Cloudpuff remained seated at the entrance of Musicsoul's den, excitement making him ripple all over with delight at getting Dreampaw to be impressed with him. He was certain that Dreampaw was about to fall for him and that she absolutely detested Inkpaw.
His tail twitched back and forth with apprehension as he waited for the medicine cat to return from her meeting with Ivorywing, the EarthClan medicine cat. Impatience made him pace back and forth as he kept on glancing up to see if Musicsoul had entered Camp or he often looked up to gaze at Dreampaw, affection glimmering in his eyes as they swept their golden gaze over her what he thought beautiful silver tabby coat as well as her luminous eyes that seemed to sparkle like the stars that shone overhead during the night. Silverpaw watched as Inkpaw padded past her. He had seemed so much more happier earlier. As he flicked his ear toward her, she smiled a little and dipped her head in a polite manner. What had happened to him?The silver apprentice rose up delicately and padded quietly beside him, wanting to know the reason for his slow movements and dull eyes. After a brief moment she licked his ear soothingly. Perhaps she could /try/ to comfort the saddened apprentice.
---x---
Bravepaw watched Silverpaw and Inkpaw from across camp, his ears flattened somewhat in fustration and anger. Why did she care so much for /Inkpaw/ and not /himself/? Why? Eyes blazing with anger he whipped around and stalked across to the apprentices' den. Once inside he curled up in a nest and shut his eyes tight. A long while passed, as Bravepaw began to doze off a single name escaped his thoughts.
Silverpaw.

Inkpaw managed a weak purr, but padded away from Silverpaw, his gaze fixed on Dreampaw. He moved up close to her until their pelts touched. "Dreampaw, can I have a word?" he asked her, drawing in her sweet scent.
Dreampaw blinked at surprise for Inkpaw's boldness, but rather liked the warmth she got from his pelt touching hers. "...Er... sure..." she meowed, pulling away and padding a few steps away from the Camp clearing. She sat with her tail curved around her petite frame, waiting for Inkpaw to speak.
"Northstar forbade me to talk to you all during tomorrow unless you talk to me first," Inkpaw meowed, his hazelnut gaze intense as his eyes locked with her own multi-colored eyes. Dreampaw didn't quite know how she felt; happy because he wasn't going to be able to annoy her or pity because he couldn't talk to her.
"Oh," she responded simply, having nothing else to say.

Silverpaw looked down at her paws. At least she had gotten him to purr, it had been weak but it was something to show that she cared. Her attention was attracted to the strong scent of Bravepaw. Her eyes scanned the clearing, he wasn't there. Apprentices' den or hunting were two sollutions that popped up.
With a mental sigh her stomach rumbled. The she-cat glanced at the fresh-kill then to the entrance to camp. It was her duty to bring in prey so that was what she was going to do, after she finished hunting she could get a piece of fresh-kill to eat. Though some company would be nice. She trotted off to hunt, her elegent head held high. As she was nearing the camp entrance she flashed her icy-blue eyes around the camp clearing.

Skypaw's sky blue eyes widened at Bravepaws anger. She took light steps towards Inkpaw and Silverpaw. "Hey guys" She mewed, her voice like a honey. "Whats wrong, Inkpaw?" She asked, concern growing in her blue eyes. She like Inkpaw alot, his spirit, his determination, and his passion for Dreampaw. ((No, she doesn;t love Inkpaw)). She was probably the only cat that didn't annoy him about Dreampaw.

Right when Silverpaw took a paw step out of camp she turned back around and bounded over to Dreampaw and Inkpaw. She didn't want to be alone like she usually did. She wanted company which was very unsual for a she-cat like herself. She stopped in-between them and smiled, her eyes were twinkling like morning frost.
"Hi Inkpaw, Dreampaw" she meowed softly then turned her eyes to the tom apprentice. "Inkpaw, I know something happened to you and, well, I thought maybe a bit of hunting would be okay for us both" she paused and added quietly, "I was going to go alone but I don't feel like being alone today."

