had a right to know why Flamefoot was being so unreasonable to her.

Even though it wasn't a possibility for cats to blush, it could almost be viewed that a slint red tint appeared for a few moments in Mai's cheeks. She looked down at the ground, embarrassment lining all of her features as she heard Mistheart confirm what the younger she-cat had told her. Love? Cloudpuff... In love? With her? It was just so hard to believe. Although she was disbelieving, one look in Cloudpuff's direction and meeting his tender golden copper gaze told her that he truly was in love with her.
Mai blinked in surprise as Mistheart relayed the ginger cat's -- named Flamefoot, as Mistheart had said -- story to her. The strong-willed warrior that had interrogated her at first and hadn't wanted her to come to the Clan actually had blood that was running in the same area as hers? She couldn't believe it, but what use would it be for Mistheart to lie to her? "I'll tell no one," she promised with a nod of her head.
At this moment, Cloudpuff decided to intrude upon the conversation. He settled down next to Mai, his pelt pressing firmly against hers. He let another series of purrs issue from his throat as she didn't pull away. "Hello," he meowed to the other two she-cats there; Mistheart and Honeypaw, of course.

Silverpaw gazed into Bravepaw's eyes, affection glittering in their depths. "You're the prettiest she-cat in the world" the grey tomcat meowed, loud enough so that any cat in camp could hear. The silver she-cat purred and nuzzled him in the cheek then stood. A moment later Bravepaw was standing too, "where are you going?" he asked some hurt crawling into his eyes at her sudden retreat.
The silver she-cat rasped her tongue over his ear in a soothing sort of way, "just out of camp" she paused, "I feel like I need some fresh air" her breath stirring his ear fur as she whispered. She liked Bravepaw's warm fur and the affection that gleamed in his eyes but she just felt a little awkward even after saying she love him. The apprentice wasn't quite sure if these feelings were true.
"I'll come with you!" he chirped, Silverpaw winced. She didn't want to dampen his happy mood. She smiled lightly as Bravepaw purred and brushed his fur gentility against her own. As his body touched her, she felt his chest vibrating from the tomcat's deep love.
"I was hoping that I could go alone" she meowed softly, as soon as the mew left her mouth Bravepaw shot a look at Inkpaw as that inky tomcat left camp, his mouth opened as though he were about to speak but Silverpaw brushed his muzzle with her tail tip. "I'll be fine," she paused some amusement passed into her eyes "worrying about me are you?" Bravepaw dipped his head and brushed against Silverpaw's flank before she turned and began to trot gracefully away.
She glanced back to add a quiet farwell, "I'll see you soon" then slipped with elegance out of camp. Her steps delicate and dainty.

Oceanwing heaved a mental sigh of exasperation, although she didn't let it show on her features as she looked around the SkyClan Camp, trying to determine who would be good company for her currently. Out of the corner of one eye, she saw Cloudpuff, Mistheart, Honeypaw, and the new cat that she had learned of earlier when the news of it spread throughout the Camp like wildfire. "They say her name is Mai," Oceanwing meowed to herself quietly as she looked at the cream-colored cat, interest passing through her eyes as she caught a glimpse of the tenderness and affection remaining in Cloudpuff's eyes as he looked at the she-cat.
Looking around, her eyes also found Ravenfeather and Azalealeaf seated together. It was interesting, and Oceanwing couldn't help but purr to herself as she saw the black and white contrast in their pelts. Padding over to them, she tilted her head to regard the white she-cat whom favored her son, Ravenfeather. "Ravenfeather, Azalealeaf," Oceanwing greeted the two, flicking her tail and ears as another greeting to the two.