"Can Dreampaw come too?" Inkpaw asked, determined to impress Dreampaw at least once before he would have to go on his vigil of not speaking to her or going near her tomorrow. He brushed his pelt against hers yet again, surprised to find that she didn't pull away from his touch.
I'm going to catch the biggest squirrel or rabbit or just the biggest piece of prey that Dreampaw has ever seen! Inkpaw thought to himself excitedly, although his anticipation didn't show on the outside.

Silverpaw blinked, unsure how to reply but her kindness took control of her mind. She only wanted to have one other cat to accumpony her not two. "I suppose but it'd be easier to hunt as only /two/" she murmured quietly.
She didn't like being around a lot of cats at a time. Yes, she belonged in a clan with lots cats but she usually stayed away and kept to herself. On Gatherings is when she felt extremely awkward and quiet, not wanting to share news to SkyClan cats. She only felt comfortable around Bravepaw and Inkpaw.

"But why?" Inkpaw asked, emphasizing the word 'why'. On normal circumstances, he would've been using his whining voice and he would've stressed the word 'why' as well as making it become 'whyyyyyyyyy', but right now, everything wasn't normal with having to fulfill his punishment looming overhead in the distance.
"It's all right, Inkpaw," Dreampaw murmured softly in Inkpaw's ear. "I don't need to go." she told him, flicking his ears with her tail.

Silverpaw hadn't heard Dreampaw and answered Inkpaw, "hunting as two can help get more prey for the clan since its faster. Then we can eat a piece of it" she meowed, a bit of laughter entered her voice as she finished her last sentence.
The she-cat glanced at the rising run. It was as though a red, pink, purple, and orange paint brushes had painted the sky.

"But we would get more prey by bringing Dreampaw along! She's a great hunter," Inkpaw purred, turning and looking at Dreampaw, more affection gleaming in his eyes as he examined her. "She'll help us bring in a lot more," he added.
Dreampaw tilted her head to the side, feeling rather akward at Inkpaw's praise. Normally she would've yelled at him for not going /immediately/ and catching prey for the Clan, but she just felt rather... odd.

Silverpaw shook her head slightly "its okay, Inkpaw, nevermind" she meowed softly then padded away to the entrance to camp. Without another word she departed, the end of her long, fluffy tail disappearing.

Azalealeaf returned back to Camp, carrying what she thought was a dissappointment of an amount of prey after hunting nearly all night. She carried only a thrush and a vole; it was easy to see that the leaf-fall that was soon going to change into icy leaf-bare was taking its toll on the prey animals -- so it took its toll on the SkyClan ridge. She winced at the sight of the fresh-kill pile that was slowly becoming painfully low.
Tossing her offerings into the diminishing pile of fresh-kill, she didn't take anything for herself, although her belly rather longed to. She would share with another cat so that they didn't have to take twice as much from the fresh-kill pile. Perhaps she could share with Cloudpuff who was sitting at the entrance of Musicsoul's den, appearing quite irritated at Inkpaw who was with Dreampaw a distance away.
Out of the corner of her eye, Azalealeaf saw Ravenfeather looking up at Silverpelt. She rather liked the tomcat; he seemed like he had a firm belief in StarClan and he was reasonably handsome and shy. She shook her head and purred with amusement at how the two brothers -- Ravenfeather and Inkpaw -- were so alike in looks but so different in personality. Ravenfeather was more of the quiet type while Inkpaw was quite loud and boisterous.

Inkpaw watched Silverpaw's retreating form for a few seconds then turned to gaze at Dreampaw, affection gleaming in his eyes as he studied her. "Do you want to go on a walk with me?" he asked her softly, knowing that the following day he wouldn't be able to speak to her at all unless she talked to him first.
Dreampaw, knowing how heartache must feel for Inkpaw agreed although she couldn't believe that the words came out of her mouth when she meowed in reply, "Yes, all right, Inkpaw." What was wrong with her? Had she just accepted to go on a walk with Inkpaw? About to take her words back, Dreampaw looked up, but saw that Inkpaw was nearly out of Camp, pausing only for a moment to see if she was coming. Shaking her head mentally and giving herself a strict reprimand in her mind, she padded gracefully after him.
